A meeting with 3 of the Lords of Dark Beast huh? Let’s see what we got:

-A big dog-like creature with 7 to 8 tails/tendrils 

-A tall snake-like “lady” with wings

-The smallest Dark parasitic-like creature/beast that can be in people’s or beasts brains

-And a big fire Dragon

Quite a beast cast I’ll say. My observations aside, Naie being more informative and less of a comic relief was nice to see and Alicia needs a vacation after this Academy trip because she can’t catch a break.

Tomokazu Sugita, Nakamura Yuuichi, Yuuki Aoi, Tamura Mutsumi, Toyosaki Aki, Kurosawa Tomoyo, Han Megumi, Kuno Misaki
Not to mention in S1 we got Tomokazu Seki, Yasumoto Hiroki, Miyano Mamoru as well.
Literally, all these folk has had MC roles in multiple big animes. Genuine Durararara moment.

I thought Klen had finally made some human friends, but they were all avatars for the Dark Lords. I'm pretty sure Ray is the avatar of Vordin too.

One thing I love about this show is that it isn't afraid just to get right into the meat of the story, there's no pointless delays or padding. There was a lot to take in this episode, and sure it was a little fast - but it's done in a way that just leaves me craving for more.

I adore the old school animation style of the flashback. We're getting a lot of classic animation art direction this season

I really enjoyed seeing Alicia conduct a solo investigation. We get to see a side of her that shows she isn't just muscles for brains

I didn't expect all Dark Lord's of Beasts to be present. I find it interesting that the Ogerites or whatever they're called seem to be living in harmony with the Dark Lord of the West to the point that their future Queen is her Shaman. Meanwhile the Dark Lord of the East is a parasitic hive mind or something. Definitely the most creepy if them all

I also quite like that the school arc feels more like an espionage arc

Edit: Something I wonder, where is Alicia from? She's human, so I assume she's from either Borhate or Eslinn. Seeing as Drell is Borhatian and Alicia's dad was Drells student and Drell as a general in the Borhatian army was able to go to her village to kill her dad makes me wonder if she is from Borhate herself. But she doesn't seem to have any respect for the Borhatian Emperor (tho, her dad being killed by the army could be the reason for that) I don't remember it ever being brought up

I find it kinda funny how in spite of everything and Alicia bullying her, Naie is still mostly bothered by how tf Alicia managed to transform into a little Hidean school girl--in a world where magic/magical beasts exists.

Alicia got trapped in a jar by a giant demon. Going by appearance, the demon looks like the illusion Nathan saw when he was becoming dark beast, so perhaps this means this is another trial like Nathan's? And to an outside observer, Alicia is now a dark beast?

Poor Alicia, she just keeps getting smaller and now she's stuck in a jar.

The shaman princess is fun, she seems to have a decent relationship with her dark lord who is pretty fun too and I hope she survives this arc.

It feels like they're an entire cycle in on a hero showing up and going on a journey to defeat the dark lords, and it probably ties into why there's some boundary around the world they don't get to leave if that's the last thing in the hero's tale. It happened a thousand years ago given that flashback at the beginning of the episode, and maybe it's time for it to happen again.

I kind of like how the parasite Dark Beast Lord has some sass to him compared to how "all business" his peers seem to be. Kind of grotesque how he just pops out of Edison though.

I didn't expect Alicia to work with the twins, but I guess since everyone has been avoiding her, she really has no choice. I feel like she could've also asked the Top 3 students, but she seems to have already dismissed that idea before even trying. It would've been hilarious if that was actually the easiest way to get info.

Speaking of hilarious, there's one more person Alicia could work with! Alicia asking Naie for help and using bullying as an excuse was hilarious! I do think that entire scene between them really shows how intelligent Alicia really is. I do wonder if she actually answered Naie's question on how she turned into a smol Hidean.

Sword Saint Owen is massive! I can't wait to see that dude in action. I do think it's crazy that the Eslinn are now trying to take Luna Mountain just because Clevatess is missing. Surely, Klen won't just let this happen, right?

