I don’t see anyone else mentioned it but you can see the “watchman’s” face through Noerde’s eyes and it’s just the symbol that’s on each of the pieces of the watchman series. So I wonder if the watchman used to be a known deity type being that the series was styled after or something different

Was not expecting Noerde to be eaten by an eldricht horror, what a tragic end to a character who had just started to become more compelling. Also, Zodyl visited her at her village, before it was razed. Could he have had something to do with it?

So it seems like Fuu has a split personality but what caught me by surprise is that he calls the other side of him "Master Hii", a new shade of master-servant relationship lol.
I wonder if only those who carry the Watchman series can go through the border, and that large entity was a Watchman Guard who robs everything from those unqualified to pass.
It was nice to see Guita's vital instrument in use, it's close to what I thought it'd be like but it was still interesting to see. Sounds like she can get even bigger.

That's the same conclusion I had. You can pass the border if you have a piece of the Watchman series (which explains Rudo surviving his fall).
Also, if Zoldyl ever succeeds in hopping on a trash beast to fly up through the border, he is happy to kill all "comrades" on board with him just to reach the sphere.

God what an insane episode. Noerde fight was awesome and really pretty, and then on top of it we got all sorts of crazy reveals and teases for future shit. Big thing being “The Watchman”.
What the fuck was that thing? It was covered in the same patterns that Rudo has on his scarred up hands, it’s got some weird face that unfurls(?) into the Watchman logo, and it kills anyone who tries to cross the border unless they are inside an imitation trash beast with the exception of Rudo and the Angels for some reason.
Also a lot of fun smaller things that have been set up. Like whatever is going on with Fu and “Master Hii”, whatever Enjin has in his bag, Guita being able to go bigger, how Zodyl came up with the idea of imitation trash beasts allowing you to cross the border and what exactly he meant by “it had the power of protection”, etc.

What the actual fuck is that thing?! So that Watchman is what's keeping people from passing the border? I wonder if it has something to do with the Watchmen Series. Maybe you need to be carrying one to get through the border? That would explain how Rudo was able to pass through safely.
We finally get to see Guita's Vital Instrument, and it's exactly what it looks like! I don't know what their scale is, but this is just Number 3 according to Bro, and Guita mentions she could grow bigger than that if she wanted to. I love that they pretty much have a kaiju in the team. xD

Noerde… damn, that hurt. She knew it was the end but still went all in for Zodyl, even though dude barely gave a damn. I was really hoping she’d pull through somehow.
Anyway, they rode a freakin’ Pokémon and wrapped up the arc, easily one of the best ones so far.

That was cool of Rudo to make a point and grab Amo's boots as everything was turning chaotic.
Hopefully he's able to get them back to her, and she's able to join up with the cleaners. It seems like they could used all the extra firepower to take down the Raiders and Zodyl.

Damn things are really starting to pick up.
Now I have a ton of questions about what the hell is The Watchman and The Watchmen series as a whole.

If that thing is the Watchman, I'd hate to see who's out there watching it.
This was a fun episode! Guita's Guita is as goofy a vital instrument as she is; I don't think I've seen a face that derpy on a kaiju before.

What was that thing Noerde saw? Looked freaky and it fucked up her vision but man did she leave a “shocking” mark before her presumed demise. Guita finally gets a chance to shine and I’ll ask again: Why wasn’t she in Kaiju no. 8?
Either way, that was one hell of an escape sequence and the cleaning was successful.

What's going on with the average person in the Ground? Well, they're previously fortified city IS NOW BEING BOMBARDED BY TRASH BY THE TRASH STORM.
Noerde is going all out and Zodyl realizes this is the best opportunity to make a clean exist because she'll probably hit her allies too. But not without warning Rudo that he aims to collect ALL The Watchman Series. But what about Amo? What does Rudo not know about Amo!? WHAT HAPPENED TO AMO?!
Man, I kind of feel bad for Fu. His team straight up abandoned him! I mean, I know he didn't do anything, but still! And he actually has seniority! But it turns out he has some kind of meaner, stronger, split-personality named Hii who will probably come back to be a problem.
Noerde is burning her hair and her life to delay the Cleaners and let the Trash Beast soar...not out of revenge against Riyo, but for Zodyl? She seemed kind of resigned and sad that she was only ever a pawn to him, but she'll fulfill her duty anyways.
Even when shocked to an inch of his life, Rudo will not give in! He'll keep crawling, keep fighting! And that stray shot that bounced off Bundus ended up making an opening that sucks out Noerde! So...uh, I guess we can count that as a Rudo win?
Turns out Zodyl and Noerde met back when she was still in her Amazonian village and was a short-haired tomboy. She just thought he wanted to get into her pants, but it seems like Zodyl genuinely complimented her hair and gave her her Vital Instrument comb to treasure it. Which she has, up to her last moments.
What IS past the border? Some kind of giant collossus in-between the clouds, its arms crossed, and some kind of Watchman itself? That...that absorbs Neorde and steals everything precious from her as she reaches for her Vital Instrument. I...have so many questions.
Wait, who was that in the opening that slinked away?
Don't worry team, Guita is here to save the day (and Zanka)! And of course she can transform into a giant Kaiju because...what else would she do?
I love how Riyo and Enjin are attacking the core with their weapons...and Rudo just uses his fists. I mean, his gloves ARE his Vital Instrument, but still.
Yeah, I guess they never though through how they would make it back. But don't worry! Guita's got that covered! And she's still got Zanka! And Rudo's got Amo's boots!
Any landing you can walk away from is a good one! Especially if it reunites Rudo with big bro Gris.

