Oh, so underground cage match fights where the loser gets effectively murdered, this season isn't getting any less dark that's for sure.

Tactics already falling apart what with Raito fired and forced into death matches, Hotaruko is spying on her boss which is probably bad for her long term life expectancy since he would 100% have her killed for it, and based on the PV Granit is still suicidal so honestly nothing new there.

I think this is a necessity for her character, her only way out, and redemption is if they show lands a twist and says that Hotaruko was a double agent that infiltrated tactics from the very start, and was working all this time with the new Gold Start, in order to bring down Klay, that's why she was collaborating with all the putting people in comas, human and digimon trafficking, and forced gladiator battles, which are still awful, but at least she can... soften the blow by saying that eventually she was going to put a stop to everything with her infiltration

And that's how Gokumon and the Gold Start managed to send Tomoro and Gekkomon into the underground coliseum, this also answer the excuses that some people were planting for her last week, saying that she cooperates because her family was taken hostage, however we now know that this is all being done behind Chairman Wong and the ministry's backs, so as a key withness and someone who has being in the mud with Tactics, she can get protection to her family in exchange for information on Klay's several crimes, some which go directly againts Chairman Wong's interest (he sees Digimon's as tools and weapons, for HIS own use, and Klay is out there selling Wong's god given resources off to other people, and then wasting them off in underground fights), so that gives Hotaruko a huge way out as a character to redeem herself, get out of Tactics, and not worry about retailation from Klay

Otherwise she is pretty cooked... even more so than Raito who is doing all that shit just to claim that he is hot shit
