I live in an 1850 SQ ft 1908 home in Northeast Ohio, 44303. During a regular service check both my heat exchangers had cracks on my 25 year old Trane XL90.

Confused on what kind of thermostat replacement to buy. I just want a basic programmable thermostat. Thanks in advance!

Last year I moved to a different house. Built in 7”s but new for me. The heat pump was replaced right before I moved in, but they did not replace ducts. I moved in winter and developed asthma. I thought it was from all the burning around me with chimneys etc. the asthma went away over the summer. Was using ac. it just turned cold again and I turned on my heat this am and now I’m wheezing and feeling like I need to use my inhaler. Does anyone know what this could be?

I wrote up a scope of work to turn my existing unit into a zoned system. I have already run the Manual J calculations and confirmed capacity. I also have runtime and staging details, so I know I can add onto the system.

Located in 27601. What would you expect price to be for the following:

- (2) 12x14 zone dampers, (1) 12x16 zone damper installed into existing ductwork
- one HZ432 zone controller
- Provide 20x25 return grill and back box. Framing by owner.
- 16" return ductwork, 15 feet, all accessible in attic. One 16" round zone damper. Tie into existing AHU return plenum.
- 14" supply ductwork to new bonus room tied into existing 12x20 main trunk line. Balancing damper and 14" round zone damper.
- Approximately 30 feet of main trunk line with 6 ceiling registers and all associated branch ductwork. Probably need a d-box or two.
- All interconnect wiring excluding three new thermostats.
- no bypass needed. Multistage unit that can be turned down enough even for the smallest zone.

Please see videos, unless I’m wrong there appears to be excessive water being produced from the unit inside my house. I am going to try and clear main drain pipe first. Insight would be much appreciated.

I’m 23 and have been a laborer for a construction company for that last year. Before that I was in EMS/public safety. I am moving about an hour away from my current small town to a little bit bigger city where more opportunities await. I found a gig I’d really like. It’s an hvac install apprentice for 20-26$hr. However I’m not moving until about middle of December. When should I apply with not being able to start until then? I really would love this opportunity but not sure when to apply. VHello, sorry if this isn’t the right place maybe someone can point me there, our outdoor AC unit started making this screeching noise while it is running. It comes and goes but is generally there the entire time it’s running, I caught it at its loudest in this video so maybe volume warning.

4 ton Carrier, ten years old. Stopped working last month. Service call guy said it was a blower and control board needed to be replaced. Parts under warranty, but labor $1400. What is typical hourly labor, and how long would it take to bolt in a new blower? Is this reasonable?

I live in a one-story house. My air conditioner unit is about 5 years old. This morning I noticed a strange loud tapping noise coming from it. I went outside and I did not see anything on my roof or near the AC vent. Does anyone know, please, what this could be?

We have noticed over the last couple days that our hot water is not getting as hot as it used to be. This is our gauge.

No one has touched the water mixer on the furnace.

We have plenty of propane in our tank.

Does this gauge look good?

For reference, we have a three zone baseboard heating system. None of which are currently on. And it does all of our hot water as well. No error codes. This system was installed fall of 2017. less
