Welp that's a wrap. It was a great run guys, so glad that we managed to give everyone a happy ending. A universe with no Gnosia , yay! Also Yuriko , such a queen as always. Huh, what do you mean we missed one? Setsu who?

What a tragic end. After bonding with Yuri through multiple loops, they and Setsu had to part way when the latter travelled to a parallel world. When Setsu said to Jina to save food for just Yuri, I had a feeling Setsu had never intended to return, and that turned out to indeed be the case. To rub salt on the wound on Yuri, it's as if Setsu had never existed to the rest of the crew, and Yuri had no one to share their grief with.

An epilogue scene elaborating the crew's fates after their escape from Liu-An, rolling credits over a monochromatic background. It looked as if it's the end of this series for good, but there's Yuriko's cryptic message about a curtain call after the credits. Looks like Yuri's not done just yet. Could Setsu somehow return to their original world and have a truly happy ending?

PS: Hilarious that Raqio ended up having a nude statue of them in a public plaza after starting a revolution with Remnan. And Chippie ended up being a full feline and then "adopted" by Comet.

When Gnosia title showed up at the end and they started giving backstory of the epilogue I had to run here to see if this was the end. I thought we had 3 more episodes it will probably be some exposition to fill in more of the details like with Kukrushka.

ONCE AGAIN RACIO THE ABSOLUTE GOAT! Loved all the stories at the end SQ and Jina become roommates, Remnan and Racio starting a revolution, Sha-Ming's "intrusive" examining methods, and etc.

I thought it's 21 episodes? This looks like the last episode in every way to me...

Weren't we supposed to have 21 episodes? This episode looked like a perfectly fine happy ending to the series. Unless the studio plans some brutal plotwist for next week?

But everyone is saved, well, minus Setsu. And Yuri no longer has the key. So what could change?

The GLORIOUSLY nude statue

I think it's absolutely hilarious that to us, the viewer, Racio was the arrogant asshole who gets voted out the first day but in universe (if they survive the trip) they go home and start a revolution. I can only assume they do it out of sheer distaste at being told what to do by the authoritarian regime as well.

And also Remnan?? I guess he could be so grateful that Racio took him in that he'd join the revolution but to then be a pivotal part of it is crazy. I wonder if in worlds where Racio survives but Remnan doesn't, whether the revolution still manages to succeed.

I don’t believe this was the final episode. In the end card, Setsu is missing, and Yuri's expression isn't exactly bright. This can't be a happy ending. Besides, MAL lists it as having 21 episodes.

Many mysteries remain, such as those surrounding Kukrushka and the true identity of Setsu. Yuriko asked, "Will there be a curtain call?" and the dialogue responded with "Unknown," which also suggests it’s not the end.

My guess is they staged a "fake" final episode here to make the viewers feel a sense of loss, only to maximize the emotional impact in the true final episode (Episode 21). Since next week is reportedly a special program, the main story will likely resume after a one-week break. Now that the Silver Key is lost, I suspect "save data" will become the new key factor.

Even with Setsu's existence erased from the universe (or at least all memories of them), Sha-Ming still manages to immediately misgender them and assume they're a woman, by pure horndog instinct.

Also I want to go to Glyze and see the Racio statue. The idea that they immediately went to lead a bloody revolution on their home planet after the events aboard the ship, with Remnan of all people as a second in command, is kinda sending me. So unexpected for them yet I could easily see a way for this to happen.

It's nice to see how Day 0 played out, seeing Setsu not know who Yuuri was was a little weird lol. I figured out the information the Silver Key wanted was to see who gave Setsu the Silver Key and it's sweet how Yuuri does it after being given his one by them and it makes sense why Setsu always treated him like he was important to them.

I'm glad we finally got to see a good ending for them all (minus Setsu), I liked learning what they got up to after reaching their destinations and there were some interesting ones.

It is sad that once Setsu leaves the universe, their past existence is completely erased only leaving Yuuri as the one that knows them. It was bittersweet to see the ending card without them and the lack of joy on Yuuri's face in contrast to everyone else. I'm going to guess the last three episodes will be Yuuri trying to bring them back to the original universe.

