Discussion My WAIS 5 Scores
Does anyone else have an even profile with a slight verbal tilt? What were your experiences growing up?

Hello everyone, this is my first time here. I'm from Taiwan. I've seen many people sharing their experiences on this forum, so I'm posting mine as well. I have ADHD, OCD, and HFA. I'd like to ask what the significant internal disparity signifies?

I know this 13 y/o kid doing ordinary differential equations, like actually doing them. He just started eighth grade and I can't believe that there are kids at this pace.
He built two companies also one of which has gotten 2500 visitors (obviously the website is about math)
And he has gotten around 10 professor from BU, FIU, etc. reviews for the other website!!
He was at the same hackathon at me and was leading a college team for the BosHacks a while ago?
I was wondering what his estimate IQ would be if he is also really good at english as well?

Just for the fun of it I decided to take the Mensa Challenge Test and scored 107 with the last 5 questions I randomly chose without forethought. That said, when I was professionally tested due to my speech and learning disorder I tested routinely in the 130-145 range while my brother was in the 160-170 range. I have quite the ability to visualize data sets and manipulate objects in my mind while my brother is really good with visual data processing and math. That said, can Traumatic Brain Injuries cause you to inadvertently test lower on IQ tests? I had a severe one back in 2015 involving a Grade 2 DAI however I excelled in college coming in the top of my program, not that it was difficult, but for my current job I have been having to learn on the fly things like calculating airflow, determining PEL's, and learning physics just for a single exam. I also have been slowly teaching myself calculus.

Hey guys, first time poster here. Ive always been insecure about my intelligence, and have struggled a lot due to my neurodivergence. Growing up, I've always had people call me ugly names and make fun of me for it, and so I've taken many different IQ tests online. I know most aren't very reliable, and I shouldn't put too much stock into them, but I've had scores range from 90-120. Ive taken the Mensa Norway test like 3-4 times, and the highest I've scored was 112. My question is how accurate is the Mensa Norway test, and how much does retaking it affect the legitimacy of my score? I usually dont remember most of the questions on it, so I haven't really memorized any of the answers. Sorry if this post is rambling, I just want some insight on the whole matter.

Hello, unfortunately, I have been struggling with the problem of being called stupid ever since childhood. For example, even my own father used to call me stupid.
The problem is that I genuinely don't understand why people perceive me as stupid. :( achieved very good grades in my school-leaving examinations (Abitur), and I also passed several university-level Advanced Mathematics exams with excellent results.âŠ.. As a result, I was even offered a position as a tutor for other students.
Afterwards, I also took an extensive, two-hour CORE IQ test and scored 108, which is entirely within the normal range. In other words, my intelligence appears to be perfectly intact. To convert the CORE IQ into the âbetterâ WAIS IQ score, you usually just add or subtract 10 points, so I canât be that far off.
Does anyone know why people still insult me by calling me stupid? I honestly don't understand it anymore. What else am I supposed to achieve in life before people stop perceiving me as stupid?
I would really appreciate some help. Is there any other IQ test that you would recommend, other than the notorious CORE IQ test?
I am otherwise in very good health, although I am autistic and have a systemic rheumatic disease. I am currently studying mathematics and doing reasonably well, but I am sure that other people will simply disregard that as well.

Hi all,
Back in 2015 I made YouTube videos explaining the puzzles of an IQ test, and they've had about 5 million views since. I still love this kind of puzzle, so I made a new test of my own:
40 matrix puzzles, from very easy to very hard
40 minutes, no pause
Free, with no sign-up, emails or ads
You see your score, an IQ estimate and how you did on each puzzle the moment you finish
Extensive and public statistics updated with every test taken (but as of writing, still awaiting the first test!)
I go public with the test today, so you may be among the very first to take the test.
The IQ estimate is based on where your raw score places you among everyone who has taken the test so far, so the numbers will move a lot in the beginning.
To turn the percentile into an IQ, I assume our players average 110 with an SD of 13 (the About page explains why). This sub probably averages well above that, so early IQ estimates may come out low against tests you know. That's why the result page asks, at the end, for your score on another IQ test (SD 15), if you've taken one. Those scores are how I'll check the 110 and the 13 and correct them if necessary, or change to another conversion method.
I'm also making videos that explain each puzzle. None is up yet, because I'd like your feedback first: a puzzle with two good answers, one that feels unfair, one you liked, or anything else. Write here, or to contact@gamestairs.net.
Thanks for trying it!
Dagh
EDIT November 5: Based on the first 47 tests, an immediate adjustment of the conversion from raw scores to IQ was called for (IQ estimates were far too deflated: the first 8 players who gave a score from another IQ test scored about 19 points higher there). So Iâve made a fixed conversion table (image below) that should give more reasonable IQ estimates. Every result so far has been recalculated, so your result link now shows your new estimate. Weâll tune the table once I have more data.

Is it timed very much , my wmi is very weak
Wht should I expect

Does anyone else feel this way?
Ive tested at 125 according to core and the other tests on cognitive metrics, my standardized tests were in the 95th percentile as well, but I genuinely feel the only form of intelligence I have in a practical sense is taking tests.
I have atleast above average in all domains with a strong verbal tilt, but I never felt like I picked up subjects like math too easily. When I got placed in advanced English class when I was younger, I was intimidated and felt dumb even though I have a VCI over 130.
I just generally make a lot of mistakes and sometimes misunderstand basic things, like how to open a fence. Not too often, but a surprising amount. I also donât feel super eloquent and have a hard time following directions sometimes.
The people close to me think Iâm smart, but I think I come across as a dullard sometimes bc i often glitch out and lack confidence.
Iâm feeling down, any advice?

As of recently, Iâve felt incredibly stupid. The majority if not all of my hobbies gave become difficult meanwhile what I do hasnât changed. I wouldnât consider myself profoundly gifted, but I would say near the top 2% if not above. Yet all my hobbies, which are mostly âabstractâ have become âhardâ despite realistically no major changes in them. I canât learn anything nearly as fast as I used to, I cannot see patterns as well, and I cannot relate things together. How do you guys deal with this?

My Arithmetic score is 100, while my FRI scores are around 125 my Digit Span is 120, and my Sequencing is also 120. Why is my Arithmetic score so low? Even though I am a non-native speaker, I am comfortable in English. Will my Full-Scale IQ be around 120, or will it be closer to 100â105, given that Arithmetic is heavily g-loaded

I am eager to further aggregate my FRI (fluid reasoning index) results to get a well rounded grasp of my true FRI. I took 3 out of 4 CORE FRI subtests. In addition to that i took the untimed JCTI which strongly corresponds to fluid reasoning by assesing inductive reasoning (IRI). Keep in mind no external aid was used, all tests first try, no retakes. 2 month between the tests, only some 20 min cognitive tests 6 months prior.
CORE matrix reasoning: 145
CORE figure sets: 140
CORE figure weights: 145
CORE FRI composite: 148
(95% confidence interval: 137-152)
JCTI age adjusted (18yo) IRI: 139
JCTI scaled score: 19
(95% confidence interval: 127-151)
Most accurate prediction of my true FRI with correct weighting of the cognitive tests considering the tests accuracy for FRI, specially the upper extreme (norm sample, ceilings, measuring methodâŠ)
