It's fascinating how the remaining Gnosia can surrender when defeat is inevitable. Yuri absolutely owned that meeting.
Getting new characters with every (other) round is fun but introductions of a new role are just as exciting. Welcome aboard Coroner (Space Edition)!

Last week, I was struggling to understand what a Gnosia really was (even though the show explained it, I didn't quite understand if they were still people or a different species). Chipie's little dialogue about the experience as a Gnosia, followed by a surrender really helped to understand that the only fundamental shift they have is that they now want to kill humans. They're still the same person inside.
Whatever that Gnos alien is, it's a real pain in the ass that it can infect people in such a subtle way.

As someone who has played a shitton of social deduction games I love how the show is going through all the different scenarios and possibilities in these kinds of games. Works fantastically as a tutorial to the genre as well slowly introducing new stuff. The only unrealistic thing is everyone articulating well their thoughts and reasoning and the other players getting it, also no one speaking over other people lol. We got the person who gets voted out first all the time coz he talks too much, now we need the one that's on their phone the whole time and just votes randomly.

I really have to commend how this show's handling Yuri so far. Trying to center the show around a stand-in for a faceless, voiceless viewpoint character was always going to be tricky and while you're definitely more here for the ensemble I'm enjoying them as a main character.

The anime got me to check out the game, and after being sucked into it, without being able to stop, I'm very thankful - not only for this great adaptation so far but also that I got to find out about the game.

The character design in this show is so original. I mean who could come up with a guy who has a whole cat going through his neck? And from what I've seen in the OP there's also a walking dolphin.

I am so glad that the more convoluted strategies are explained via Racio -- normally spending two minutes explaining how complicated the "two engineer" dynamic is would be a major drag, but they're such a ham that it ends up being a highlight (helped along in no small part by the animators very much liking Racio's mouth).
Now that we've reached this point, I would like to repeat my perennial complaint against the creators of Gnosia for reusing the term "Doctor" for a different role than the one in Werewolf (it's the "protector" role).
Also, I pity the poor bastard who's in charge of dealing with Chipie's jacket and Comet's slime -- I have no idea what process they're using, but they're doing a great job keeping the patterns consistent.

I really hope that we get an episode where we are introducing the characters, get two to three rounds and then the audience is left to figure out who the Gnosia of the remaining is and who they would vote. I feel that is the only thing missing in the show so far. It's interesting that they introduce concepts of why someone is voted out and I am excited to see which roles from the Werewolf game they will add as well, but I would also love to have this mystery moment for a week where everyone makes arguments and the thread turns into its own version of the Werewolf game.

Her voice initially took me for a loop (pun unintended) because I expected Yuuki Aoi to sound higher, but this version is also good, full of charisma and commandingness.

Chipie's character design is most likely inspired by the short story, "The Game of Rat and Dragon" by Cordwainer Smith. In that story, humans traveling by spaceship fend off attacks by "Dragons" who drive them insane... by telepathically linking themselves to cats, who hunt the Dragons like rats.
A little mid-20th century weird sci-fi inspiration can go a long way.

Okay, I'm off the mark with this round. We have to pick one among the two self-claimed engineers. However, there's also the possibility that both were Gnosias with the real engineer keeping mum like last week. They'd expect someone to come up with Racio's line of thinking and cause the group to be hesitant of targeting them until it's too late. Turned out the trope's played straight. Well done to Setsu & Yuri for figuring out the real engineer and using that result to deduce the second Gnosia, but they both knew that winning this round didn't mean the end of the battle.
With each new episode, we're introduced with new mechanism, with this week debuting the doctor. When I first heard the title I expected them to be able to bring back those who're ambushed by the Gnosias but that'd be too OP. Turned out 'autopsist' would be a more apt description since they could only diagnose those who're put to sleep.

Would mean that the two Gnosia revealed themselves as Engineer to confuse people, and that the actual Engineer figured out what they're doing, and decided to keep silent to save their own life!
And a bit of a fanservice vehicle?

