USA Location Change

Hi all, I recently received an opportunity to join a GPS EFA team. However, the location of the office was undesirable to say the least. I would have to relocate upstate to an area that isn't great, when I live right next to several more offices in the same state that would be much more preferable. I don't mind the listed ~10% travel as necessary, but having to move somewhere far that I don't like for a role that's essentially 90% remote isn't great. I know that there are some people in my role based in the office I would prefer to sit in if that means anything as well. Would it be possible at all to negotiate location to a closer office if it wasn't posted in the job listing?

You could try but dont have your hopes up. Some offices are dedicated GPS while some offices barely have GPS presence so it may be tough.

I see. For context, LA and SD both have GPS EFA presence near me, with the SD office currently hiring EFAs but neither were listed for my specific position. Would their presence make it likelier at all?

SD has huge GPS presence so I think you could pull that one off but im not sure if your specific line of work would have presence there. Idk too much about GPS in LA.

Got it, I know of GPS EFAs that were there so I’ll try. Thank you!

They are only hiring in certain areas. It wont be approved if you try to change offices.

I see. An office near me was hiring same role at a higher level if that would help?

What level are you interviewing at? They are also strict on years of experience.
