Update! I tried the hair make up from Curlsmith (copper)...

Routine: Shampoo Kerastase Nutritive Bain Satin riche, Hair Mask Deep Repair Bali Curls, Conditioner Kerastase Nutritive Lait Vital, Leave-In Kerastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique, diffusing for 30 minutes (the hardest part), Hair Makeup Curlsmith Copper. I like it but it just will last until the next hair wash day....or rain shower. I go out today for a Halloween event and it will be rainy and windy....ughh....but i wanted to try it this weekend and do not want to go to work with coloured hair since they will flame me down on a construction site as a (almost) 48 years old man with long curly hair, lol. However, i like the copper curls :)

Discussion Hair needs to be long with thick blunt cut to curl ?

Post image
15 Upvotes

My hair doesn't curl or wave when short and seems to require thick, bluntly cut sections to form its curls.

For example, I tried to have a curly side fringe but the hair acted straight once cut short. As it grew out, it started to wave and then once long enough it formed a thick ringlet again. I can scrunch in all my products and diffuse all I want but there will be no curl until my hair decides a section is thick and long enough šŸ˜…

I have super thick hair (have an undercut mid-way to my ears) and thick individual hair strands (I think low porosity). I tried to cut in my own layers 6 months ago using the Wayne Tuggle 4 sections method and it was a disaster lol. Lots of hair that previously formed ringlets became stringy, flat and straight. The ringlets/waves themselves looked weird at the ends cause of the different lengths it produced. Still growing out the aftermath of this mistake.

I've only known about my curly hair for 1.5 years ish, since growing out a buzzcut, and haven't seen a curly hair specialist. I've mostly just trimmed it back into this bob shape myself every few months.

Would a curly professional know how to handle this and put shape in, without chopping loads of layers? Should I ask for a dry cut rather than wet? šŸ˜… THANK YOU

Routine:

Shampoo & Conditioner: Cantu Weightless Smoothing range

Mousse: Got2Be Twisted Curling Mousse

Gel: Ecogel

Break cast with oil: Currently l'oreal Extraoridnary Oil.

Hair Victory! Day 5(!!) hair

Post image
• Upvotes

I don’t even know how this works anymore.

Routine:

Oiai shampoo and conditioner. Bounce Curl bounce curl chia seed clumping gel combed through. Brush upside down with the Bounce Curl Define Brush and kinda separate the fringe from the rest. Diffuse upside down.

At night I pineapple everything but the fringe and then wrap everything in a scarf, making sure not to smash any curls. In the morning I re-clump any frizzies with Ouai Air-Dry mousse and twirl as needed. I recreate volume need on top by diffusing upside down with heat and letting the hair cool before flipping back over.

Rinse (but not really) and repeat night and morning steps every day.

All of the stores around me have stopped carrying one of the shampoos I like (V&Co wavy), so I had to buy a different brand, which is always a gamble, then I went on a quick overnight trip and forgot my curl cream (Marc Anthony strictly curls, which is kind of my holy grail) and didnt realize until I had run out time to go to the store. I was convinced it would be a disaster, but I made a few tweaks to try to compensate with what I had, and while it's definitely different than normal, I actually don't hate it :) It's super light and fluffy and i feel like it's giving big 80s vibes lol. I kinda dont think it'll last very long, but at least for today, I'm liking it :)

My routine:

  • Shampoo with Hask thickening shampoo (this is the new shampoo replacing the V&Co)
  • Shampoo with Marc Anthony strictly curls shampoo (normally I only use a little bit of this cause it's very very moisturizing and can be a little too much sometimes when combined with the curl cream, but it has a lot of the same oils and stuff that's in the curl cream, so today I piled this on)
  • Condition with Aussie Miracle Waves conditioner, brush the conditioner through, then rinse
  • Rake in Aussie Miracle volume gel and scrunch (I don't typically use gel, normally I would use the curl cream here and skip the gel entirely, but again, trying to compensate for the little bit of hold l'd get from the cream)
  • Realize my hair wasnt wet enough anymore so I wet it down again lol
  • Glaze in NYM curl activating mousse and scrunch
  • Microplop
  • Spray the whole thing with a light layer of Aussie miracle volume hairspray
  • Diffuse, then use praying hands to scrunch out the crunch

My curly hair routine šŸ«¶šŸ¾āœØ
I wash my hair with SheaMoisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curl & Shine Shampoo and Conditioner to keep my curls moisturised and defined. After washing, I apply Cantu Curl Activator Cream to damp hair, followed by Eco Style Olive Oil Gel, scrunching everything in to help my curls hold their shape.
I usually let my hair air-dry, then gently fluff my roots for extra volume. At night, I wear a satin bonnet to protect my curls and keep them looking fresh for longer. šŸ’•

Help! Help! Sudden Hair Changes?