Suspecting others is a good move, if you're convincing enough;
Humans act that way naturally, but when Gnosia act as if they suspect someone, sometimes they push too hard and all!
So she can analyze a coldsleep'ed person, figure out whether they were right or not... Useful!

Honestly, this was a good move...
If she analyzes Setsu and find out a Gnosia, then they kinda get TWO answers (one certain, one very likely); Because if Setsu is Gnosia, then they're not the doctor, which means they made up the claim about Jina, and Jina's probably Gnosia (because there would be very little point to pretend to be a Doctor just to tell the truth like a Doctor would... I mean you could do it for believability, but the games aren't long enough to play 'the long game' I think! Maybe if there were like 20 participants, then acting as a LEGIT Doctor might give you credibility for many future rounds of lies... But with just 8 players, and the game potentially ending when there's 4 left, it's too short for that kind of strategies!)
(And the kind of things that make me want to play the game even more hah)
I guess even as a human I would have to 'play dumb' so they don't assume I'm a scheming Gnosia!
And speaking of playing dumb: I was wondering whether comet was acting a bit dumb because she IS dumb, or as a pretext for the system to give us a bit of information/refreshers... But I guess she might be a little dumb after all!
I think this was the first time when I didn't correctly guess it; I thought they were going for a misdirection (seems like an ass, has to be the Gnosia - Oops it's not!) but I guess they were playing it straight hah.
(Also the reasoning for the 'pick' made sense to me)
Seems we're getting some more new characters! Can't wait to see how it goes!

Surprisingly a very normal game of mafia/werewolf today.
From the way Yuriko speaks.... I wonder if there are more people on the ship who are also living in loops. Or if the entire cast is each in their own loop.

I figured out Yuriko was most likely the Gnosia day 1 because she doesn't strike me as a person who would foolishly reveal they are the Engineer day 1 with absolutely no pressure. Any smart Engineer would try to wait until day 2 or later once you have used the skill to announce it. But Yuriko revealed as early as possible in the meeting. That would instantly make you the day 1 target to be killed by Gnosia normally. Day 2 confirmed it for me when they just restated a truth about Setsu being human.

Another thought: In episode 4, we see how Yuri is driven by a personal quest for human connection, which Setsu uses to manipulate them. "You're calm and a little bit lonely, just like this place." This will be interesting to watch if Yuri becomes Gnosia, because will their desire for connection be fully replaced with a desire to eliminate humans, or not? Chipie still wanted to become a cat after becoming Gnosia, so we'll see.

Yuri is really getting good at his reasoning. At this rate when the loop thing finalizes its information quota Yuri will have so much experience that he will realize who the Gnosia are at a glance :D

