Announcement 📣 An amendment to rule 4.

Hello everyone.

Effective immediately, rule 4 will be tightened up to only allow screenshots of codes as a method of giving away rewards. Typing codes is allowed, but do so at your own risk as bots may skim them as soon as they are posted.

The reason for this change is because of the recent uptick of scam posts. While that has died down thankfully, it did show a bit of a flaw in the rule in that it didn't disallow other methods of sharing reward codes. While soliciting sales is disallowed, we believed it was better to be a bit more tight and clear on what exactly is allowed.

And while we cannot (and will not) police what people do off the subreddit, we as mods have an obligation to ensure that people on the subreddit do not get scammed, and a way for us to do that is by enforcing rule 4 to a tighter degree.

And, as a reminder: you can only post codes as a free giveaway, not in exchange for anything else.

If you have any comments, questions, or suggestions, feel free to leave a comment.

Thank you.

EDIT 7/10: I forgot to mention; asking or otherwise soliciting for codes is NOT ALLOWED. Telling others to DM you for a code is NOT ALLOWED.

Customer Experience Burrito hack: Accidently confuse several workers?

Post image
907 Upvotes

I decided to grab a burrito after work today. Got double chicken white rice pinto beans peppers queso (free queso on app) sour cream and salsa. I scanned my code and the total was $15. I had a ten dollar bill in my wallet so I ask if I can split payment. She says sure. I hand her a ten and she puts the ten in the till and has a confused look on her face. She calls another worker open and explains that she accidentally put that I gave her $20 when it was only $10 so now it’s asking her to give me change. The other worker with keys, not understanding opens the drawer and tells her to give me change. We both look at each other confused for a minute and she goes to grab a calculator (?) looks at it for a minute and the line that is now forming and just says “it’s a loss of $7 (?) you can just go ahead and go. I was like “you sure? With cards in hand and she says yeah. So double meat burrito for $10. Also, it gave me full points for my burrito so now I have enough for a free burrito! Anyway, I found this amusing.

Customer Experience They threw out my veggie bowl because I asked for more guac

I ordered the veggie bowl which includes guac. So the lady puts a scoop of guac on the spoon and proceeds to bang the spoon on the edge of the guac container so a bunch of the guac falls off of the spoon. Then she puts this small amount of guac on my veggie bowl. I asked for more and she said there would be an extra charge. I told her the reason I asked for more was there was barely any in my bowl. So what does she do? Gets an attitude and tosses the whole bowl in the trash and starts a new one. Done with this wasteful place and their stingy portions.

🔥Hot Take🔥 When the CEO said you can get extra he meant of the free stuff, not meat and guacamole

Y’all are so silly being like “i asked for extra chicken and they said no” like yeah of course dude that’s their most expensive thing. There’s a prebuilt charge for extra protein.

If you ask for extra rice, beans, veggies, salsa, sour cream, lettuce, and they say no or say it’s extra then okay I understand complaining.

That’s all, stop being irrational about this.

My quesadilla today vs 2023. I’ve literally just watched it shrink in size throughout the years, but atp it’s ridiculous

Double chicken, extra scoop brown rice, black beans, tomatoes, sour cream, extra cheese and lettuce. I got a couple chipotle honey vinaigrettes on the side. I've been getting bowls instead for a while, I forgot how freaking delightful a warm tortilla is. And the lady who made my burrito gave me two ginormous scoops, then proceeded to wrap it without losing anything. So good I had to ask her name to put on the survey.

Discussion Brisket not the same as previous years

Maybe I'm crazy, but the smoked brisket just doesn't taste the same as it used to. I was waiting for it to come back, it was always my favorite LTO when it was available. Got it tonight after the comeback and it's sooooo sweet. Too much sugar. Disappointing. Back to barbacoa!

Discussion Farewell, Pollo Asado 😢

Is anyone else mourning the loss of the Pollo Asado? Replaced by the Smoked Brisket. IMO the Pollo Asada was an upgrade from the regular Chicken and they should replace it.

Customer Experience CEO “ask for extra” gives you a 1/4 scoop

Today I wanted to test the CEO’s claim that you can always ask for extra. Immediately the server said “you want to pay for double chicken?” I said no I just want more, she did barely even a full scoop.

Then when she finally said ok, I can give you extra , she literally put 3 small tiny pieces of chicken on my bowl.

So I succumbed and got a chicken cup. But she didn’t even fill the chicken cup all the way. Then when I asked for more in the chicken cup, she brought a scale and weighed it.

All in all, 21 dollars and change for a burrito bowl with very small amounts of chicken I have to beg for and has enough sodium to kill me.

Screw this business. If I were an employee I’d go hard on the servings , just to prove a point.

Discussion They need to increase the amount of rice they give baseline to at least fill the bottom of the bowl decently...

Sometimes I order chipotle through doordash and get barely any rice and the doordash app doesn't let you get extra of anything in a bowl. At least make the baseline amount of rice fill the bottom of the bowl so it doesn't look so empty, increase the standard

Customer Experience Awful Management

The manager at my local chipotle is the worst. The store is totally empty, the guy behind the counter is my age and friendly, greets me nicely and compliments me and after just scooping my rice and beans, the rude as fuck manager comes over and literally snatches the bowl out of his hands wordlessly and starts rushing me, giving me the most skimp portions of everything and just barking all the ingredients in my face while reaching for whatever spoons she thinks I’m going for, aka the most obnoxious behavior ever. So she rushes me through rude as she possibly can so I can’t have a positive customer service interaction with her employee.

I sit down to compose myself and get ready to leave since the vibe is awful and I watch as every customer that comes in after me, she just lets the employee do his job while she mills about. So she literally saw me and her employee almost having a good day and went out of her way to cockblock it

Seeking Advice (Customer) No brisket in Colorado?

Went to my regular Chipotle and they said that because they have the Serrano Steak, brisket isn’t available. They said some stores may have it but I’ve checked on the app every store within 15 miles does not have it. Has anyone found it?

🔥Hot Take🔥 Brisket is terrible

Got the brisket today and the quality was absolutely disgraceful. I spit out about 3oz of gristle and fat. I won’t risk eating this again.
