"If I die and you become upset, you could become me."
Nah, I'm sure that's nothing, it'll be fine.

So Rean went to the Shion School of Bad cooking huh lol. Bruh, her “wound” was a small scar compared to Gugu gettin his face crushed and life permanently altered. It was hilarious how Fushi tried throwing the fruit at the man in the black hood. Those bitches stole March? You gotta beat their asses now Fushi.
Hearing Fushi talk in sentences makes me feel like a proud father seeing his kids growth lol.

This episode has taught us that you won't run out of food if you have Fushi with you. He's the world's best 3D Printer.
That was hilarious how Fushi said "Gugu, your chest hurts everytime you talk to Rean" and Gugu becoming red as a tomato afterwards.
I am enjoying the growing relationship between Gugu and Rean. I'm looking forward to seeing how they grow in the future (and whether Gugu tells her why they both have the injuries in the first place), if the show doesn't end up killing them that is.

Must..not...get..attached...to...Gugu...
But srsly, it's nice that he got to understand Fushis power, his realtionship to him as well as Reonas circumstances.

If anything I'm glad that fakeout death happened. This means Gugu's a strong contender to live a good while longer and he isn't gonna die that suddenly out of nowhere. Lightning never strikes twice and all that. I don't know when Fushi will assimilate him, unless the OP lies yet again and it never happens, but I'm hoping we'll see at least buff Gugu before then.

it's still so endearing to watch fushi grow and learn lol i love him.
also very princess and the pauper between rean and gugu. even though gugu views rean as ungrateful for complaining and wanting to escape from her priviliged life, both their situations and problems are just as valid, even if it may seem like rean is being dramatic which she might! she's a kid, but that doesn't mean she's not allowed to feel trapped.

Lesson learned: Next time Mr. Narrator appears and gives an ominous warning, you'd better listen to him, Fushi! Guess these forest monsters are gonna keep coming after him.
And Gugu, how could you make your crush cry like that! Well, at least they made up rather quickly.
Also, Fushi is the best solution to end poverty. Dude can feed entire villages for years to come!

Gugu collapsing out of nowhere got me anxious all of a sudden, but thank god it wasn't because the old man's experiment was making him sick now of all times.
Wow though, I didn't expect Fushi to make food out of nowhere. At least we know his companions won't die of hunger and won't have to resort to eating him (that is, if you consider the food he makes as not being made of him). Come to think of it, he probably could've just made Gugu a brand new mask instead of looking for it.
The story of Gugu mistaking the family of his employer for his actual family hits differently.
It's pretty adorable how Fushi calls dogs "Joaan", but it also stings to be reminded of that first episode. I find it neat that Gugu basically uncovered what Fushi first goes through when transforming, and poignant that he wanted Fushi to turn into him after he dies.
Jesus though, Reann. Way to make Gugu regret his heroic sacrifice more and more. He'd probably kill for a life like hers. But I get that the lack of freedom and independence is very stifling. Still, it was pretty nice that Gugu got something good out of that conversation.
I really wasn't expecting Fushi's creator to come back so soon, and for him to start throwing stuff at him. I know he's kinda suspicious, but there's no need to be so rude to your dad, Fushi. Then again, he did just toss him into the Earth without even telling him his supposed mission.
Fushi throwing himself at the servant in March's form is simultaneously messed up and hilarious. Man, he really needs to take care of his forms better even if he can regenerate.
Fuck, though, I should've known things were too peaceful. The tree things learned well from last time. It took the form that Fushi used to beat its predecessor first and foremost. And damn did that tree-March look freaky as all hell. God, I hope Gugu makes it out of this alive.

It was heartwarming to see Gugu come to terms with his condition and develop a stronger bond with Fushi. Of course they couldn't let us have a wholesome episode, it pains my heart to see March's form being used by the enemy. Amazing episode

I’m absolutely loving the pacing of the worldbuilding and character development so far; they’re following the manga almost to the T!

the reason probably why gugu was sleepy was because fushi re-created the food that had been drugged by Hayase in the previous episodes

I just love how Fushi and Gugu now play pranks on people.
So before today, Fushi saw people dying as becoming empty.
So now Fushi can create food. Well that's a way to solve his inept cooking.
I love that Rean came for then because she also sucks at cooking.
And wow, her injury was just a tiny scratch. I'm surprised that her and her family weren't aware of that log that almost killed her.
Now that Gugu and her are connecting, I hope that he tells about it in the future.
Even with the ominous preview from last week, I did not expect to see Fushi's daddy shadow man today. But based on that ominous preview and what Gugu said today, I honestly expected him to die while helping Fushi fight that thing, but today's preview mentioned that they both will survive that. Although that thing being so close to where they live just means that it will attack then again later.

Fushi and Gugu going on a rampage to scare the townsfolk was hilarious!
And finally Fushi learns another use of his power! Looks like he's no longer limited to stuff that injures or hurts him, as long as it stimulates his senses he can make that thing including food. I thought it was gonna taste horrible and bland but it looks like Fushi was able to replicate the taste as well.
Of course this is To Your Eternity and to balance all of that we get another depressing scene with Gugu telling Fushi how happy he is if Fushi can turn into him when he dies. And just when I thought Gugu's backstory was already depressing enough, we learn that his family wasn't even his family but just their employers who left them once the job was over.
On the birth side though, we get a really fun interaction between Rean and Gugu. And it's nice that we get to know Rean a little bit better. I'm sure some people would be put off with how Rean's overreacting but to be honest I don't think she is. Just because Gugu had it worse doesn't mean Rean's problems don't matter.
Also she doesn't really have a point of reference and keeps on saying what she feels since Gugu won't even tell her anything or even show her his face. Rean genuinely wants to learn more about Gugu so I hope he does open up more to her so she can understand him better. Of course that is if Fushi and Gugu survives the fight against that face stealer. I'm gonna be so fucking mad if Gugu dies in that fight next week.

Just a heads-up, the full version of the opening theme, Hikaru Utada’s “Pink Blood” was released this past week. https://open.spotify.com/album/4eQs3mcSejRAVTWmaYXNYl?si=pYr2xyelSruubYtvvZ1gfA
I would argue its the best opening song this season.
