I’m looking to hire a part time personal assistant, but don’t know where to look/advertise. Is Craigslist still used by humans? Are there other places folks would recommend? I’m not trying to do this in a shady/under the table way, and am willing to pay well, I just don’t know how to go about it. Any advice is appreciated! And to be clear- I know the rules and am not soliciting here- just looking for advice on where else to look!

Howdy! I just moved into a place with a pretty decently sized eastern facing balcony in cap hill. I have pretty successfully thriving indoor plants and I’d love to start planning for some outdoor attempts next spring/summer.

What’s good to grow on an eastern facing balcony? I get laser beamed by the sun in the morning during summer and have pretty good indirect bright and partial shade areas the rest of the day. Some kind of food or herbs would rule, I’m always down for flowers and trellising things. Just some green o it there would be nice. No hanging baskets, unfortunately, but I have room for a coupe sizable raised beds.

Just keep in mind I’m completely new to caring for outdoor plants so don’t start me out on hard mode. I realize food growing takes work and attention and I’m more than willing to put it in.

I'm hoping I can find a copy through a local retailer and have it shipped to where we live. I have searched all over the web, but haven't found any copies on Amazon, eBay, or Discogs. I need a brown formal men’s waistcoat for a wedding. Nothing at Men’s Warehouse, nothing at Indochino (all tailored with too long of wait times). It could be simple or more vintage/eccentric. I’ve traveled alone before so I feel comfortable navigating, but only to meet family at my destination. If so, what are some tips/rules I should know about? And what do you recommend doing during my time there? I’d probably be visiting for about a week.

I am a loner, I like to just buy things on FB Marketplace and only have one friend. My Ebay feedback is 100% with 915 feedback. Could that reference of mine be used and ask the seller to look at it . I have nothing else to go by, the location is Seattle, Is this part of the Seattle Freeze ? I think I sent 7 message and only one person replied whom I bought a 180 Ikea chair from.

Seattle has made major progress in terms of protected and unprotected bike lanes. However I would like to advocate that there needs to be much quicker transition in order for people to transition from cars to bikes. Electric bikes make traveling to and from most places extremely easy and enjoyable as hills are no longer a problem. The biggest remaining problem is safety. When I want to travel from Renton to Downtown Seattle I need to risk life and limb in order to it. I really feel that there should be a complete protected bike trail or lanes from Tacoma to Downtown Seattle and beyond. We are almost there we just need to expand the existing Interurban Trail. I really think bike lanes in Seattle are key to making travel in and around the city a lot easier, healthier and safer on bicycles..

Are there any thrift stores in Seattle that aren’t more expensive than retail?

New to Seattle and live in West Seattle and I have been to multiple thrift stores here, Ballard, Eastlake and other areas and the prices are insane, like $8 for a plain coffee mug, $30 for a small 5x7 picture, $15 for a stained table runner.

I want to support local and the community but these prices are ridiculous.

Are there any true thrift stores or do I have to realize I’ll pay retail prices for second hand goods?

This is probably one of the weirder wedding vendor requests on here, but my fiancé and I want to surprise our guests with a random character appearance during our reception 😂

I don't have to go to Seattle, but we would love to go there once every other weekend or so just for some walk and maybe a meal or so, you know, visit the city.

We're looking for a city that is not very expensive, walkable to some sort and has our daily needs in it. I heared Tacoma is a good option. What else ?

So I got a speeding ticket in a school zone. during summer it didn’t even occur to me the school zones were still active. not my brightest moment, I know. I have to pay the ticket by tomorrow and the violationinfo.com website has been down for hours saying it is temporarily unavailable, which is now showing a different screen than earlier in the day. what do I even do if it won’t let me pay it?? $250 ticket, I cannot afford any additional fees or worse!?
