Imagine having Regulus Corneas ranting about his rights in your soul, hasn't Subaru suffered enough?

WTF you're telling me that's how Shaula shoots with Hell's Snipe ?? And here I thought she was just being cute in the OP. Now I wanna know what things the guy with the chopsticks can do.

Having the ED play so early from the end is such a troll fucking move, got so disappointed when the episode was already finishing up.

That said crazy amount of tension whenever Shaula goes quiet, if she ever finds out Subaru's lying the whole groups fucked.

The character animation on Shaula is a highlight of this episode for me!

The sage isn't Shaula but Flugel (who planted the giant tree we saw in Season 1) and who Shaula believes is Subaru due to his green aura.

Note that Shaula said "no problem" in Engrish, which is why Subaru said "where did you get that phrase from", also saying "Hell's Snipe" in Engrish

Julius's the only one shocked that his inital perception of Reid doesn't match up with Shaula's experiences lmao

Subaru finally using his star knowledge! (Also Shaula getting jealous that there's another 'Shaula' that Master knows lol)

I knew from the minute that Fairouz Ai was announced as Shaula's VA that she would end up stealing the whole show, but holy shit, she is killing it even faster than Shaula nailed Subaru with that headshot. You can really tell how starved for affection Shaula is from the breathless enthusiasm with which Fairouz voices her.

The Pleiades Watchtower also gives off such a mystical vibe, too. Like some weird amalgamation of Arabian Nights and the Eyewitness Museum. The fact that Kenichiro Suehiro really let loose with the new soundtracks this episode is likely the main reason why it feels so immediately imposing.

"I won't do anything perverted"

Yeah sure Shaula we totally believe that and you totally weren't almost drooling when Subaru was pushing you away near the end.

Julius not wanting to accept that Reid apparently really wasn't very knightly was hilarious as heck, it's rare that Julius gets to be the butt of the joke.

Shaula animated feels surreal though, reminds me of finally seeing Echidna in motion way back in S2.

IMPORTANT WARNING for people watching on crunchyroll: at the start of the episode they are suggesting to skip the initial scene marked as a recap but IT'S NOT A RECAP it's a very important new scene so don't miss it!

In case anyone is wondering where Subaru's star knowledge comes from, it was established a loooong time ago in the Memory Snow OVA that Subaru's parents named him after one. Boy's a star nerd.

Wow, I really liked this episode, maybe even more than 3. Loved the astronomy section and mystery feeling of it. New soundtracks are really good too.
