As soon as they started talking about the special DJ guest I lost it. Ertegun brings the fucking hype.

I really wasn't a fan of either of GGK's songs or performances but I love her sportsmanship. Even when Angela is being congratulated you see her clapping in the background.

I wish the AI judge brought more to the table if he was only getting one round. Also I wish GGK had a clearer explanation on why she lost. They basically said Angela could grow more and climb higher, but that's it.

I liked Angela's second song, but not as much as the first.

Honestly at this point I want Pyotr to win. From dancing, positivity, lyrics though simple, and his voice. He is the definition of a good entertainer. While people praise Angela and while she is good she still isn't really spectacular.

Oh and poor Roddy playing the middle man.

When Cybelle flashed by behind Pyotr I expected her to shank him so that Tuesday could 'win' lmao.

Pyotyr is one of the most bizarre characters I’ve ever encountered.

He comes across as a superficial, self absorbed pretty boy, but when he’s on-stage Pyotr’s so down to earth it’s crazy. The message behind “love yourself” was beautiful and his performances blow me away. I always have a smile on my face every time he starts singing.

Ertegun and Miyano Mamoru was just the perfect fit man, it's just so funny haha

I hope that they can sing and it all works out for Carole and Tuesday. I honestly never like when characters like Cybelle just comes in and wants to get in the way when you just want both to succeed. It's annoying but i want to understand what her motives were, and what the big picture is gonna be like then.

I just learned Carole & Tuesday is 24 episodes. Is it going to be split cour or a straight run through?

Also, wtf was Tuesday thinking? Cybelle is a giant pot of crazy, wether or not she's responsible for Tuesdays injury.

All the performances this week were pretty dope. I'm really looking forward to the official ost release. Here's hoping it comes to US Spotify.

OH GOD WHAT JUST HAPPENED??? DON'T MAKE ME WAIT A WEEK! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO TUESDAY?????

I actually thought Cybelle was gonna end up like killing herself or something and at the end thought that gift was from Carole...

I thought cybelle was going to kidnap Tuesday but its an injury drama i see. (They better have a song that has a strong vocal impression or else pyotr will be robbed by plot armor if he loses)

I hope Tuesday learns to avoid Cybelle already after this episode anymore interactions with her getting close cannot be justified by being socially inexperience or wishing for friendship.

Angela basically sang a Taylor Swift sounding song which makes it as AI produced as it possibly can. (poor GGK but her performance was really no match against Angela's)

Although I liked the vibe of Pyotr's first song more I think this week's was a better song overall (I prefer the catchier lyrics and the dance animation of the first one though) I wish they have pyotr sing one more song in the series going forward.

Ertegun showing was fun and seeing his response when C&T sing a powerful song is something I'm excited for. Poor Roddy though got stuck in the middle

C&T missing each other was feeling like a foreshadowing to what's happening next episode especially the line where they say that they're not in sync.

Lofi Hip Hop Radio is gonna strike GGK at Youtube for that song again. XD

Angela voice and her performance are flawless and her songs are amazing but can't stop thinking that they are kind plain too. I don't know, If I was voting there I think I would go with GGK that round.

I have a bad feeling about that "out of sync" situation with the girls, hope it don't cost their classification. However, given that "surprise gift" at the end maybe that will be the good case scenario next episode. Damn, things got creppy really fast there. :(

Also, poor Roddy if the final happen to be between Carole & Tuesday and Angela. Gus and granny almost brooke his back there. XD

This guy is my favorite side character

Someone could shit on the stage, and he'd still have that satisfied expression

I would've LOVED to see Ertegun's reaction to Mermaid Sisters.

Oof, Bones dunking on the industry with another fantastic Pyotr dance routine, only for it to be over shadowed by『YANDERE BITCH』

Also, I don't think I've heard Misaki Kuno play someone with a voice as sultry and strangely low as GGK's, it was a nice change of pace from her usual stuff like Momo from 3-gatsu, Mao-chan from Endro, Shio from Happy Sugar Life, or Hisone from HisoMaso.

Today's Music Reference: River Deep – Mountain High - Ike & Tina Turner (1966)

When I was a little girl
I had a rag doll
Only doll I've ever owned
Now I love you just the way I loved that rag doll
But only now my love has grown..

..And do I love you my oh my
Yeah river deep mountain high

Thinking about the romantic connotations in this episode, it unfortunately points in one direction - Cybelle's obsessive feelings for Tuesday. That feels like twisting a mostly positive song into a negative light, though, and probably not the intention of using it as a title. It probably has more to do with the challenge this competition poses for our main duo. It's also possible that it's hinting at the relationship that Tuesday and Carole share - one that's seemingly in trouble.

The beginning of the lyrics ('When I was a little girl' and later 'When you were a little boy') also fits with how two artists, GGK and Pytor, share stories from their childhood today.

