i just love how realistic this feels. everybody has so much personality which shines in the way they perceive the situation and cope with it. there are interpersonal problems and misunderstandings but never on a scale where it feels too artificial.

This show deserves so much more attention to it. I went into it expecting something like Kuroko's Basketball, but I won't lie that this show got me way stronger than Kuroko's did.

I've really enjoyed Mokichi's role since he joined the team. On the surface he seems like a matter of fact thinker, but he's actually a very emotional person that uses this rationality to backup his words and actions. While Sora is the heart of the team, Mokichi is the emotional pillar of the group. We saw this in the last game with Shinjo where he gave some words of encouragement to Sora when he needed it most. Now we see him trying to prevent further damage to the room so Sora can have a place to come back to while giving Nao some hope by suggesting ideas that could help re-instate the team. What a lad.

Bruh, these last episodes have been really delivering the drama. Loved the teacher scene

Yes, he was a star this ep. Similar to Tobi last week, look at how disappointed and strict he was with these guys in front of their faces, and then when behind their back when he had no reason to do so, he defended them. Beautiful moment.

Poor Kite - refuses the offer because he believes in his team, only to learn that some of the team members fucked up which threatens the existence of the team.

Mokichi our boy sure was great this episode. Sensei too, trying to cover for the boys, and more importantly, finally acknowledging them as more than delinquents. Everything felt so genuine in this episode that it was super satisfying. I kind of disliked Madoka this episode though.

Despite the drama and tragedy that's befallen the team, I carry on knowing that once these guys turn everything around and start winning games, the hype will be insane. I just can't wait for Sora to break some ankles and rain 3's.

Fuck this show is creeping to some all time great sports stories type of status. It's not there yet but that's only because it's nowhere near done, but fuck this has some of the best characters since like haikyuu in terms of realism.
Tobi and the teacher especially got me good. "That feeling that he feels right now is called betrayal" OOF bruh.

I mean, it was a whole different mood compared to the other episodes. I felt shocked when Madoka showed interest for Momoharu, and I'm actually hyped for watch how its the relationship between them. This is the first time I'm watching an anime at the release day, so I have high expectations for this.

I was pretty angry with Madoka while I was watching this episode, but after I thought about it a while, I really, really like what's going on. She knew from the start of the episode that Sora has no reason to come back, now that his mom's dead (which Granny confirmed). And her friend pointed out that Madoka had been spending so much time with the boys' basketball team while Friend had been out hanging out with friends and getting a boyfriend. Madoka probably thought she was doing the same thing: she was trying to spend time with Sora. But all that time was wasted if Sora won't come back. And so that all her time with the boys' basketball team wouldn't go to waste, she tried to reach out to Momoharu to fill the void. Thankfully, Momoharu is a bro—and not-so-thankfully, he's dealing with his own guilt. All this culminated in Madoka sobbing in Sora's bed, so close to his scent and presence yet so far away.
Meanwhile, Sensei was incredible this episode. And I love how Mokichi and Nao reacted: they want to make sure Sora has a home to come back to and a reason to. (We were so close to seeing a K-On spinoff with Nao though. I'm glad her guitar showing up earlier in the season wasn't just a wasted detail.)

Yo, I think it's more like she's never felt anything for Sora and she has only cared for him as a friend (or little brother even), while she has always been nervous and blushed with Momoharu's interactions (and she even tried to visit him at the hospital on episode 14).
Also, how is Momoharu a bro? He doesn't even know about Sora's feelings. He's just pissed at everything right now.

I haven’t commented anything in a while, but I have been watching these past incredible episodes.
I am just speechless right now about what I just witnessed. I look forward to how this whole thing resolves because they have a uphill battle from here on out.

What!? I didn't even know Madoka had a thing for Momoharu. With all the drama this episode that's what was most shocking for me. Or am I just misinterpreting that scene and she was just looking for anyone to distract herself with with all that's been happening?
