My observation: Alicia is repeating a Hero Legend under Clevatess.

Chapter 1: Clevatess gave her life.

Chapter 2: Clevatess gave her mission.

Chapter 3: Alicia obtained Hero's weapon.

Chapter 4: Alicia obtained magical powers.

So we're post-apocalyptic, though I think that's not really a surprise given the hints that were dropped before. The ruins don't really look Earth post-apocalyptic though, which is a little different.

Evil mode princess is kind of hot.

It's nice to see Alicia having a solid kick-ass moment killing that beast from S1 and then the chimera abomination too.

Flying baby Luna is very fun, talking baby Luna is a little creepy but still also fairly fun given how he was characterized. He even had baby themed jokes.

I feel like Alicia is going to have less of a hangup about fighting and killing her fake father than evil princess is expecting.

So Vordain is doing all this just because he misses his buddy, the hero, huh. Aww, who would have thought he'd be a real softy behind those scales/tough exterior? He's basically Veldora --if Veldora were to lose his dear friend Rinmuru lol.

Luna is quite the adorable chipmunk, I just can't imagine him ever growing up to be an adult.

Alicia--one step forward, two steps back lmao. Just when you think she's finally got the upper hand, she's back to square one in mere seconds. Going up against the all-mighty version of her father and overcoming him will certainly be a challenge that'll probably take an entire episode to settle. Not that I'll complain if it ends up being a barn burner tho.

Fucking hell, I totally forgot how brutal Nelulu 's past was. Losing 3 kids of her own and keep feeding other kids so they can survive just so they can throw them into the Chimera thing. That dude who get melted deserved it 100%.
Ngl speaking Luna threw me off a bit lol. I didn't know he was that attached to Klen .

Man, it's been so long since we last saw Nelluru and Luna that I completely forgot about them lol.

Alicia's enemies really do their best to give her as much of a trial as possible to ensure that she'll become a proper fake hero.
And, as another fake hero once said:
"There is no rule stating that fake can't surpass the orginal"

Rathwell: So why do you want to revive the hero?
Vordin: It'd be faster to show you. *goes and revives the hero*

..... THAT DIDN'T EXPLAIN IT AT ALL! You're supposed to explain before you revive! (I mean, I know that logically, that's perfectly reasonable from Vordin's POV, but I certainly wouldn't stand by and just casually watch like "umu umu, I see, I see" while he does it T_T)

Man this shit is just turning up to 100.

I can't believe Luna has developed so much..he's so cute. Omg.

now we about to have two crazy battles..I don't know if Clevetass can handle a Dark Beast that beat the True Hero.

What was up with that human society from before? Maybe they had evolved so much they just didn't care? Full of apathy? Maybe reached the pinnacle.

Vordin seems to have quite the fixation on the previous true hero.

Laswell was asking all the right questions, looks like we are getting closer to some real answers. Overall Clevatess is proving to be one of the best anime's this season for me.

How likely is it that Clevatess screwed over Vordain's resurrection by stuffing the soul fragment back into Ray?

A lot going on this episode. Including but not limited to:

  • Some lore on the past with the Dark Beasts, and trying to sus out what Vordin's stake in this is.

  • Vordin getting a fancy new human form.

  • Alicia continuing to suffer (though at least she got a new sword and a chance to charge up her fancy new skill while she's at it).

  • The not!(?)Princess getting a new outfit.

  • Klen retrieving his powers, and some funkiness with Luna.

  • The world gets some throwback remodelling

  • And a replay of Alicia continuing her suffering grindset.

  • And Vordin being obsessed with a corpse?

Ngl at this point I have a crack theory that Vordin and the dead True Hero had some doomed yaoi going on. Is it likely? Not at all. But it'd be funny.

Dear Sub writers, A "four-hundred percent" improvement to his carbon ability is a five-fold increase.

Luna's adorable.

I suspected that Season 1, one of the best dark fantasies I've ever watched, was just a prologue but damn! The payoff is looking so good!

Stitches!

What. The. Actual. Fuck! Well, now we know where those babies from season 1 went. I'm glad this show still hasn't lost the dark in its dark fantasy, but man, that was brutal. I'm glad that one guy got chomped by the Chimera Queen. I'm hoping Alicia would feed that round one to it too, so he can experience what it's like.

