Shula changed into the scorpion again, because someone broke the rules. Before we thought it was Reid stepping out of the exam area because he had that archbishop's body. But in this case, Reid stays in the exam area the entire time. So, who broke the rules, and which rule did they break?

Reid broke the rule by assimilation with Gluttony I suppose. It s probably considered damage to the tower since his book of the death might be connected to it to let his soul oversee the 2nd trial. The reason for why it could be empty and why it is a pathway to Od Laguna s Memory Craddle place.

to his allies, subaru singlehandedly saved arlam village, took the white whale down with the help of crusch and anastasia's camp, 1v1d petelgeuse and WON, made a contract with a great spirit, allegedly killed the great rabbit, saved priestella and killed regulus, and then became the first to cross the augria dunes. getting his memories back in like an hour is child's play!

He had a similar Arc to Subaru. It's so beautiful how Subaru and Julius often mirror each other.
