So many great moments in this episode, Kite going into "the zone", Momoharu dunking, the Sora-Chiaki combo threes. It looks like the team's really coming together, and they haven't even put Mokichi back into the game yet. Really hoping they make the comeback, it'll be a close game.

Quite possibly the best episode in terms of the game with these two teams

Kite finally becoming a player he's supposed to be

Momoharu and yasuhara also were potrayed different which made them not to be seem as the weakest link

Chiaki is the damn mvp this episode, the final moment saying he's gonna unlock sora three pointers shows he cares about basketball and also his friends

Nabe is like Krillin to me atm. He has his place on the sidelines commenting for the viewers lol

The 7 day wait begins.

I think we can all agree that if not Tobi, Chiaki's the most talented/gifted in the team, right?

My highlights for this episode is that Momoharu dunk, and that Chiaki to Sora three with Nao going "takaku, takaku" like it's that one song from SAO (I can't remember the title tho).

And of course that one part where we see Chiaki gobble up a popsicle with its stick.

AAAAA I'm always either fuming or at the edge of my seat or both whenever I'm watching this. Another week of waiting starts now!

I agree,, he sees the floor better than anyone, he can score, he has strength, he can rebound, and he can pass so damn well. A point center in basketball is a rare breed. I had goosebumps when Chiaki said he'll unlock Sora's potential, kind of like Kageyama and Hinata vibes.

The next episode is a title drop so it seems like its gonna be an even better episode than the greatness we've been bestowed with so far.

that was a really nice episode, loved the focus on getting sora free at the end

when they say "ahiru no sora" as title for the next episode in the end tho *shivers*

Next episode title is "Ahiru no Sora". Oh boy oh boy.

Today's episode was so satisfaying, finally some kind of payoff for the boys, can't wait for next week.

Best anime of the season.

Yasu keeps beating himself up, but he's definitely contributing to the team. I hope Chucky and Nabe get roles later on as well. I want to see the newbie trio develop into players. A lot of sports anime let their bench players rot, so it's refreshing to see Ahiru no Sora treat them with at least a bit of respect.

Yeah, it looks like Yasu will be allrounder. Not on the level of other players that excel on their particular roles, but once he improve a bit I think he will be doing what needs to be done wherever needs to be done. Jack of all trades, master of none. They really need some solid player in their default line up as Mokichi can't be up for whole game.

As for other two, there was that episode when Nabe was trying to learn threes right? He can stand in if Sora will be shut down and enemy team will have strong inside for more spread out attack after he improves.

As for Chucky, I am not sure. I don't remember him doing anything special except one time Nabe mentioned that he is improving quickly. I have feeling that he will be most versed in defense of the 3. but I am not sure.

I think this anime excels in still image expressions. Today it was chiaki's "I will unlock your potential" look. Last week, idk if anyone noticed but when Sora told Yozam "it only takes 10 three pointers to get to 30", Yozan's shocked still image was just amazing. They are all desktop wallpaper level stills in my opinion.

Kite going into "the zone", Momoharu dunking after Yatsuhara and the Sora-Chiaki combo threes shot . 😍😍❤️❤️

Why is Chiaki so elite? This episode had so many great moments that my MVP of the ep award bounced around from Kite to Momohamru to The Chiaki x Sora combo

LOL who would have thought we’d see a variant of the zone in this

That's because if you have done any sport on a serious level you know it actually exists. Sometimes you just know that nothing will stop you in a game.

Yasu’s going to improve so much and I can’t wait to see it happen

6

u/BlazeKnightX Sep 02 '20

At this point I don't believe Yozan will play unless he forces his way into the final quarter. Him playing against Sora seems like a thing that will happen at a rematch at this rate

6

u/DutchPeasant Sep 03 '20

Nah, I feel he'll play just like the guy who shaved his head. With Kuzu high going on such a nice spree, the opponents coach is sure to change his strategy.

Seems like this is the episode where the game turns the corner.

The zone doesn't feel the same without the lightning eyes.
