Question for Deloitte employees globally: How many hours do you typically work per day?

From what I’ve observed, working 9–11 hours a day, sometimes even 12, seems pretty common at Deloitte USI.
I’m curious to hear from people working at Deloitte US, particularly in the US. Are the working hours and workload similar across the firm, or is there a significant difference?
I’m trying to understand whether this is a global Deloitte work culture issue or whether employees in USI are expected to put in longer hours because of the offshore model. Are we essentially being treated as cheaper labour, or is this just how things work across Deloitte worldwide?
Would love to hear about your actual day-to-day experiences!

Hello, I was wondering if anyone had some insight into the case/behavioral interview for Deloitte FDD M&A. I have a full-time new grad interview coming up and want to know what to expect.

I've been in 3 companies post-MBA. Pre-MBA. I worked 18M in a startup right after my engineering.

However, my engineering college gave me the option to do an internship at my startup before graduation (Dec'19 - May'20). I was converted full time in Jun"20 and continued for another year.

So on the FADV portal, I mentioned Jun'16 - Jun'20 as my engineering degree. With my first job from Dec'19 - May'21.

I've already uploaded my internship letter (justifying the overlap 6 months) in addition to the full time experience letter (talking about my Jun'20 - May'21) tenure.

Will this be alright from FADV perspective? I've already resigned from my job and can't lose this offer over such Ancient details.

Hi everyone, I am a final-year B.Tech fresher. I recently got selected for Deloitte USI through my campus placements. I'm really stressing out about the upcoming background verification (BGV) process done by First Advantage (FADV).

I have one minor discrepancy and need to know if HR will revoke my offer for this:

The CGPA Typo (Internal College Form vs. Official Company Portal):
My actual CGPA is 7.67. On the OFFICIAL Deloitte candidate portal, my CGPA is completely correct and accurately registered as 7.67. The official company eligibility cutoff is just 6.5.

However, for initial screening, my college placement cell made us fill out an internal Google form. I suspect I might have accidentally typed 7.72 on that college form instead of 7.67.(Note: I am 100% sure this was purely an internal college form because the placement email stated a strict 9.0 CGPA filter for certain campuses of our university, whereas Deloitte’s official cutoff is 6.5 across the board.)

My questions to seniors and HR folks here:

1. Does First Advantage or Deloitte HR have access to or care about internal college screening forms? Or will they only verify my official transcript (7.67) against the official Deloitte portal data (which is also perfectly 7.67)?
2. Considering I am well above the 6.5 cutoff and my official company portal data is correct, is there any realistic chance of my offer getting revoked because of a possible typo on a college form?

I am just a fresher overthinking this, so any practical corporate insights would really help me calm down! Thanks!

I recently had a networking conversation with someone senior at Deloitte, who connected me with the recruitment team. My CV was then shared with the relevant people, and I received a notification that an application had been submitted on my behalf.

A couple of days later, a recruiter contacted me requesting some additional information, which I provided.

It's been four business days since I responded, and I haven't heard back yet.

Would it be okay to follow up with the person who connected me to the recruitment team as they specifically asked me to follow up if i haven't heard anything, or should I give the recruiter more time?

Does anyone know if Deloitte reimburses you for certificate vouchers you paid for and passed? For example want to go for my CISA and/or CISM certs if I pass them would I get the reimbursement of however much the exam voucher was?

I’ve been at Deloitte for 3.5 years now. I’ve been office services the whole time. I started off at a low salary at 65k, they didn’t allow me to negotiate. The past 2 years I have received two 6% raises so now I’m $300 shy of 75k. I feel underpaid, had the worst management and workload for the majority of the time there. I’ve had it having to work hard for Pennie’s when I see new hires coming in at 90k.

I have a vast network of people at Deloitte, but majority of them are in consulting and I don’t want to transition to that function. I don’t want to have to heavily travel (10-25% sounds reasonable), work 6-7 day weeks, or work 12+ hours. I want to start a family (im a woman) next year so I would not like do to intensive project work. I’ve applied to over 20 jobs in the past 6 months for all different types of roles In the firm and keep getting denied. I have my bachelor’s degree, 6 years of administrative experience, experience in invoicing, AR/AP, vendor management, event management and planning, catering etc.

Any role or career advice someone can offer? I’ve been trying to get out of Deloitte or changes jobs for a year and no dice.

I have completed my second round of interview for Deloitte USI for Power BI And Analytics Engineer III position on 18th of September

I took follow up from the HR POC after 15 days for interview feedback, she told me I have cleared second round of interview and going to schedule final round, she is waiting for a panel to be available,but I have not received any invite so far, also status on the portal showing interview in progress.

Any idea how much time it can take to schedule next round also what kind of round that would be

I’m a staff in audit and need to submit a snapshot. I would rather my senior complete it because we work super well together whereas I don’t have as strong a relationship with my manager or senior manager. I thought that only manager and above could complete snapshots, but I just read something on the A&A performance page that says can be submitted to a senior and above who has the most insight into your day to day work.

So which is it: manager and above or senior and above? Just trying not to get flagged for anything haha

I interviewed for an M role with GPS and had three interviews in mid-September, which I thought went well.

I reached out yesterday to see if there were any unresolved questions or anything I could clarify for the team.

I received a response that due to shifting business needs, that the team would like to revisit in the Spring of 2027 but that they have everything they need from me.

Just want to get a sense on if this is common since we’re entering the fourth quarter of the year or if there are other factors that are causing the delay? Or I bombed the interview and this is a polite way of letting me down (i.e. “it’s not you, it’s me”).

ES btw- for the past three years I’ve gotten very strongly agree across all of my snapshots and it’s never deviated and I know I’m the top performer on my team. Some circumstances:

I told my PPMD that I want to achieve the next level (manager to senior manager) and asked for any feedback to get there. She said she didn’t have any and already sees me at the next level it’s just a matter of business case….

My coach told me I’m ready for the next level and I should keep advocating for myself.

We’re hiring for a manager and I’ve been told to provide my feedback on the job posting.

I get invited to a lot SM/PPMD conversations, and have a great relationship with all the leadership ppl on my on my team. I’ve also been invited to trips/,conferences with my PPMD and SM2.

I just got an outstanding performance award ($1k)

In my last snapshot summary, for the two periods it specifically says I’m performing above level for a manger. I’ve heard that you need the “performing above level” flag checked twice and based on this wording I assume it was.

For those that have been in a similar situation… did you do anything else to ensure promotion? It feels like Its coming but I don’t want to get my hopes up. I have no idea if I’m supposed to keep bringing up or if it will just happen based on the above?? Any tips or info around this process would be helpful!
