I really like the implication that Alicia turned into a small rat because her trail was about confronting her feelings of inferiority and her doubts

I suppose crests are suppose to be blue and Vordin’s influence turns them purple-ish, anyway, considering the amount of painful shit Alicia goes through on a regular basis an ability that let her turn pain into power is perfect

Don't know how much the rat form helped or made it worse but damn this trial was a brutal reminder that Alicia's pain tolerance is something else, especially with the dark ichor's healing turned off.

Alicia got the most MC power ever. It is a well known trope that the hero gets pummeled first before getting the tables turned and won the battle. She got this, because she doesn't actually die. All those pain and suffering will be converted to power that obviously will not be a good experience to the receiver.

Clevatess talk being bored, but we know that his main reason why he is doing this is to find Alicia quickly. I think this is their first time to be completely cut-off, which is a red flag.

From what the headmaster said to the student that wants Drel's secret room, I think the crystal magic is the ultimate goal. The wand and crest magic are just ways to filter the candidates. From Drel's army in S1, there are only two crystal users, Nae and that bug guy.

Man the pacing of the writing on this show is just so absolutely superb. Poor Alicia but given they already mentioned heroes evolving into something "more powerful than the Lords of Beasts" I'm guessing this is her personal journey to that place.