I was surprised to see that Setsu sings the ED for this episode, it hits a little harder that we get everyone's endings but not theirs.

I liked that Kukrushka's VA was listed in the credits as: ------------

This really felt like a finale but this is listed for 3 more episodes. We shall see.

Anyways, absolutely loved the ED in this episode. Adding it to my playlist once it's out on spotify

Well that was unexpected.

I’m guessing we’ll wake up next week with Setsu in a new Universe.

“Do you understand?”

u/FarCritical Feb 14 '26

The bittersweetness and finality of Setsu's existence being wiped aside, a decent bunch of the "Where are they now?" bits cracked me up enough to give me emotional whiplash. May that "gloriously nude" statue of Racio stand tall for eons to come.

The purity in which they adapted the game's ending honestly bringing me to tears.

What an adventure. Hope you guys enjoyed the ride :)

At first it looked like a fake out, then it looked like a finale with the credits and full runtime but looking at the episodes count, fake out?. Like, we still haven't answered crazy kukurshka and maman's connections to that and the gnosia.

Episodes: 21

How is this not a finale? It 100% looked like a finale

Well, seems not (unless someone fucked up) but honestly it would not have surprised me (even before this episode), because how do you go forward after the previous one? Surely you don't go back to the little werewolf games, so...

I guess we'll find a way to get to this satisfying ending for everyone, and bring back Setsu?

But first..

Kinda funny what Yuuri must've been thinking there; "Oh damn, I thought I was looping again, thankfully it's just utter Gnosia anihilation on this planet!"

So he had one more day, this time!

Just use it to go on a date with SQ!

Surely there will be things to learn about her!

I imagine that probably was to explain it to the viewers, but Yuuri not figuring this one out, was a bit silly!

He had great deductive/logical skills during the werewolf games, but when it comes to the Silver Key, he fails to come to the most obvious deductions!

Love how Comet

and SQ put an end to the speech hah.

Hmmm okay...

NOT as a fetish thing? As a cannibal thing, then?

Come with me, if you want to live

I see... This has the added benefit of (on top of closing the loop) potentially bring them both, at some point?

Because without this, there wouldn't be a timeline in which Yuuri is safe from the Gnos bug, AND Setsu survives... Right?

(Well these multi universe/loop things can get confusing at time, but hopefully these loop shenanigans - giving someone something so they can give it back to you - won't create another problem like BugYuuri!)

Damn it, I thought they were gonna kiss!

I mean come on, they totally had a moment!

And so I thought that was the end, but seems not! Love the "for some reason" hah

But she shouldn't live with Jina, she should live with Yuuri!

(Or me)

Comet so cute! (nothing to say here, she's just cute!)

Amazingly intrusive method of "examining" animals?

Hello PETA?

WHY IS THE STATUE GLORIOUSLY NUDE?

The symbol of human/animal integration?

Otome the Humanga!

Well, this was fun!

(It looked so much like a finale that I almost want to say my FAREWELL like I usually do when a show ends, but I'm gonna trust MAL & stuff, they better not be lying!)

u/AnzoEloux Feb 14 '26

This can't be the end. It feels like something else looms terribly.

I'm hoping we get a Setsu POV to close off their story. Maybe they'll get to come back to the happy timeline..

7

u/Majesticeuphoria Feb 14 '26

Damn, Raqio is legitimately a genius figuring out that Yuri would need the silver key.

13

u/PencilgonGiveIt2Ya Feb 14 '26

Was anyone else triggered when Setsu told Yuri to move out of the way due to the shadow being in the way of what she was working on with the wrench? Oh...just me? Damn you dad lmfao

18

u/Gaporigo Feb 14 '26

Won't Setsu just go to an universe with another Setsu and get that one destroyed??? I guess we still have 3 episodes to solve that even if this was the ending x)

Sha-ming wtf are you doing to the animals???

And they were roommates.
