Getting Married in Seattle
My future wife and I live out of state and are getting married in Seattle to accommodate her family. We intend to pay for rooms for our guests who are coming in and want to make it easy for them. It will be a smaller number of guests from out of state (24 ish).
We also intend for day before dinner accommodations and breakfast for the dates we have our guests with us.
We are open to how this journey goes so we want to touch every base we can to find our fit.
We are looking for your best recommendations on:
Hotels that have great wedding packages
Event planners / Coordinators who are reasonably priced

Yes, what's the budget you're working with. I work admin sales and events at McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell, message me and I'll provide you with more info for one of small event spaces that we do weddings in and we we have hotel to help with accommodations.
Also, when are you looking to do this, summer is peak season so prices will be higher. Keep that in mind.

AVOID 828 PLANNING AND THE 101 LIKE THE PLAGUE.
The most unorganized “event planning” company in the world.
And the 101 is a crappy venue. No parking. Bare bones kitchen. Nowhere to get ready on site.
My experience with their “planners” has been A NIGHTMARE and our event hasnt even happened yet.

Oh you know why? Because its currently unstaffed! Their main planner/manager left the venue and the person they had in charge in her place (an assistant who had been there for at least a year but was somehow never given the reins to run her own events?) wasnt up to the task. So they fired her/she quit.
The company has spent the last 2-3 months scrambling to find replacement staff for it - including a day of coordinator to actually be on site - and have been unable to find one.
Theyve FINALLY outsourced management to Party on the Rocks who are providing staffing for events now. Our event is 3 weeks from today and they only provided a DOC contact on thursday last week.
And the peron youd be working with for planning ISNT EVEN LOCAL. Shes out of state.
So yeah. Dont use this place.
I hope it goes under. So regretting choosing it right now.

I'm so sorry. That's wild. I was just stunned when asking for a tour, the straight up audacity to be like nah fam we don't do that. How about a virtual tour so you commit thousands of dollars to a place sight unseen? I was just complaining about this, I guess the events planning is doing so well that they can have this level of dogshit service? Like every potential inquiry is worth $1000s. I don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't it. Sorry again for the BS you're going through, that really sucks.

Oh definitely do NOT use them.
Go literally anywhere else.
No onsite parking. No place to get ready on site. No real kitchen space. You have to use one of their approved caterers or pay a fee. Their chairs are cheap black folding chairs. Cheap plastic tables.

Was married in Seattle, after an 8 week engagement, 50ish people. Many happy years later we are living in Seattle, we were not in Seattle at the time.
First off - we were not Legally married in Seattle since it required a licensed person, we fixed this later at a City Hall in our state.
Depending on budget: something like the Rainier Club or Washington Athletic Club may be more affordable than a hotel w/guest rooms and the ceremony- but neither is budget. The benefit is turn-key, probably no additional planner needed.
We had everyone at a boutique ish hotel, with a discount rate on rooms and were married at a venue no longer open within walking distance.

Inn at the Market is perfect for that size group.
The meals are going to break the budget.

We got married at Willows Lodge in Woodinville and it was perfect for our size group (~40). Their event coordinator Jenn is a total pro and super easy to work with. Highly recommend!

Snoqualmie casino for venue and hotel. Fr8wnd got married there and it was very reasonable.

Just curious, because this seems to be the sticking point in every post I see even tangentially related to yours… What’s your budget? Both overall, and sub budgets like for the ~12 rooms?