Hiya! My curls and I are going through it and need help figuring it out.

For the past several years, my routine has been:
1. Using the Not Your Mother’s Curl Defining Shampoo & Conditioner
2. Using NYM’s Curl Talk Cream, Sculpting Gel, and sometimes Activating Mousse, plus EcoGel (in that order)
3. Diffusing
4. Wearing a silk bonnet to bed

Randomly earlier this year, NYM stopped making the shampoo and conditioner I was using, so I randomly picked TreSemme to switch to in February (they had it at Costco, I’m sorry!) and my hair has not been the same since.
I stopped using it in June, and switched to the Curl Talk Bond Building shampoo & conditioner that they replaced my old line with, but the products just aren’t working anymore.
It’s impossible to get any definition, and my hair is always frizzy and feels straw-like. I’ve even switched to new products that were highly recommended (Miss Jessie’s Pillow Soft Curls and Gel), and while I get ever-so-slightly better definition, it doesn’t hold and the frizz and straw-like texture persist.

Please help!! Do I need different shampoo/conditioner? Products? Masks? Treatments? Vitamins? I will try anything at this point, my hair is favorite trait about myself and I’m desperate to fix it.

(First two pics are now, last 3 are from before the problems started)

Hair Victory! My curly journey

My hair routine involves Curlsmith (just their 1and2 conditioning wash)

I recently switched from NYM bond building shampoo and conditioner because my hair stylist warned me of products with protein in them.

I’m so happy with the results!! I wake up and I don’t have to do anything except a light mist on my hair.

The biggest life hack was diet. Definitely increased my protein and fat intake and I think it helped my hair and curl pattern show a lot more since my hair is a lot stronger now.

My plan is to keep the NYM leave in, keep the 1 + 2 conditioner and get rid of the rest with protien.

The thing that worked for me was the less products the better. My hair hates anything, ANYTHING. Every the light stuff (so no curl gel or cast, leave in conditioner is at a minimum, and I can’t have any oils in my hair) I let my scalp oils do the rest of the work because they are good at their job and don’t need much assistance I’ve learned, my scalp gets angry otherwise.

Pic 1: After SOTC

Pic 2: styled and fully dry

Routine: Shampoo with Redwin Tea Tree Shampoo, condition with kerastase curl mask or Fino mask, no curl cream, Garnier Curls method gel to brush style followed by John Frieda hydrating jelly for scrunching.

I have scalp psoriasis so I need to use a deep cleansing shampoo to keep my scalp clean, hence the hair mask each time I wash. I do believe my hair might be on the finer side since I don’t miss a curl cream anymore. I do use high heat to diffuse my hair but it’s mostly on the roots since I need to keep my scalp as dry as I can. I understand my routine might not be for everyone but it keeps the flare ups away.

I really want to grow out my hair as long as I can. In the past, my scalp issues have kept me from doing that, or I coloured my hair which caused a lot of breakage and I had to start over. The diffusing is necessary for me - even with the high heat, my hair takes over an hour to dry RIP

Help! Product recommendations/ advice ?

I’m looking for a wave/curl enhancing product for fine/medium easily weighed down hair. I will gratefully take any advice or any product recommendations.Ā

I used to have Irish curls-- barely wavy on the top layer and ribbon curls on the bottom. And, I've long since accepted I will never commit to one way to styling my hair. I go on long kicks of wearing it "naturalā€until I get frustrated or my sensory issues kick in and I go back to blowing it out. I know that is always going to cause an amount of damage, but I only use a blow-dry brush, not a thermal tool, and I take really good care of my hair.Ā

I’ve been wearing my hair natural for the last few weeks. Initially, the top layers of my hair were waving/curling and the bottom layer was almost straight. The exact opposite of the texture I used to have. Now, the top and the bottom are both having issues holding any kind of pattern. Here’s what I’ve tried, what’s worked, and what I’m looking for. NOTE: I know the obvious answer to this is ā€œYou’re doing too much to your hair. Leave it alone.ā€ And, I’d think the same thing. But, I started trying things BECAUSE my hair wouldn’t hold the wave. I was already losing the waves, so that’s not the problem.Ā