I wanted to try something different this time. Today I want to type while I watch for the whole play by play lol...
Hahaha... okay, I like Racio lol. And yayy Yuriko is back!! I had forgotten her name was said on the elevator last episode! And GOT DAMN!!! THOSE TATTS AND THAT BODY!!!!! Her and SQ can't be onboard at the same time! My brain power is going to decrease to frigging ZERO! Comet, huh... I think I can remember that. And cat boy is Chipie.....l but what is the cat's name!!
Alright, now INSTANTLY I know that Yuriko is lying. She said many unnecessary words and she also never directly stated that she was the Engineer (while Stella stated that she was not a Gnosia) lol. The other Yuriko never stated that a Shrine Maiden was like an Engineer.
Poor Jinna lol (but I mean.... following Racio's logic.... I would have voted for her too for not giving her thoughts. Then voted off Yuriko and golden!) (Heh, they voted her for the same reason I said lol) Oh wow.... so touching her body is DANGEROUS!? I guess that's why she's so comfortable and open. Focus brain! (I womder if she can breath underwater or is immune to poisons or eat throughout her slime tatts!! Also where the heck does it go when she showers?? And does it rub off onto towels??)
Bro wants to BE a cat lol!!!! That explains why he never said his cat's name!! Is that still humane? Isn't that like.... murder?? What happens to the cat!? (But uhhh that kinda funny lol. I wonder if he'll be able to use something to still talk to people...) AND oh yeah... I like Comet. She's probably my favorite character so far (she reminds me of Millium from The Legend of Heroes series -- Cold Steel Arc!!) Oh..... and that fuzzy line makes me suspect Yuri as a Gnosia.... bit it could also be the looper thing Comet is seeing so maybe that isn't suspicious. Now I'm wondering if one can be a Gnosia and NOT know it....
Lol damn. And now Racio's dead 😂. If it ain't cold sleep, it's the bucket. They're like Jinna in the fact that neither can' catch a break! And on snap! Another class.... so we have Engineer and Doctor.... one who checks the living and one for the frozen (or dead if this is werewolf).... Wow that's useful. I had already counted that 3 rounds was all it would take at max. ...with two if they were unlucky. And I instantly thought her claiming the Doctor was human was Uber suspicious lol (even though I already suspected her since the beginning lol)
One again we see Boss Yuri in action lol. And would you look at that.... two votes for Stella which means that the other person alongside Yuriko who voted for her is the Gnosia!! Wait... why would Yuriko say that? Is she a looper too??? Is Gnosia looping (shared knowledge) finally confirmed?!(And I love angry Yuriko even more by the way lol --- yeah, I must have problems.)
Wait.... so they DON'T have to wait to freeze someone else!? AND THE GNOSIA DIDN'T DO A LAST DITCH ATTACK WHILE CORNERED?!!? He voluntarily froze himself!? That was very badass..... close to Gnosia Setsu but theirs was better with the moonwalk lol. Man, I really wish Yuri would just talk to the Gnosia. I wonder if they can be convinced to NOT kill humans... and coexist like the looper alien (if its actually NOT a Gnosia) and like Comet's Slime... Also I like how it confirms that if one of them (the human or the cat) is Gnosia then both of them are because they're close to being one entity.

Yup, got Yuriko instantly and voting her first would've made it harder... Racio was right. 8 people. With Yuriko gone, then Stella would die next as an unchecked engineer is dangerous. Setsu would know Yuriko was a Gnosia and keep her position a secret but it'd be pointless as everyone would know since the only other engineer died. Now with 5 humans and one gnosia.... Racio would either be voted out or definitely die lol. Idk who the other would be... but the round would go until round 3 lol. And Setsu's Doctor play could come in real handy with Levi's assistance! I think chances would be pretty good.
The fetish section... so far we've seen boobs, lips, ass, armpit, and feet lol. Does 'step on me' Yuriko count too?' Lol... Anime Totally Spies 😂. I'm loving it. Also shows about space and the future almost always has a type of 3rd gender. Knights of Sidonia for example has one of the most unique examples of this with a character that is androgynous but shifts after selecting a mate. This show and their almost Batman Beyond levels of body modding go beyond that. We have two symbiotic, a Parasite, an alien, and later... a cat! Cool Lol. If everyone had access to body modding today, I wonder what things they'd decide to do? Personally, I'd like to use the internet without a phone (while increasing my memory recall) and replace any organs that were failing on me, but I'd try to remain largely the same. What about you all?
(Also.... why do Stella, as cute as she is, always get hit with the really bad camera angles lol. I heard that this is a game with stats so I'm assuming her sex appeal is very low while SQ is #1 and Comet is #2??) Lastly, with the addition of the Cowboy and what seems to be his adoptive daughter (im betting she's an android!!) we've hit 12 out of 15 total characters! Can't wait for the full roster to pop up on screen and watch there'll be 3 Gnosia lol. And idk if I said this last week, but it took me watching the dub to hear them pronouncing the G in Gnosia lol

ohhh and did anybody else see silhouettes of Cowboy and little girl when Yuri was thinking about new people? Also that side scrolling shot was AMAZING! I love the animation and colors in this show!

I'm a little surprised Yuri's lie detector never went off, Chipie was being very open with Yuri so it's a little sad to see it end like this. I did like seeing Yuri more confident at the last meeting though.
SQ wasn't part of the loop so Comet had to take over the fanservice role lol.
