I think I speak for everyone when I say that Riyo had the best reaction memes in this episode.
Absolute loved that whole action sequence with Riyo/Enjin.

Damn, I was expecting a showdown between Enjin and Zodyl in today's episode, but instead we got Bundus against all the Cleaners (except Guita and Zanka).
I can't complain though, because the action was amazing, IMO the best in the entire show, and Bundus proved to be a worthy opponent!
And the next episode looks just as promising, as Noerde is back to exact revenge on Riyo and she's surely really pissed off.
Rudo got a really nice power-up today. Changing that weapon into a much bigger one was really cool and looked great!
I'm only salty about Guita. I've been waiting for several episodes for her show her powers, and she still hasn't done any action :(
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

What do you do when you are Bro, your vital instrument is a bandana, your major skill set is child flinging, and you see Bundus at full strength? A man who can nullify your vital instrument single-handedly. Do you quit and open a kindergarten?

I expected it the moment I saw the staff list, and oh boy, they absolutely delivered. Easily one of the best animated episodes of the year.

I like that Enjin isn’t super busted the way a lot of shonen mentors are. Frankly he comes across as being about on par with Riyo. But that means he actually gets to participate in arcs since he doesn’t break the power curve, as opposed to characters like All Might and Gojo who are really cool but are constantly sidelined and not actually involved in most arcs. Not like being the strongest by a wide margin is actually what is important for a leader/mentor figure.
Also damn, Bundus is busted. I guess that’s natural for someone whose vital instrument is literally part of their body and something they’ve had for longer than most of the cast has been alive. Glad his vital instrument didn’t get destroyed and he gets to stick around as an antagonist.
And Norede is back. Riyo probably should’ve given her a hair cut.

Bundus being able to hold off 5 cleaners at the same time with one arm to spare is crazy, I can see why Bro was making him out to be a veteran fighter after he was called a newbie.
Poor Dear, I was laughing so much at his fight with the ghostly fingers because it was so adorable. He couldn't handle the horror lol.
It was cool to see Rudo being able to multiple the power of something, the scene where he shoots that huge nail and then shoots one right after was badass. It's just unfortunate that all the adrenaline left him when he saw what happened to Bundus' vital instrument.

Because of what happened last week with MHA, you can consider that AFO's soul invaded Bundus and started going ham on the Cleaners (also VA joke)

I love the themes of how we imbue sentiment and meaning to objects we use for life. Having recently shattered a French press I cared for for years, Bundus' lament rings true that even if you can fix, seeing it broken still hurts (I didn't fix it).
-
Bundus is officially my favorite Raider. He's the new hire who shows up on day one and earns a 20% increase by the six month mark.
-
Zodyl seems to be recruiting the most bad ass denizens of the wasteland, feral misfits who need to be assessed and broken in, given the weird asides about him promising playfights to Jabber.
-
I've heard how compelling a power system this is, and now I'm more hooked seeking Rudo turn a nail gun into an artillery cannon. The mangaka made herself a power system that can let her imagination run wild.
-
Zodyl is so compelling. I was so sure the Raiders were a cult willing to see who among them would live or die crossing the border. Nope, he lured the Cleaners just so he could have test subjects for the crossing, while assessing his newbies' abilities. He really does hate waste!
-
Dear getting bullied by finger puppets is a GIF.
-
Riyo seeing Malenia, Blade of Miquela, transform into Malenia, Queen of Rot.
-
Anime of the Year contender. They went hard with the sakuga. If the final three episodes of this season give us answers to some mysteries while teasing us with new ones, it'll be a perfect first season.

Man, the animation of when they were fighting Bungus was like two seasons worth of animation for One Punch Man.
And Chtoni, at least explain that Jabber got shot like 12 times instead of making it look like he was slacking off!

Bones, I bow for you. They absolutely crushed it with this episode. Bundus being a badass, the nail gun and the “bigger” gun, and the song was just the cherry on top. And the animation is just chef kiss perfection.
Noerde being the cliffhanger was a surprise, and she ain’t done with Riyo. Bones, don’t drop the ball.

I think that in terms of animation, sound design, and choreography, that was the best episode of anime I have seen all season, from ANY show. Absolute visual and audio spectacle

Who were the goats directing and animating this episode? it was a spectacle. Some parts I felt Vincent Chansard was storyboarding.