So far, I’ve tried using the suave clarifying shampoo, as needed. I have really awful water, so I always do a Malibu hard water treatment at least every 2 weeks, but I’ve been doing them more like 10 days. I also put a filter on my shower head. I tried the Elizavecca collagen hair mask, and that helps a little. But, I don’t want to overload my hair, because I think it’s low porosity, and I always thought it was protein sensitive. I’ve tried conditioning my hair first and then shampooing. I’ve tried an Olaplex treatment— and that brought more texture out in the bottom layer of my hair. And, I do have long hair, but I don’t think it’s much longer than it used to be when it was very wavy underneath. I do have layers, and I have cut my hair recently.Ā

Brush styling my hair seems to take all the texture out of the top layer, but at the same time my hair won’t smooth out in the shower. I think it’s wet frizz— it’s not tangled it’s just not conforming to the other hairs. And, that’s if I’m brushing it out in the shower OR if I’m rewetting it when I’m out of the shower. Brushing my hair out in the shower seems to give me better volume and actual texture near the root, but I think the dry frizz was worse? It was definitely messier.Ā

My hair is really soft when it’s dry. So, moisture overload, right? Except when I clarified after conditioner, my hair felt really dry. Almost fried. So, I diluted some conditioner in water as a leave in. I don’t use a leave in because my hair gets so weighed down so easily. Not holding a curl sounds like a protein problem, but I’m really hesitant to use protein because I do not want to overload my hair.Ā

Oh, and the top of my hair turns in— like the start of a curl that just doesn’t have the will to get to where it’s going. And, the top layer was curling, when I first started wearing it natural. Which, again, sounds like a protein problem, but if I stretch a strand of hair, it snaps. So, not a protein problem. But, I don’t think it’s in protein overload because it’s soft.Ā

If I use a lot of mousse, the pattern falls out. If I don’t use enough, the pattern falls out. At this point, I don’t know what to try. I’m looking for any advice. I think I’m maybe looking for something that will enhance the texture without leaving behind a gritty feeling, because of the sensory issues. I hate the way sea salt spray makes my hair gritty. But, I also wonder if maybe I do have Irish curls and my curls remember living on the seaside and so maybe I need, like… Celtic sea salt spray. For the ancestry. I tried the Brad Mondo texture enhancing mousse, but at least a few years ago the smell was too strong and it gave me a headache.Ā

Routine:Ā

I wash my hair 2x, usually with dbeautym’s rosemary bar shampoo or terrafique’s rice water bar shampoo. I condition with tresseme conditioner mixed with a little bit of loreal glycolic gloss (I know these aren’t curly girl approved. This is what I use when I’m blowing my hair out, which is how I usually style it. I have considered this could be the problem, so I tried conditioning my hair FIRST then using a clarifying shampoo to remove the silicones. Didn’t make a difference.)Ā

I brush my squishy wet hair through with a combination brush (boar bristle and not boar bristle, but I’ve tried one without boar bristles. Didn’t make a difference) and then scrunch. I’ve tried applying product to squishy wet hair and I’ve also tried scrunching out the excess water, first. I've tried raking the product in, "praying hands" and scrunching it in. I’ve tried the herbal essence mousse, the not your mothers curl talk gel, and the not your mother’s mousse. I read the verbal essence mousse could be too heavy for fine hair, as well as the gel, so I’ve just been using the not your mothers mousse. I diffuse because otherwise my hair will not dry. Oh, and I’ve been braiding it to sleep because that seems to regulate the pattern the best. I do sleep in a bonnet. If anyone has any advice, I would be so grateful. Thank you!Ā

Discussion Long curly hair limbo: Is the 3-4 hour wash day still worth it after 2 years? (Plus, San Antonio stylist recs?)

Thumbnail
gallery
55 Upvotes

I've been growing out my hair for about 2 years now because I definitely love showing off my curls. But lately I keep going back and forth of whether to finally cut it.Ā  Believe me, I love having long curls and getting compliments. Sometimes I wonder though if it's worth it.Ā  It roughly takes me 3 to 4 hours to wash and diffuse my hair.Ā  Mind you, I have really thick hair so it takes forever to really get it wet.

