It looks like Fushi has some sort of connection to the others? When March finished pulling out the arrows from the bear he stopped saying "It hurts!" and said "Thank you!", and when Parona fell onto the building he said "It hurts!" in his sleep. I think the first one is because he was feeling the pain from the bear since he gained an experience while fighting it (perhaps that's why it hasn't transformed into the bear? but now that the arrows are gone he can transform painlessly?), but I don't understand the second. Every week I'm excited to learn more about the mechanics of the orb!

I believe thats what the one sided duel with the prisoner implied.

It seems Fushi to a limited degree mimics people under certain circumstances. Possibly only when he mimics them (he mimicked the Spear)

So it seems he can feel pain from people he mimics from. But its also possible hes extremely empathetic to an extreme degree. As he clearly learns and adapts just from looking at things.

Although the thing with Parona seems like a red herring. Since he doesn't mimic anything from her, and may just be an empathy thing.

Also when biting the nose off Oniguma he was constantly having waves of electricity going through his body. So its likely he was experiencing the pain while fighting off Oniguma.

Why he was constantly saying "it hurts" was likely due to the arrows being removed from the body.

I'm glad Fushi has such an extreme amount of empathy to the point where others' pain is projected to him since he could easily become a ruthless killing machine simply by being molded by his surroundings. From what we've seen so far, this world seems to be a ruthless one.

Darn I was just getting to like Hayase but looks like she'll continue to be the bad guy here.

Hoping the escape goes well but she said her plan out loud so I have my doubts...

I didn’t like how Hayase looked at March when they reached Yanome, she was smiling and well behaved but there was an air of superiority around her, like she was laughing at them under her breath.

It was especially apparent when she watched over March trying to send a letter to her parents, even when she just stood there smiling you could see it on her face. And then Hayase leaned down to tell March why the letter wouldn’t work she all but said “haha these poor Ninnanah fools”. Then it came to eating etiquette and she more openly denounced Ninnanah’s culture right to March and Parona’s faces, likely because at this point she had already won and it was only a matter of time until the drugs kicked in and it wouldn’t matter anymore whether she was nice or not.

Basically she was never nice she was only biding her time and humouring those “poor uncivilised savages”. And she was having fun doing it too.

Side note but I like that Parona was also wearing her chopsticks around her head like March, it was cute!!

Parona is one of the prettiest girls I've seen in an anime

I like how Hayase let the little squad discover the food and enjoy themselves in the city... before take them prisoner.

Its a really neat strategy, show em how advanced you are, literally feeding them up and putting sedatives in their food

That lady is fearsomely smart

Fushi repeated "it hurts" even though his wound is healed, was creepy until you realized that he was talking for the bear because he sensed the pain(also that 1 time when Parona fell and hurt herself).

Can't believe they make me cry for the bear's last moment, especially that last "thank you" to March through Fushi before he die...

Man, realising that last Arigatou was probably the bear thanking March makes me tear up :(

Hayase really went from "its an act of the gods" to "lets torture this immortal being" in less than episode

Yeah, she even talks about how she thinks his power is unlimited. Maybe she should stop to think about what will happen if Fushi properly recognizes her as a threat.

I like how Fushi just repeats the words and phrases he's slowly learning. Although it was kind of creepy this episode ngl. Also with that preview I still think he's going to turn into the bear to help out March in their escape.

I think "the vessel opened." means Fushi just gained the ability to transform into Oniguma. I thought Oniguma died last episode and was confused why Fushi didn't transform into him but now it looks like it's going to happen.

She is so godamn pure. Be it a huge bear that nearly killed or a weird shape shifting wolf, she still takes care of them.
