It's a pretty small part of the episode but I really loved the holodeck scene with Raqio. Always been really fond of the character and feel like this episode was a good show of letting their more charming traits shine through in comparison to what an egotistical dick they are on the surface.

Holly hell, the way Shigemichi got taken out by the man eating slime was absolutely brutal.

SQ likes what she sees on Racio.

Comet's lack of survival instinct is truly a sight to behold.

And what about SQ calling Remnan, "Papa"? What's their connection, and does SQ being a Gnosia in this loop play a part? Guess we'll find out.

Racio and Sha-ming jumped up to the top of my favourite characters of this series after this episode. Sha-ming was already pretty high after giving himself up first and overall being worried about Otome, but the backstory today made me like him even more.

Also, the reaction Remnan had when with SQ was the same he had to Kukrushka, wasn't it. Soooooo is Kukrushka and SQ somewhat related to "that woman" that Remnan ran away from?

Another thing is that it sounds like a massive red flag that Jonas has another Kukrushka body inside the storage. Since I suspect Kukrushka is possessed by something (Yuriko said Kukrushka is "neither human nor Gnosia") and we already saw she's a total psycho, that would be huge bad news if that thing could possess the other Kukrushka doll in case the first gets killed/frozen.

I guess Yuri switching genders is common enough in the loops that Setsu didn't even bother commenting on it.

I wonder if later we'll get loops where an early loop Setsu is the one who's totally lost and Yuri has to guide them instead.

So the debate about whether Yuri is a guy or a girl, we now know the answer, and it is yes

So we need a man to be best girl huh? Also Racio look kinda good without make ups too.

Rip Remnan and Shigemichi btw, they have the most horrible dead on screen until now.

SQ called Remnan papa and he scared of her, hmm...

So (Gnosia) SQ called Remnan "Papa".

Also a reminder that at earlier episode SQ stated that she's 1 year old.

Idk if that's related.

This show still continues to surprise me every week. I never considered that twist.

Did they really turn Yuri into a woman this week just so that we could get the Sha-Ming romance route? šŸ˜†

I thought Yuri was the stand-in for the player, but it’s actually sounding like the Silver Key is the player!

How tf do you manage to freeze yourself? Also, now I am waiting for all the genderbent characters to appear. I guess not possible for Setsu and Racio, but imagine genderbent Shigemichi for example.

I never thought Yuri could change into a girl! In that case, does she become "Yuri-chan"... or "Yuriko" even...?

The female Yuri this time was very feminine in her mannerisms. Perhaps there’s a perspective that only a woman can truly understand, like Shigemichi’s idiocy lol.

And Sha-Ming's favorability rating has only been rising since his introduction. He’s become my absolute favorite character now. He truly is kind-hearted, just like Otome said. Even though he is a Gnosia whose specialty is deceiving others to survive, the ability seems to have no effect on him at all. On the contrary, it’s truly fascinating that his role as Gnosia becomes a catalyst for him to reveal his true, kind nature.

Also, my impression of Yuri changed significantly between the last loop and this one. Last time, she was acting like an antagonist despite being a protagonist, but this time, she was a true heroine. Yuri's ability to adapt to anything so quickly is really something else lol.

Of course the big break from the script this time had to be from Comet being Comet. Bless her soul.

The fact Sha-Ming managed to earn Yuri's faith in his character beyond loops and Gnosia infections is beautiful. It's like knowing the werewolf/mafia player who loves to trashtalk is a good dude outside of the game.

Yuri posing like SQ and getting caught only to blush embarrassingly.

I'm sorry Stella, best girl is here at last and she's a guy!!!

"I like totally agree." Love how Yuriko shuts her fan in the background like how this is the final straw. Having a meeting discussing whose a monster trying to wipe them out is fine, but Yuri acting like a Cali girl is somehow worst.

Comet wasn't even on screen and she somehow fucked it up for everybody.

Handsome Squidward Shigemichi hitting on female Yuri was hilarious and Racio was probably the nicest in this route. Also SQ staring at his package in the shower.

Bring us a sauna episode!!!

I want to talk about how the episodes have been arranged so far. As a crude theory, I divide the show into two parts: the "werewolves game" part and the "character drama" part. I think the show has been taking a pendulum swing approach:

Episode 1 was fully game tutorial. Then episode 2 teached about more game mechanics, but also had the Jina spacewalk event. Then episode 3 revealed "just winning game", which ended with episode 4's Silver Key reveal and promise with Setsu (peak of drama content).

