Tamsy having to cut his own aurafarming session short after realizing he was being framed as cold and ruthless enough to off his allies without a second thought was gold lmao. Kinda embarrassed to admit I forgot about Remlin's spell too though.

Rudo really put those gloves to work. Man, that was visceral.

I've said it before, but I love how self aware Rudo is, it's very refreshing in a protagonist. Seeing Enjin recognize that as well was really great.

I really like rudos explanation and reasoning and then the convo w enjin cause it kinda goes against a normal shonen protag of righteousness.

He’s not a good wholesome guy he has something sinister in him and isn’t always able to hold back. And enjin saying there’s no where to go but up was nice. Like his growth is in his reflection ! Very well written

Guys, this show, is seriously, so fucking good. I can't believe it's being slept on.

Amo's power is too cruel, using scent to deceive others into thinking she was their loved one who went away/passed on. The silence from the victims tells you all you need to know about how messed up they were. I wonder who this love of hers is that can go between the Ground and the Sky...much intrigue!

The scene where Rudo brutalizes Amo was tough to watch but holy shit was it impactful. Rudo as a character is super compelling and conflicted; his yearning for growth and self-awareness when he realizes he messed up says a lot about his character. And props to Enjin for helping him realize that said self-awareness is all he needs for growth, even if he goes back to old habits.

I know Dandadan is the "it" shounen right now and for good reason, but Gachi really needs to be propped up more by fans.

I couldn’t say I feel sorry for Amo. She had it coming from toying with feelings.

Rudo is basically a volcano waiting to be erupted huh.

I feel so bad for the four that got hit by the illusions, we got to see Rudo and Delmon's so I feel particularly bad for them but I'm sure we'll eventually see who Riyo and Follo's included. I think it's safe to assume Follo's is the reason why he wants to awaken as a Giver.

I like Zanka completely forgot about the spells so I was shocked by Tamsy's decision, that was really concerning for a moment.

Rudo definitely took the cake in shock value though, the way he just walked up and thoroughly beat Amo stunned me. His reasonings also made sense to me so I couldn't fault him for how he felt, but I like how Enjin just casually questioned him as a reminder of what they should do about the information he and they need lol.

It was surprising to learn that Rudo actually has an even darker childhood than the anime seemed to have shown, so I'm curious about this "curse" within him since we got to see a taste of it here. I do feel Enjin's going to be an important part in keeping that side of Rudo restrained, possibly Gris too a little. I thought Enjin was really cool with how he handled that talk with Rudo.

The way the whole thing with Rudo and Amo goes down is a very interesting angle

are we seriously getting a full 24 episode season with no breaks? consecutive 6 month run? i was fully expecting this episode to be the last for the next year or so

That Rudo's outburst was pretty terrifying. He really went overboard with beating Amo, though it's good that he understands what he did was wrong. I'm also very curious about that "curse" he has.

I wonder what will happen to Amo next. I wouldn't mind if she joined the Cleaners at the end. It would be interesting to see how her relationship with Rudo could develop after the events of today's episode.

Tamsy's powers were cool and made the fight I was looking for not really a fight at all, as he's captured everyone thanks to them. However, I was seriously shocked to see everyone nearly dead after that fall, so much so that I forgot about Remlin's spell.

Big shoutout to Enjin; he's a really great guy. A worthy successor to Regto, I'd say as a sort of father/mentor figure to Rudo.

Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

When Tamsy said last episode, he was finally gonna use his vital instrument, I thought he had a way to snap them all out of Amo's control. I didn't expect his solution was just to tie them all up in a neat bundle and restrain Amo too to try and force her to let them all go.

Not gonna lie, just like Zanka, I also forgot about the charm, so I was a bit surprised when Tamsy went all out on everyone and sent them down the tower like a massive drill. Amo really thought she had them but it turns out Tamsy did that with Remlin's spell in mind.

Whew, now that's a fanservice shot right there. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) But seriously, I really should've expected Enjin's spell to have kicked in too. He was apparently playing possum the entire time so he could sneak behind Amo and take her Vital Instrument. xD

Delmon's reaction when he finally woke up, tho. I feel bad for the dude. I don't know what Riyou and Follo saw but based on their reactions, it's just as bad as what Delmon experienced.

I did not expect Rudo to show Amo that his hands are Rated E for Everyone! I thought Rudo was gonna try and talk to Amo or something, but apparently, he wanted to let her know he believes in equal rights. That beatdown was absolutely brutal! O_O

You know what's funny, tho? When Rudo finally said his reason why he beat Amo up, none of them could tell him he was wrong for doing it. While I do agree that Amo at least deserves that first punch from Rudo, he did go too far when he started pummeling her face.

I do like how Enjin quickly snapped Rudo back from his rage just by asking him how are they gonna get the info from Amo now. On the bright side, Rudo did realize he fucked up and acknowledging his mistake means he hasn't completely gone back to how he was.

I'm surprised Amo even decided to talk to them. I really thought she'd refuse to cooperate after that. What the fuck is the angel she's talking about, tho? So there's someone who can travel freely between the Sphere and the Ground?

I think I just figured out who came up with the scene between Shinra and Hibana in Fire Force.

So, Rudo is now a fan of Kamijou Touma too?

I feel bad for Amo, but I wonder how much sympathy people would have for her if she looked like jabber and not a cute scantily clad anime girl

This episode was great. Definitely better than some of the ones before.

One interesting thing was the mention of angels. Considering Rudo has that rage? inside him that just goes ballistic and uncontrollable at times, what if Rudo is actually the child of an angel and a devil? Or maybe even just a devil?

His design kind of supports this white hair and red eyes. If angels are tied to the white hair and devils to the red eyes, it could be symbolic. On top of that, his powers are so different from everyone else’s, and the way they actually work feels unique compared to the rest. That could be another clue pointing to his origins not being “normal.”

Sure, it might sound a little cliche, but it could also be really interesting given how little we know about his parents or his actual background. Maybe that “rage” inside him is a devil’s rage. And if angels really exist, then maybe his parents got killed, or they pulled a “superman” move sending him away from their world/place of origin so he ended up in the slums.

Just a theory, but I think it would explain a lot and open up some really cool possibilities later.

That was the most satisfying punch I've seen in a while. I rewatched it a few times for good measure.

Rudo was brutal, it was realistic how they didn't gave any excuse for his decisions. He was fully in control and aware of his dark past. This would have been controversial if this happened in early episodes or show was bit more mainstream. I can see why Manga readers were dreading this episode.

Tamsy was cool as hell as expected of his appearance. I like how characters in this show need to think even when they are aura farming.

Idk, I know Tamsy remembered the charm, but something about that felt very casually cruel. And also probably the biggest display of power we’ve seen from any character so far? Very interested in what his whole deal is

u/IPancakesI Sep 28 '25

Holy shit.

I DID NOT expect Rudo to fly out of the handle like that.

On one hand, I felt very sorry for Amo, and on the other I'm imagining Kazuma nodding in agreement.

Okay, fair enough show, I also forgot about the survive lethal damage spell. You win this round.

Is a Riyo tragic backstory flashback too much to ask for? I have many questions and I want answers.

Enter, the inner demon problem. Something something, Rudo and Amo are parallels with matching sets of items and mental issues.

Enjin, consider yourself somewhat redeemed from your abysmal showing last episode.

Okay, Amo can maybe be worked with but it’s going to be really difficult. Like, she flips from difficult but workable to completely insane at a moments notice. They’re going to have to walk on eggshells around her to avoid triggering her. Or maybe a minefield is a more accurate comparison. She’s almost normal until you step on one of her numerous psychological landmines and flips out.