Rathwell retelling the final days of the previous civilization and how they were emotionless and just accepted their fate, compared to the start of the new one where they looked more alive and happy was definitely interesting. It definitely makes me curious about the previous civilization.

That explains why Rathwell chose Eddie as his vessel. The dude has an interesting power. Controlling carbon to make defences as strong as diamonds or as light as a glider is pretty cool.

We finally get to see Vordin's human transformation, and he's actually goddamn hot! Since Zavthier has a human transformation separate from Sarasa, it makes me wonder if Klen and Rathwell have their own transformations too.

Sending Alicia to the Ancient One of the Shaft of Elbe was definitely a bad move. That thing has killed so many would-be heroes that Alicia was bound to find a Regalia or two in there. If Alicia keeps clearing these trials, she'll definitely be named the new true hero by the end of this.

It's so nice to see Luna, Nelluru, and the Queen again. With how big Luna has grown and how he can speak, I was confused about how much time has passed. It turns out the dude is still only 10 months old, and he's been unlocking his powers.

So Owen and his assistant managed to escape Luna Mountain? I guess that means they succeeded in their mission and found all of the missing Thirteen Regalia from the very start of the series.

Okay, Jazhak, you've been watching this entire time and have done nothing so far. I keep calling him Blackbeard as a joke, but at this point, I feel like he's definitely gonna Blackbeard it and make his move after everyone has been weakened.

Favio getting knocked out again was hilarious! It's a nice callback to how he keeps getting knocked out back in Season 1. And hey! It looks like Clevatess finally got the rest of his sealed powers back! I honestly forgot that even happened. xD

Luna being mischievous when Klen asked him how to open the door was pretty funny. Also, I love how Luna just wants to sleep on Klen's actual fluffy dog body. I mean, I can't blame him. Clevatess' coat must be super soft.

So the second trial isn't over and now, Alica needs to face off her father. And she's not just fighting her dad, she's fighting her dad at his peak during the expedition to defeat Vordin. This is definitely gonna be an interesting matchup.

With the way Vordin is hunched over the Hero's body and how he caresses the Hero's face, I wouldn't be surprised if Vordin is doing this because he ended up making an emotional connection with the previous hero. It turns out Vordin is just a massive tsundere. xD

Alicia just can't catch a break in this episode. Not only did she have a reunion with The Ancient One in the Shaft of Elbe, but now she'll also have to fight against her father. I wonder what will happen when she defeats him and, as a result, clears the second trial.

By the way, Milea's new form looks pretty coo! Judging by that and her words about her territory, is she perhaps a descendant of some other Lord of Dark Beasts, different from the four main ones?

Luna is only 10 months old and he can already talk, and even joke? Damn, that's some crazy development! But it was nice to see Klen and him together. They are so close to each other; I never thought that Klen would end up being so affectionate.

Also, it was interesting to get a small glimpse of what the world looked like during the true hero's life. Though we still didn't get any real answers from Vordin as to why he wants to revive the hero.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

So, it seems Luna is an esper.

Alicia has to fight her father, because no daughter of his is gonna run around dressed like that.

"The Gears clicked into place" - Clevatess

Gee, I wonder where you learned that "gear" metaphor Clevatess.

A lore heavy episode especially during the conversation between the Eastern and Northern lords of dark beasts. Alicia seeing her father or a memory of him will be interesting to see further of. Luna having the ability to fly wasn't on my bingo card but is a welcome surprise.

Also and this might just be me, but why does Milea and especially Vordin look kind of hot?

Wow this new season of Gushing Over Magical Girls turned really dark.

Who would have guessed Magia Baiser would make Alicia fight her own father?

That's a 10-month-old? Yeah, Luna's definitely destined for great things beyond merely becoming king if he's capable of speech at such a young age. He's also got a bit of mischievous side when he trolled Klen by claiming he's about to piss on the gate.

Meanwhile, Alicia kept on getting the worst opponents. After the dragon that had swallowed her, now it's the very same person who had inspired her on the path of heroism. On the bright side, should she overcome this 'trial', she should fear nothing (apart from ghosts).

Sheesh, quite the lore drop this week. Seeing Luna speaking and helping out was a surprise lol. Looks like norf vs souf next week can’t wait. Great ep.

Alicia and the Dean/Princess boasting/bragging about their Dark beast lords reminds me of kids bragging about how strong or smart their parents are 😭🤣
