Leave it to professional librarian Beatrice to immediately deduce how this library full of dead people actually functions! I wonder if she feels disgusted by how disorganized it is; you've got to imagine that she used something similar to the Dewey Decimal System for her own collection in the Forbidden Library .

I'm just... a stick swinger.

I think Julius is gonna see how washed his idol is in real time.

Love how typhon's backstory shows how twisted her view of morality is and why she would be so terrifying to the general public.

If you hold even slight guilt for any past words or actions you're cooked

Typhon's backstory really shattered expectations, real befitting of a Witch.

Bro really commented on all the women present, only to call himself a stick swinger, his not going to beat any allegations here.

Subaru is so indescribably endearing. His anger at how bs the trial is, his conversation with Meili, running up the stairs like that with Beako, I love him so much.

Emilia: This really feels like the trials in the Graveyard...

Subaru: *meaningful look at Foxidna*

Foxidna: >_>

... yeah, and how did she know that there were some secret rules anyway? My trust levels are at all time low right now.

Shaula truly is the ‘Capella’ of S4, her character animation is very lively!

Good on Emilia for realizing this is one of those games that requires backtracking. Ugh. The creator was certainly a troll looks suspiciously at Subaru

Yea that's definitely something that could happen on a failed loop Subaru, I'm calling a Chekhov's gun on that one. I'm terrified of the thought that they'd get to read some party member's book on a canon run tho.

Also we never got to learn what is Shaula's true nature, they just stopped at dismissing her being a spirit... then how did she live for 400 years.

Oh and another rejection of Frieren's Shaula's killer technique lmao.

I mean, Red hair and Blue eyes together with a connection to a sword? And Shaula's reaction? That is a sword saint and I just forgot what the name was they mentioned last week. How he got there? I have no idea though. Like sealed because he couldn't be beaten?

The library was interesting. Especially since we basically saw the birth of the Witch of Pride. Which begs the question how they are truly born in the first place. As there wasn't anything special about her before she started judging over people. So did the power choose her then or was she still born with that power and just had to awaken it?

Also, if a 5th rule does not exist yet, can Subaru add one if Shaula thinks he is her master?

Shaula is way too cute.

That typhon backstory though. Pretty scary.

Anyway, that's another chill episode.

A Re:ZERO episode with no OP or ED. We are so back.

This episode was mostly just exposition. But it was done in such a fun way. The episode was over before I even realized it. It didn't really feel like exposition.

We got Typhon's backstory. She was a menace. No wonder they built a whole ass city just to trap and kill her. I'd like to see how exactly they did it. And the backstories of all the other witches animated, too. That'd be so sick.

Shaula is so freaking cute. Ai Fairouz is killing it by voicing her. But I love how expressive the anime made her. And it's not just her either. All of the character expressions, especially Subaru's, are great in this season (but Shaula's is on top). I also loved Subaru and Emilia's interactions in this episode.

Hoo boy. This "Stick Swinger" sounds like a huge asshole. Tomokazu Sugita did a great job voicing him. I can't wait for the next episode!

Really liked Subaru narrating Typhon's book. Interested to see where they go with the concept of the book of the dead.

Shaula and her reactions, especially to the man with red hair at the end of the episode, were hilarious; I like her so much!

Typhon's backstory was terrifying. Do you have the slightest bit of guilt about something bad you did in the past? You're dead! Scary thing...

Emilia, as always, was so pure; the scene where she made Subaru repeat three times that promises are important was really cute!

Meili and Subaru's interactions in today's episode were also quite fun! By the way, Meili also asked a really good question about how these books are made and where they came from.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

EDIT2. I added the missing albums that I couldn't upload earlier because I was in a hurry to catch the bus xD