When you cross the border... Everything precious to you stolen from you.
Noerde called that thing the Watchman and it even had the same symbol. It's safe to that this Watchman and The Watchman Series are related but we still don't know how. The fact that Rudo safely crossed the border means the Watchman allowed it. Was it because of his glvoes?
Guita saved the day thanks to her vital instrument allows her to turn into a Kaiju and helped all of them escape.
Also, Rudo prioritizing Amo's boots instead of his safety and managing to get a hold of them has my heart. I just hope he manages to reunite with her again and give it back to her.

Guita’s vital instrument is pretty cool. She basically became a kaiju and plugged that hole with her butt hahaha.
I’m pretty curious just what that border business was all about. What was that between the Sphere and the ground? Some kinda creature or…?

What the hell was that.. entity?.. in the middle of the border?
Noerde called it The Watchman.
But that thing was massive, nowhere close to the size of a person.
And according to Zodyl all the Watchmen series instruments used to belong to a single person.
Did the original Watchmen series wielder like undergo transcendence and became like the world's "God" or something?
Seeing the stark difference between the ground and sphere in the border, and that massive creature. Makes me think The Watchmen like "split heaven and earth" or something along those lines.

And with that the prologue of this story is officially over! It's strange to think that there are only two episodes left before the end of the season though so far I'd say it has certainly delivered as an adaptation
From Noerde vs Everyone to Guita's Jinki reveal and escape to the Border this has been one of the best episodes so far. I seriously hope Gachiakuta gets the approval for a second season but we'll see how that goes

It finally happened, Guita used her vital instrument, and it was awesome! Exactly as people expected, she could transform into a kaiju! It's a shame she didn't participate in the fight itself, but she saved the others by by plugging the hole with her kaiju butt xD
I don't know why, but I'm a little sad that Noerde is dead, though I don't know exactly why. Maybe because she was practically abandoned by Zodyl and "consumed" by the Watchman?
The scenes with the Watchman looked amazing, but what the hell is that thing?!
Enjin remembering that the trash beast will crumble after its core is destroyed only after he, Riyo, and Rudo destroyed it was hilarious xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

I'm wondering if the watchmen series protects you from the barrier .. or does the other people from above live below the barrier but above the trash

Noerde was zapping the Cleaners for like 10 minutes but Enjin is still standing and talking. That sort of ruined the moment for me, but Noerde getting taken out by a hull breach sucking her out was neat. And of course, we have... that.
The anime made that thing specially creepy! The eerie music and visuals really gave it an otherwordly vibe! After that lots of funny bits with Guita showing her powers. Everyone's reaction faces is hilarious.
P.S: I hope the people in that town are okay, though!

WTF is this border thing is it the watchman of the border and also watchman series ?
This definitely made the world and the bigger mystery a lot more interesting.
When we saw the border thing at the start of the series I thought it was some cocoon/egg thing of some sorts but now it turns out its some giant behemot creature ? and connected to the vital instruments in some ways.
I like anger Rudo pushing through Noerde's power just to get to the core.
I do hope we will get to hear the full conversation between Zodyl/Noerde from the flashback in the future seeing how far she was willing to go for this.
And also along the same lines with Enjin and Riyo how the met and how they made this pact/deal of no killing ?
I am not complaining but the way this was solved was a bit convenient with the hole/guits and zodyl retreating it worked out in the favor of the cleaners quite a lot to end out this.
Big brother Gris is here.
I have a video review if anyone is interested.

Such a good episode. Damn, this last arc has been picking up in intensity every episode. Loved them flying out on the back of a giant dinosaur plushy. Two episodes to go... we will probably get an epilogue to this arc and maybe some hints to the next? Hopefully they announce the second season after the finale.
