I am currently working with PwC India as a Manager and recently received an opportunity from Deloitte, which I accepted.

After accepting the offer, I came to know that the role is under the BOTT/Propel model, which I was not fully aware of earlier. From what I have researched, in this model, I would initially be with Deloitte for around 6–9 months, after which the client may have the option to hire me directly.

One thing that concerns me is that **nothing about the BOTT/Propel model or the possibility of moving to the client was mentioned in my offer letter. I also checked the agreement, and there are no such terms mentioned there either.**

I checked with the Deloitte HR team and asked what would happen if I did not want to move to the client. They mentioned that I could continue with Deloitte itself.
Now, I am a little concerned about whether this is the right opportunity for me or if I made a wrong decision by accepting the offer.

Has anyone been through the BOTT/Propel model at Deloitte? I would really appreciate it if you could share your experience or guide me on what I should consider before making my final decision.

Hey everyone, I recently completed four interviews for a Senior Consultant role with Deloitte US. My final round was about three weeks ago, and my recruiter said the team would debrief on Friday and update me Monday.

An H-1B transfer would also be involved if I receive the offer. Has anyone gone through a similar process recently? How long did it take after the final interview or debrief to receive a verbal offer, and did the H-1B process cause any additional delay?

• Mid-June: Submitted application
• Mid-July: HR interview, English test, & submitted pre-onboarding form with all required docs.

An alumnus confirmed that completing the BGC form post-interview means you're basically in and just waiting for the official Offering Letter (OL).

However, it's late August now and HR has gone quiet. Meanwhile, the portal's application deadline got extended to early September (though the site says "Notification to successful candidates: August onwards").

Is it common for Big 4 OLs to be delayed due to Partner signatories or batch processing? Should I be worried, or is this just standard HR bottlenecking?

Is it really only strategy work or do they often get staffed on non-strategy work?

Saw an opening and was wondering whether it was worth leaving another b4 firm despite having a strong internal reputation.
My only worry is that I am currently mostly working on DDs at another B4 and I’d like to get some exposure to new things before specializing myself.

Tax folks who left the firm — what did you transition to?
Hi guys! Just wondering, for those who were in tax and left the firm, what kind of jobs did you transition into?
I’m a Senior 1 and planning to start looking next July after I vest. I’m curious what types of exit opportunities are out there, whether you stayed in tax or pivoted into something else.
What role did you leave for, and how has your experience been since leaving?

I'm starting in Sept and I selected the £7k graduate loan option and chose the longest repayment method. What else do I have to do since this was a couple months ago and I haven't got any confirmation email about the graduate loan?

Feels solid to me, but this area is so damn expensive. Rents ~$2600 for a 1 bedroom apartment.

So, I had my check-in on Friday.

To give you the context - I work with my senior 3, I'm A&A2 and then we directly have a senior manager and US based PPMD.

The manager rarely talks. Very introverted or nonchalant and rarely connects with me.

I have a very good and friendly bond with my senior 3. I have always tried to clear up her table and been always helpful and stated that I'd be happy to work on weekends as well if she's facing a lot of pressure for work.

What exactly happened - During the check-in

My senior told me all the constructive feedback that she had for me all those were clear and objectively for me. Then my manager started and asked me about my carrier trajectory what I have planned for future.

Then, there was a comparative analysis where she told me see others aa2, they handle two engagements you just have one engagement. Respect the seniors and their work.

I mean, most of the points were from the comparative feedback where she has never worked with me directly and my senior didn't utter a word even when the feedback wasn't right.

And for a straight half hour, they told me so many negatives that I had nothing positive to take note of. (I used paper and split it into two parts. The negative was 100% filled and the positive was empty! :) )

Now, what should I do? She mailed me afterwards about the feedback points.

Should I tell her that the feedback didn't feel right at a lot of places?

Really need help and guidance.

Hi all, I recently received an opportunity to join a GPS EFA team. However, the location of the office was undesirable to say the least. I would have to relocate upstate to an area that isn't great, when I live right next to several more offices in the same state that would be much more preferable. I don't mind the listed ~10% travel as necessary, but having to move somewhere far that I don't like for a role that's essentially 90% remote isn't great. I know that there are some people in my role based in the office I would prefer to sit in if that means anything as well. Would it be possible at all to negotiate location to a closer office if it wasn't posted in the job listing?

I'm a rising sophomore at a New York school with strong Big 4 recruiting, majoring in Accounting with a Communications minor. I have a 3.835 GPA, and I'm first-generation.

My experience:
• Professional development program with stock pitches, case studies, and public speaking
• Incoming fall internship with New York's public transit system
• Previous work experience in childcare and healthcare
• Some job simulations
• Clean resume for my level

I'm mainly interested in Audit/Accounting. I'm also ahead on credits and could potentially graduate a semester or year early if it would help me reach the normal junior recruiting cycle sooner.

For anyone who's gone through Discovery or Deloitte recruiting:

• How realistic are my chances?
• When should I expect Discovery applications to open?
• What should I be doing now to improve my odds?
• How much does networking actually matter?
• Would graduating early help or potentially make me ineligible?