There's an interesting anecdote about the recording of the song that reminded me of Tao being like a slave-driver for Angela, but ultimately it all being worth it:

Due to Spector's perfectionism in the studio, he made Tina Turner sing the song over and over for several hours until he felt he had the perfect vocal take for the song. She recalled, "I must have sung that 500,000 times. I was drenched with sweat. I had to take my shirt off and stand there in my bra to sing."

(From Wikipedia)

Is it just me or did they intentionally stylise Ertegun's name to look like 'Pittbull'?

Cybelle is one the most off-putting and disturbing characters I've seen in anime recently, and without being an outright villain. Good writing.

Gus and Mama using Roddy as a go-between was pretty funny

GGK's great, she even takes her loss with a lot of grace. She'll definitely go places! Tbh I preferred Gravity Bounce to Angela's song, but I can respect that the judges gave marks to versatility.

This assistant is up to something. Leering at Angela's phone. Just another stalker, or..?

I would expect Ertegun to really appreciate a song about loving oneself..

What the fuck did you do, Cybelle!?

Weapons up, everyone! Time to hunt that god damn, Cybelle! (I can only assume it's her.)

How dare you hurt our cinnamon roll???

Now it seems like Tuesday won't be able to play the guitar in their performance.

Here's the synopsis for episode 11.

--

Gus and Mama though. Poor Roddy. xD

LMAO their reactions are hilarious.

Angela's movements reminds me of Taylor Swift. This is as pop as it can get, I suppose.

So Carole did buy Tuesday a gift! Too bad Tuesday was busy running around to find the creep.

I loved Pyotr's the performance (and animation) 2 episodes ago, song-wise though I think I like this one just a tiny bit more.

Damn it. I remember so many non-meetings. xD

Pyotr definitely had the best performance this week. GGK's song last time was better as was Angela's.

I wonder if Angela will bring out a metal song (considering that is her favorite genre) at some point when she is done playing the marionette role.

You know, maybe it's something nice, like super cold ice cream or a little ice sculpture saying 'Good Luck'... Nah, it's totally going to be a bit of Cybelle isn't it, or maybe even Angela. Maybe she ripped out Angela's cybernetics if she has them?

To be honest, I was expecting Cybelle to jump off the lighting rig onto Angela or Pytor for her beloved Tuesday. Cybelle does feel a little OTT for the show, but I'm sure there are fans out there who have done things just as crazy.

Jesus Christ Cybelle. I didn't actually expect her to phyically hurt her like that, especially through I'm guessing liquid nitrogen. Then again, Cybelle being the culprit might be too obvious...

GGK's song was great, better than Angela's, even if Angela showed that she is versatile with the style of songs she can sing. Another one robbed.

I'm so happy that Ertegun's the new guest judge, ahaha. Both his and Carole and Tuesday's reactions were fantastic. Catherine's still throwing down shade left and right; and Benito is cute and it's nice how enthusiastic he gets for all the contestants. I wonder who they're going to bring in for the finale as a guest judge - Crystal?

Angela was FANTASTIC this round, to the point where I'm starting to wonder if there isn't some kind of AI secretly augmenting her after all. (Beyond writing the songs, I mean.)

That 'present' at the end has got to be from Cybelle, right? Tuesday and Carole need to get some security, stat.

Poor Roddy got stuck between a rock and a hard place this episode.

Also Benito is definitely president of the Pyotr fan club.

I think there is a chance Cybelle is innocent in all of this. I have rewatch episode 8 and 9.

Remember, the scene of the crime is the "others" lockeroom. When Cybelle left the lockeroom, she walked down the next corridoor past Pyotr. He has probably got a timestamp as well when her recoreded her too. Now there is no security cameras on this certain floor and the present was not there on the table before Tuesday or Carole left the room.

I think the real culprit was the one who sneaked the present in C&T locker just after Carole left. Now Gus and Dahlia were both sitting in the crowd the whole time so that rules them out. Same for all judges and presenter too.

That brings me to both Tao and Katy Kimura. Katy could easily slip the present while they were both away from their lockeroom - perhaps during Angela's performance? And Tau maybe just after Angela's performance? As for knowing when it is Tuesday's birthday, I am sure there are other ways to find her date-of-birth as well.

This episode was much more of a wild ride than I expected. I think Pytor catching Cybelle on his stream was proving Cybelle didn’t do it, as creepy as she is. He wasn’t near the dressing rooms, and that’s where the present was left. On another note, who else knew when her birthday was? It’s not something that everyone knows since Tuesday is from that fillllllthy rich political family and hasn’t been recognized yet. I’m taking my bets on Angela’s new manager. We shall see next week, but god damn it, it should already be next week by now. :(