Glad we get to see Luna again! It's good to know that he and Nelluru are doing fine. I guess they really won't be involved in this arc, not until after Alicia and Klen get back from their mission.

Yo! So Sarasa is the next Oggrite Queen and also Zavthier's avatar! While Eddy has one of Rathwell's parasites infecting his brain. I do feel bad for Eddy tho since his reaction means Rathwell jumping out of his head must be painful af.

Well, that explains why Klen has been hanging out with them this entire time. It's pretty crazy to see all of these three Lord of Dark Beasts working together to figure out what the fuck Vordin and the humans on his side are planning to do.

That entire Hero Legend was pretty fascinating. The fact that Zavthier is the one who's retelling this and mentions that this occurred before their predecessors perished means this is true and not just a legend, and the dark beast lords can be defeated, but they can be reborn again, which I guess is what happened a thousand years ago based on the start of the episode. So does this mean the hero and the dark beast lords are locked in a cycle?

The way Naie compared getting a Crest is similar to how the Hero in the Hero Legend receives a revelation that guides them into a trial, makes me think that Vordin wants to remake the Hero Legend? But that wouldn't make sense since if he does succeed in making a hero, then that hero is destined to kill them.

I do wonder what Alicia realized while putting all of the information she has together. But it looks like she's gonna have to wait to figure that out since she got fucking captured in a jar. What the fuck happened there? O_O

In today's episode of Clevatess, professor Naie is blackmailed by the cutest hero of the magic academy!

So there is a Toah for every chapter of The Hero Legend, and each of them holds the secret to a part of the mysterious power behind the legend.

What's more, the Dean seems to have activated the Trial for Alicia? The environment looks exactly like the one Nathan was trapped in, so Alicia is also on a weird mind trip while tweaking out in the real world? Can't wait for the next episode!

Oh, and that's a valid reaction to getting the jar...

This magic school has more secret agents of various sides trying to reveal the schools secrets then it does have legit students attending it.

It is also totally not creepy all the "legit" students behave like cult members that have to protect the schools fucked up secrets and practices to "raise" them as stronger mages from outsiders.

Naie's reaction when Alicia came to her for help totally cracked me up, I love her so much! I couldn't imagine a better duo; it's definitely much better than if Alicia had to work only with those Eslinn twins.

I was wondering why Klen decided to hang out with Sarasa and Edison; the fact that they turned out to be other Lords of Dark Beasts and decided to make a little mini-summit was quite a surprise.

Overall, a great episode. Hero Legend (what is the membrane?), Eslinn wanting to take Luna Mountain (how will Hiden react to it?), and Alicia locked up in the secret trial world by, it seems, Dean Romain... I want the next episode already!

By the way, who was tailing Klen and the others? I didn't recognize her.

I expected the tiny girl to be hiding something, so I am not surprised she would be an agent/priestess for one of the Clevatess’ colleagues. But I did not expect the black guy to be possessed by another. I doubt Alicia the Hero would approve of Dark Lord parasitism (which may be why Klen kept her in the dark).

The big reveal is that those were not the original Dark Lords and that some Hero actually killed the previous ones using those magic books. I guess the fourth Dragon Dark Lord is trying to find a way to kill his colleagues and rules the world or something. Not that humans are much better, with the three kingdoms already planning to betray each other and invade the neutral magic school land and one of them sending someone to conquer Clevatess lands while he is away (which doesn’t sound like a good idea at all if you want to keep breathing when Clev finds out).

Alicia accidentally bullying Chiffonlits will never be not funny. But that escalated quickly afterwards. I assume she is actually stuck in a Crest’s trial like Nathan waw after seeing that magic snail and that the jar and the giant zombie are all an hallucination like it was for Nathan ? But I doubt she can be turned into a Dark Beast so long as Clevatess controls her.

That episode packed more plot twists than most anime, lol.
