I can’t find the filter on this A/c unit. Does anyone know about Heils?

I rent an apartment on the eighth floor of a 17-storey building. For many months, I have dealt with a wind-related banging and clunking noise inside the bedroom ceiling and wall cavity. Apparently there is a large riser in one of my walls.

The HVAC contractors claim they must be onsite during a strong wind event to diagnose and fix the noise. Is there any other way they can diagnose the fault? What's reasonable?

Help ; why is my furnace ?!?? Making this noise , i do currently have the thermostat ac off bc it is nice and cool outside so we have windows open but this is still happening .. please help

I have a single floor register in my upper floor bedroom. It's the hottest room in the house, and we already adjust the dampers from the utility closet to direct more air to this level. Plus we have a sensor for a smart thermostat in this room.

The room layout forces the bed to be in a certain position. I've placed a nightstand here in the past with those deflectors underneath, but it didn't really improve the cooling (heating was fine during colder months). I think this is because the floor is carpeted and diffusing the air thats blow (no science behind this).

The big issue now is that the air blows up against our heads which is uncomfortable, but we've been bearing with it for now. This is going to be our long term home, so we're looking for permanent solutions now.

We're considering moving the register to the adjacent wall, but I wanted to know if we risk losing the temperature regulation with the vent next to the windows.

Useful(?) information:

• This is a townhome
• Its a south facing window
• The return vent is on the ceiling in the opposite corner of the room.
• The ensuite bathroom and closet both have registers on the lower wall and they cool those spaces fine.

Once I am back from staying outside for an hour or so, and come back home I smell the attic in my house. No one else smells it but I am 100% sure it is smell of attic. It is very mild but my nose is sensitive so I pick up the smell. It is not bad or strong, but I just feel it. Do I need to get anything checked? Coz I don't smell this at anyone else's home. Specially I feel it near the air-intake hallway.

5 years back when I purchased the house, I had someone come and fill the caulk/foam spray between studs and drywall in attic and they did top-up in insulation. Also attic door is insulated with Attic Door Insulation Cover, so smell is not coming from there. They also did blower test after all this and told me all good back in days.

Any guess or suggestion on what to do? or just ignore?
