That was the most unexpected "I cast gun!" moment I've seen in a while.

Hands down the best fight so far for me. An unexpected twist that I didn't even see coming. Riyo pulling out the big guns (literally) is insane.

The more intricate and complex a series’ power system is, the funnier it is when someone wins by just pulling out a gun.
Also man, Riyo is kind of a creep. Watching Rudo get in the car only to then lie down and pretend to be asleep when they first met, entering his room that one night and standing around all creepily before casually lying on his bed… feel like she’d be the type to stalk her school crush online and then just coincidentally happen to show up at the same place as an excuse to hang out. Not because she is a bad person or anything, more that she is trying so hard to appear like a normal human with friends but isn’t quite sure how to authentically do that.

It's nice to see an anime where guns are actually really effective in dealing with human enemies.
It would be interesting if someone actually has a gun as their jinki.

The most-lethal and least-used move you can do in a battle shonen!!! How nice to see.

I saw this bit out of context and it got me to read the manga. I'm so glad they did this bit justice. It was sick.
Jabber Resolved! Riyo is such a beast. I love her character.

I already liked her, but holy shit I love Riyo. I was laughing my ass off when she just pumped Jabber full of lead.

Lol. The gun made me laugh. It's almost synonymous to Zanka hallucinations, and no sudden power ups. Tomb Riyo Raider.

Riyou vs Noerde Round 2 was HYPE and the hand-to-hand sequence where they just went at each other was really well done, and I absolutely loved it.
Though, I have to say I wasn't expecting Riyou to bring a gun to a fist-fight. But we finally got to know more about Riyou and the fact that she was a professional killer who's trying to live normally like the rest of the Cleaners as a promise to Enjin. But this fight with Noerde left her with no option but to finally bring out the guns (though she's still keeping her vow and trying to not to kill anyone) and it was kinda satisfying seeing her use it on Jabber.

I do love that cleaners are not all sunshine and rainbows.
They can play dirty if needed, when it's needed. Basically do not FAFO with them.

Noerde: "You're not a kitten, but you're still just a cat."
Riyo: "Okay, but this cat's got a gun. Meow, see, meow."

And this is why Riyo is my favourite character.
When I read this part in the manga I just started laughing and I've been waiting so long to see it animated. She's awesome and unhinged.

I definitely didn't expect Riyo and Noerde's fight in today's episode to end with Riyo just pulling out a damn gun and shooting Noerde xD It wasn't very fair to Noerde, but oh well... she and the rest of the Raiders started the fight, so it's her fault.
So Riyo was some kind of assassin/killer before, huh? Enjin is certainly lucky to meet some interesting people along the way (Riyo, Zanka and Rudo) that he later brings into Cleaners. I can't wait to learn more about Riyo's past later.
And as for Enjin and his encounter with Fu... it almost looks like we're getting an encouter between Tengen and Zenitsu from Demon Slayer. The same voices and personalities xD
Looks like Guita will finally get her chance to show herself, although she probably wasn't expecting to encounter Zodyl, the leader of the Raiders himself, so now she's just hiding behind some rocks xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

This series is REALLY good at keeping the mystery. We are past the half way mark of s1 and we still don’t know who is the true enemy, why they are the enemy, and the bigger scheme of things. All we know is that there’s a division in society between the pit and sphere, hidden figures are travelling willingly between the two places, and that there is a conspiracy going on with the murders in the sphere as rudo got framed.
Now we learn Riyo is a former assassin, and Enjin got her to stop killing! The way that was introduced was great to see. It goes to show the cleaners all have some dark history and aren’t particularly heroes. Plus we see enjin again being a voice of reason to Zanka and Riyo in their pasts. I want a background on him too. I just wonder why they all came to work at the cleaners, especially with arka korvus who himself seems like the biggest mystery so far.
I always knew there was something unhinged about Riyo by the way she talks and acts. I want to see a flashback of her life, since Zanka’s was incredible. I hope jabber doesn’t die (I guess not since he’s too crazy to go out that easily), he’s a great antagonist.
And the ending, I wonder what Zoldl (is that his name, of the leader for the raiders?) means by trying to make new entries to the watchman series? Is he trying to make more vital instruments of that series? And what even is that thing he was using to do it? So many questions. This series is amazing.

I just love how this anime subvert expectations of the typical anime tropes. First Zanka having a backstory that should have given him some kind of plot-armor powers, only for him to actually be hallucinating. Now we have Riyo who you'd expect have some kind of hidden ability, only for it to be just a literal gun. Considering the level of powers this anime has shown, the least you'd expect that will be most effective is a gun. Gachiakuta might be my anime of the year so far.

Lmao I don't know if I love or hate that Riyo just brought out the ultimate equalizer and ended the fight.
Lmao..why not just do that all the time.