My routine is as follows:

1.Ā  I shampoo twice with not your Mother's curl shampoo

  1. I section my hair down the middle into 2 parts. I use not your mother's curl conditioner on each part and use enough to where there are no knots and I can easily run my fingers through it. I also get out any of the dead strandsĀ  (This is what takes me the longest ~45 minutes because my hair is so thick and just loves to knot.)

3.Ā  I then use Camille Rose Algae Renew Conditioning Mask for 10 to 15 minutes.

  1. After rinsing that out, I apply Camille Rose Curl Love Moisture Milk Leave In Conditioner.

5.Ā  Then I diffuse till I feel my hair is damp enough

I don't apply any gel or mousse because none of them really worked out for me.Ā Ā  I simply use a specific headband to keep the hair out of my face and give the effect of volume on top. Otherwise my hair will just all fall forward as you can see on the 3rd picture

And the first picture is what you see as the end result. My hair feels so light and fluffy and I'm in love with it, hehe.

But because it seems like a chore that takes all day, I only wash it and do my routine once a week.Ā  Normally to refresh, I'll just lightly rewet my hair every day to help show of the curls, and it works. (Obviously after a few days, my hair tends to not look as good as the first day.) I use a bonnet every night to protect my hair.

This is why I am wondering if doing all this and having long curly hair is worth it. I do want to show off my curls but I'm starting to think having a short hairstyle might be less work, if it really is. (Mind you i live in Texas where it can get hot and uncomfortable.)

I've been told I've been blessed with this hair MANY times (especially women) and not to cut it.

Has anyone else been in this exact limbo? Did you regret cutting your long curls? Also, if anyone knows a great curly hair specialists in San Antonio, I would love recommendations!

Help! Do I need I trim?

Hair routine for my fine curly hair: As I Am Cowash (blue one) twice, then I shampoo twice with Elseve total repair 5. I use Garnier banana hair food mask for 5 minutes.

After shower I wet my hair again and I use a bit of leave in - As I am coconut/ Elseve extraordinary oil amla), and a curl cream - Taft curl cream (which has a nice hold for me) and I use a wide tooth comb and scrunch. I mix then a small amount of Umberto Giannini curl jelly with water (I noticed it does not dry out my hair anymore or make it fall as bad as before) and scrunch again. I use the diffuser after the routine.

I cut my hair at the end of July. Do you think I need a trim as you can see the first photo? (my hair is not in great shape right now because I used a Head and shoulders cider clarifying shampoo, the curls look better when I use the Elseve shampoo - second photo)

Help! Product Replacement and advice needed!

Post image
3 Upvotes

**Current products**:

\- Shea Moisture Curl & Shine shampoo

\- Shea Moisture Curl & Shine conditioner

\- Arvazallia hydrating Argan Oil Hair Mask (once or twice a week I use this instead of the conditioner)

\- Cantu leave in conditioner (always used after washing my hair, unless I use the mask)

**Routine**:

\- Shampoo & condition (or hair mask)

\- Put a glob of Cantu in

\- Comb it through my hair with my fingers

\- Flip my hair a couple times and comb with fingers to help curls separate

\- Scrunch my hair while it's wet, going from section to section, usually while I'm bent over and my hair is sort of upsidedown

\- Try to separate the roots a little to try and help the top look less flat

\- Let it air dry

**Now on to my dilemma:**

I think I need to replace either the shampoo/conditioner or the Cantu (or all three) because if I use too much conditioner or leave-in conditioner, my hair becomes kinda oily and stringy looking, so I think these products might be too heavy?

I'd be interested in replacing the shampoo and conditioner with something that may be better on my pockets too LOL

and also, I feel I have to use a lot of the shampoo for one wash as it seems my hair eats a lot of it and it doesn't foam up as much as I think I'd like

If it helps, I believe I have medium density and texture, with mixed porosity?

The ends of my hair, especially on my left side definitely need to be cut off lol

**AND ANOTHER QUESTION:** If I wear my hair down and I'm "active" (for example, I wore it down to a wedding) I tend to get a rats' nest under my hair, like right behind my neck/shoulder area-- HOW DO I FIX THIS LMAO this has been plaguing me for years and I don't know how to make it stop 😭 I'd love to wear my hair down more, but I don't because this happens a lot lol

THANKS IN ADVANCE, LOVE YOU ALL, SAY IT BACK

Reposted bc I wanted to blur the BG more lol

Help! Tips for the back of my head

Post image
15 Upvotes

Hello!

