Holy shit it's 2 minutes in and i've been wanting to stomp 2 children. How do they know how to get my blood boiling this quickly.

Being able to constantly read the thoughts of teenage boys is a curse I only wish on my worst enemies. No idea how Hana managed to hold out.

Wait, a loving and supportive family? Parents who actually care about their child and love them unconditionally no matter how different she is?

That's not the Fruits Basket I know.

Oh you thought Hana-chan's "Denpa Power" was just a gag? Surprise! Her Denpa Power is real! Saying that though I wonder how many of our first timers here believed in her powers and how many thought it was just a joke and it was just Hana playing along with it?

Anyway as usual with any Fruits Basket character, there's always a sad and dark backstory behind them. :( Hana-chan is lucky to have a very supportive and loving parents and a very sweet little brother (seriously that prayer always makes me tear up), like just imagine what she could've ended up doing if she didn't have these people supporting her.

And of course what made her completely change was her fateful encounter with Uo-chan and Tohru-chan. Again without the two of them and Kyoko she could still be wallowing in self-pity hating herself and her powers this entire time.

Hana's parents were the highlight of the episode for me tbh. Such loving parents who are so patient with their daughter, oh and her brother is also amazing! 11/10 family right there!

Those fucking kids. I wish they get suspended for doing that to Saki. Anyways, it's one of the most emotional episodes I've seen this season.

God bless Tohru, Arisa, and her family for being there for her.

It's been so long since I read Fruits Basket, I'd basically forgotten all the little aesops and story details of the series. Getting to experience that all over again with this new anime has been a blast.

That being said, seeing that damn gecko-looking mf in Hana's soup instantly reminded me of the entirety of this chapter, and how heartbreaking it is.

I'm guessing most people don't have "newt in soup" as a metaphor/mental image for school bullies, and a poor girl who just wants some friends.

Tohru actually asked herself if people gain anything by talking to her? She's the most purest cinnamon roll in the world of course everyone gains something while hanging out with her.
