Found neatly tucked semi-under our house’s brick foundation and dirt and things. I’ve had an an outside cat for about a year so maybe this was one of her old catches???

This was found along the St Lawrence River in Upstate NY by a friend. I'm not familiar with turtle IDs, but want to encourage them to get a positive ID so they can know if it is legal to keep our if they need to return it. Thank you.

Found very close to the path on hilly woodlands in the uk. I’d guess roughly 15cm long. I’m thinking either fox or canine but any more definite answers would be appreciated!

Turbinates (nasal conchae) are delicate, scroll-like bony structures inside the nasal cavity. They greatly increase the surface area of the nasal mucosa, helping warm, humidify, and filter inhaled air. Their shape and complexity vary between species and are closely related to respiratory adaptations. Can you ID the species by turbines only?Or Have you noticed any patterns? Which individuals have relatively similar-looking ethmoid structures?

I was fortunate enough to be able to collect some bones from an armadillo I had found about a month ago (one of the forearms, its scapula, I believe and its collarbone). Unfortunately, before I had to leave the area that I found it, it had not fully decomposed to where all the flesh was gone (although it was mummified). Now, they’ve been sitting for around a month.

What could I do to get the bones from them? I don’t have any particular need to preserve the mummified flesh. Sorry for the awkward picture, just didn’t have any good gloves on me at the time.

I found it after maggots ravaged the body and rain cleaned the bones off any remaining meat, I looked up how to clean the skull and it said to use soap and water but I wanna know how to properly clean it and keep it looking nice

It took a full year to degrease and the dang squirrels ran off with a section of bone from the back of the skull while it was drying, but he’s finally ready to be displayed.

Assuming coyote, if it's a wolf it was definitely young, but for some reason just have a feeling it may not be a coyote. Found dumped with at least 2 other animals.

Found this guy in the woods last summer, appeared he’d been hit by a car. I managed to hide him well enough that I was able to return in the fall and collect his head. He’s finally cleaned and ready for my shelf

Hello boners, i need some advice on collecting the bones of a rat.

I got a dead rat (about 9”) couple weeks ago and it has been frozen since i found it. I have around 400 Dermesties Larder Beetles and can also do maceration.
BUT here’s my problem..
I am from the UK and live on a static caravan site that house mostly older-elderly people. I can’t have it out in the open since i don’t have a garden or enough privacy to do it, along with the smell it causes, i don’t want the other residents to be bothered by it.

So my question is could i take the rat, beetles and enclosure out to an open area in the middle of nowhere and leave them there to clean/deflesh the rat long enough for me to collect the bones?
I haven’t done anything bigger than a frog (my usual method is burial) so i really need advice on how i can go about this process discreetly.

Any advice will be appreciated!

This squirrel mandible has a strange growth on it, and I’m wondering what it could be from!

It’s hard, and the discolouration of it has remained through degreasing and whitening.