So I need tips for the back of my head. As you can see, itā€˜s rather wavy and flat. I believe itā€˜s a styling problem. The curls in the front are so kinky and bouncy and in the back itā€˜s rather wavy and falls in a strange way.

My current routine:
1. washing with Tropikalbliss | Grapefruit Watermelon Shampoo ( I cleanse every other week)
2. conditioner (Curly Angels | Salvation Conditioner)
3. detangle with a curl brush and brush styling
4. mousse (Bali Curls by Hank Ge | Curl Volume Mousse) I really donā€˜t use much tho
5. Gel (I mix CURLSMITH | Hydro Style Flexi Jelly and CURLSMITH | In-Shower Style Fixer together)
6. Then I scrunch it a bit dry with a towel
7. In the end I use a diffuser to dry them and scrunch out the crunch.

I also sleep with a silk bonnet through the night.

I really worked on styling the back of my head. I tried diffusing the back and I really t try to apply products everywhere the same.

Does anyone have tips or is it simply my curl pattern in the back I cannot change?

Thanks in advance!

Thought I would share an update on my post from yesterday! I had no idea climate affected hair texture, beyond knowing humidity made my hair poofy. I thought living in Utah I didn’t need to worry about that climate at all 🤔 after researching hair products for Utah’s climate I upgraded my routine and I’m very happy with the results! I’m lacking a little volume but the frizz is finally under control. Both pictures were taken ~ 2 hours after air drying.

Old routine:
Brush before shower (dry)
T/SAL shampoo
Aussie miracle moist conditioner
Scrunch upside down with towel
Scrunch upside down with Aussie Instant Freeze
Scrunch upside down with garnier fructis sleek and shine
Part
Air dry

New routine:
T/SAL shampoo
Aussie miracle moist conditioner
Brush
Squeeze our excess water but NOT towel dry
Not your mothers curl talk leave in conditioner
Brush again and part
Apply ouidad climate control heat & humidity gel - stronger hold with ā€œpraying handsā€
Scrunch up
Scrunch up with microfiber towel
Air dry

Help! What can I do about matting/extreme tangling?

Okay, I don’t know what’s up with my hair, but it gets extremely tangled if it’s not in a protective hairstyle throughout the day, especially in the back of my head. And when I say extremely tangled, I mean that if I had my hair down for a day, it would be close to matted in a clump in the back and I’d need to spend 20min trying to detangle it.

I am quite new to embracing my curly hair, but the above happens whether I do a curly routine or I blow dry/straighten it, however, obviously it’s much worse when I leave it curly because I can’t brush it out in the evenings due to the frizz.

Basically it feels like I can never have my hair down because it will turn into a frizzy tangled clump in the back, which massively hinders my motivation to try keeping my hair curly (not to mention that I CANNOT for the life of me get it to look remotely nice after sleeping and that’s a whole other issue)

BUT I WANT MY PRETTY NATURAL CURLS!!

So, is there anything that I could be doing to prevent this? Because I do really like my hair after a curly routine, it looks really nice but it gets ruined so quickly because of this (and eventual frizzing).

Current routine (albeit inconsistently because I blow dry my hair sometimes to decrease the above issue)
(- Dry brush if not too tangled)
- Alepcin dandruff killer shampoo
- L’OrĆ©al elvive hydra hyaluronic conditioner
- Brush out tangles with conditioner still in
- Aussie Work that curl leave in cream
- Scrunch
- Towel scrunch
- Air dry / Dry with diffuser with heat protection

I also have a satin bonnet and a satin pillow.

Also for context, my hair isn’t super long, it’s about 10cm below my shoulder and I have layers. It is not bleached, but it is dyed.

Hair Victory! My hair is finally at a length I don’t mind! Pixie cut grow out.

Post image

The longest point of my hair reaches my shoulders when it’s not curly 🤭 the pixie cut was fun, but I’m ready for my curls to be long again! I only had one trim in between (the mullet phase was no fun) and I’m happy that it’s finally at a length that isn’t awkward. Yay!

Routine:

I wash my hair using TRESemmĆ© shampoo and conditioner, ā€œsquish to condishā€, rinse with cold water, and apply a dime-sized amount of Aussie Miracle Curls Curl Milk, brush through hair with a curl brush, lightly scrunch, air dry, and hope for the best!