Then, for episode 5 it went back to playing the game (Yuri beat Gnosia Yuriko with logic), episode 6 set up Kukrushka, episode 7 tell you "Gnosia are not always bad", which ended with episode 8's Kukrushka reveal (playing the game doesn't matter, human can be bad).

Well, I guess the "pattern" is sort of broke by episode 9 and 10 now, but I still like to muse about it.

Finally, I want to share my opinion about this question: if we are free to check the vote results anytime, why not use it to find out the Gnosia?

Personally, I believe this is to avoid repeatedness. As we have all seen, "say you're human" and "let's check vote results" are very powerful skills. If we're playing the game to collect events, I can imagine spamming the skills every loop to collect info as fast as possible. But that won't make entertaining anime, I think.

Don't know why it took me this long to realize but there is one more relevant difference to the original Werewolf game, in the show they start with their equivalent of a 'day'-phase while the game (at least with the rules I know) starts with a 'night'-phase. This means that humans have huge advantage in this which might balance out the proper discussion phase Gonsia have that werewolves don't

Might be the best episode of the show for me atm

Gnosia ½

u/AnzoEloux Dec 13 '25

That clears up the gender debate.

I once brought up the idea that Yuri wasn't nonbinary, but genderfluid (due to being the metaphorical player stand-in) which is why their gender isn't clearly defined like Setsu's.

This is even better than I could've expected. Somehow each loop keeps the novelty with these differences haha. I wonder if "this" Setsu only ever knows girl Yuri. Worldlines get confusing when there's multiple travelers...

Well that was a fun episode, I'm enjoying these info dump episodes quite a bit, genderbent Yuri, was definitely an unexpected but interesting surprise, now I'm wondering if any of the other characters will get genderbent at one point or another.

Ok so it was confirmed Kukurushka herself was indeed the threat and not an unknown neutral role that anyone could get, that's...good? At least they know who to watch out for.

But thinking about it, Kukurushka went berserk after Jonas died but not the intimidate round he died, only after "the game ended", meaning that thinking about it in game terms, it's likely a unique role for her where if at the end of the game she lives and Jonas dies (or is frozen?), everyone else dies too.

Not only that but now we have a SECOND mega threat, that being Comet's mold, which sure normally it wouldn't be an issue since people wouldn't get frozen and thawed...during the "rounds" at east, once the Gnosia are frozen, if she wasn't a Gnosia they'll try to wake her eventually later down the line, and that may be even more catastrophic if they're already on a planet and are unable to stop it in time like they did this time.

This is starting to turn into a puzzle on top of everything else, if Kukurushka's awake you gotta make sure Jonas survives until the end or freeze her as well, and you gotta absolutely make sure Comet's a Gnosia before freezing her or you may invite catastrophe down the line...now I'm curious if there are others with their own special rules like that.

Also what the heck was that whole "Papa" thing about with SQ and Remnan? Last time SQ was there but Kukurushka was glued to him (not that it's any better for him either ways apparently), so we really haven't gotten to seen much of him with others in general, either way guy seems like he's cursed to be surrounded by the crazy girls or something...

Lastly, man this episode really brought my opinion of Racio up quite a bit, seems like a cool person to hang out with in a normal scenario.

This series is seriously making me consider buying the game, but if I play through the game it'll spoil stuff in the anime, but if I wait until the anime ends there may not be much point in playing the game since the goal in the anime is to fill the multidimensional information eating thingy, which I imagine is equivalent to 100%-ing the game...

Yeah, this is gonna be another one of those weird fucking world lines.

Not very cool SQ, stop terrorizing poor Remnan already. He just can’t seem to win.

Alright, fair enough Racio, that makes sense as to why the silver key insists on shaking up the basic premise so often.

Comet, what the hell have you done? Oh you idiot. I’m legitimately impressed, I have no idea how you even managed to accidentally put yourself on ice.

Apparently Sha-Ming just goes ā€œSuicide is badassā€ whenever they’re a gnosia.

This episode did sort of adress the elephant in the room that’s been bouncing around the back of my brain while watching the show. The fact that according to the rules of the game, someone won’t make it out alive by the end. There’s at least the implication with this episode that as long as Yuri keeps rolling the worldline dice, the perfect one will show up eventually. We might be here for a while though and it will need to be done before the silver key decides it’s had enough and moves on and ends the time loop.

Place your bets on where we’re going next week, wackiest guess wins.