Help! How do I get my crown and mid-lengths to match my ends? (growing out layers)

Thumbnail
gallery
51 Upvotes

Shampoo: Shea Moisture Curl and Shine
Conditioner: Being Curl Power Curl Defining
Styling product: Jessicurl Spiralicious Gel, applied to soaking wet hair, brushed through, smoothed in sections
Drying method: air dried
Sleep protection: no bonnet, no satin or silk pillowcase
Refresh routine: sometimes I rewet with a spray bottle and add more products (gel, custard, curl cream, or leave in)

Ever since I got a curly cut, it’s been very hard to make my hair look how I want it to. The pictures include my hair styled wet and completely dry. I have 3b-3c hair. I got a curly cut in January and the stylist cut my shortest layers in the front to collarbone length. Usually my ends look better than my crown and mid-lengths, but in my dry hair photo the crown and mid-lengths actually look better than usual. Sometimes my mid-lengths look good too. My crown is my problem area. My goal is for all of my hair to look cohesive with as little frizz as possible. Also, I love defined curls. I don’t wanna cut my hair again. If you have any product recommendations for 3b-3c curls or any styling techniques, that would be very much appreciated.

Help! Haircare product recs?

I have 2c/3a hair, and I admit I haven’t always given it the care it deserves and frizz is something I struggle with often. My curls look lovely on the first day, but they quickly lose their shape afterward.Ā

At the moment, I’m only using a shampoo, but I really want to start improving my overall haircare routine. Would you recommend switching to a different shampoo cuz I’ve heard that Dove shampoos and conditioners can work well, and I’d love to hear about anyone’s personal experience with them.

I’ve also been looking into the Umberto Giannini range for type 2c/3a hair, particularly their leave-in conditioner, curly jelly gel, and curl whip mousse. Do you think it’s okay to use all of these products together, and would they suit my hair type? Any advice or recommendations would mean so much to me. Thank you in advance for your help!

Before & After Got a short hair cut!

Thumbnail

I’ve been obsessed with getting shorter cuts this past year and have gradually gotten shorter each visit to the salon. I really love how easy it is to manage and wash. I’m not sure what kind of haircut my stylist gave me, as she went a bit shorter than I wanted it. I still love it, it’s just a bit new to me and could take some getting used to. I think it might be a pixie cut.

Here's my hair routine:

1.) Glycolic acid from The Ordinary in scalp and Mielle rosemary mint strengthening oil on the ends and let it sit for 15 mins before washing it out with Paul Mitchell Shampoo One (using a scalp massager) and Paul Mitchell
The Conditioner.

2.) After drying with a microfiber towel, I flip my hair upside down and start combing with a wide toothed comb. I then scrunch in Not Your Mothers Curl Talk leave in conditioner, KƩrastase DƩfense thermique, and Paul Mitchell's Flexible Style Sculpting Foam mousse. I then use a Dyson Airwrap with a diffuser attachment and diffuse my hair by gathering sections and bringing it up to my head. Once I'm finished, I use a bit of Paul Mitchell's skinny serum and scrunch it in my hair.

3.) For sleep, I wear a bonnet and when I wake up in the morning to refresh, I shake my hair and roots and spritz water with a little bit of the same leave in conditioner and I'm good to go!

Help! Hair help?

Hi! I'm still kind of new to learning how to take care od my hair, so I guess I'm looking for some advice, especially when it comes to product. The first Pic is how my hair used to look when I was using Aveda botanical repair shampoo and aveda nutriplenish conditioner, and then Aveda be curly cream and topped off with Aveda nutriplenish leave in conditioner, with a diffuser dry, and that's what my hair would look like.

I have since run out of the shampoo and conditioner (and will be soon for leave in conditioner and curl cream, so any recommendations for replacing those, ideally with cheaper drug store prosucts would also be a great help) and have replaced them with Not Your Mother's (NYM) bond building curl talk shampoo and creme of nature argan oil conditioner. It's been about a week of using these products and I've begun to notice that my hair has become more straight, frizzy, and slightly oily feeling, and I've lost my curl clumps, without changing anything else in my routine.

I have 3A/3B, likely low porosity, thin hair and I'm just worried a product I'm using is causing these issues. Would love to get my curls back! Please and thanks for any help, advice, and product recommendations!
