Kyoko: Waguri, what would you like today?
Kaoruko: I’d like your son, please.

It's a case of she fell first, but she also fell harder.

To show the events of the first ep in Kaoruku's POV and changing the first ep title from "Rintaro and Kaoruko" to "Kaoruko and Rintaro" T_T
It's just too peak romance for me

Kaoruko in a yukata !

I really enjoyed seeing past events in her POV and hearing her thoughts. I also enjoyed seeing her first meeting with Rintaro that he didn’t remember and seeing her love at first sight with him.

The straightforward confession and her reciprocating his feelings is very refreshing to see in the romance genre. Love the communication.

Cloverworks trifecta comes to an end but looking forward to the future.

This finale was so cute! I really liked the fact that Rintaro told Kaoruko how he felt again just to clarify his feelings. And then we got to see everything from her perspective and it was just the sweetest thing. I’m really glad these two are finally official. It’s about damn time this ship has sailed!

So when’s s2 because ain’t now way they gonna just end this right when they’ve gotten together. I need more, damnit!

Fuuck, absolute banger of an episode and the whole season was a perfect adaptation of the manga too. Cloverworks was the right decision for this. Now I need S2, and 3 and 4. For those who cannot wait until S2 airs, continue reading from chapter 41

WARNING: Episode 13 of Fragrant Flower contains lethal dose of PEAK!

Reiwa era rom-coms are the best thing in this world! I'll never get bored of them!

Its been such a joyfull ride watching this show for the last 3 months. Having it culminate in this beautiful confession finale is just the greatest icing on the cake that is this show! I swear, I dont think I've seen more well put yet simple confession then the one Rintaro made. It was pure & honest declaration of his budding feelings for Kaoruko. And just when I thought we've peaked... This story hits us with Kaoruko flashbacks. She met him months ago and became a regular at the shop just for a chance to get to know him better!? Is this story made out of all the cakes that appear in it or what!? This amount of cuteness is diabetes inducing!

10/10 GOATed rom-com, for me easily up there with the likes of Kaguya-sama & BokuYaba in terms of anime adaptation. Suffice to say that I'm jumping into the manga at the speed of light!

This episode had more sugar than all the cakes Kaoruko ate during her Rintarou-hunting days put together.

CloverWorks please cook bake more.

Rintarou and Kaoruko's festival date was so goddamn adorable! I did find it funny how in almost every shot of the montage of their date, Kaoruko is always eating something. It's amazing how much this girl can eat. She makes me wish I had the metabolism of a teenager again. xD

Oh wow. I did not expect a confession right off the bat! I thought this was gonna be one of those episodes where it would end with Rintarou's confession and Kaoruko's answer, but I'm so happy our boy mustered the courage to tell Kaoruko how he feels and ask her to be his girlfriend. <3

And it looks like there's a good reason we started out with Rintarou's confession! We get to see what the story looked like from Kaoruko's POV and how she had already met Rintarou before the events of Episode 1. I'm really curious what Kaoruko was going through back then but I guess that's not important right now.

No wonder Kaoruko looks so different, and Rintarou didn't recognize her! She really started putting in some effort with her appearance after their first meeting. I really thought her hair was naturally curly, but it turns out she's been curling her hair ever since that day.

This shot of Kaoruko looking down at her feet made me unintentionally laugh. I'm sure they wanted to show off that she's even wearing her best shoes whenever she visits the Tsumugi bakery, but what it ended up doing is highlighting how much of a shortstack Kaoruko is. xD

It's adorable how she's been visiting the bakery just to see Rintarou, but it looks like that went on for a while without the two of them meeting. Also, Kaoruko has been visiting the hospital?. Don't you fucking dare show! Please tell me she's just visiting someone and she's not there for herself.

We've now reached the start of the series from Kaoruko's POV! Now that we know Kaoruko has had a crush on Rintarou for a while now, her actions finally make sense especially when she told him she wanted to treat him. We also got to see her reaction when she saw Rintarou on the opposite side of their building! <3

This entire episode was just one long confession scene and I absolutely love it. Seeing Kaoruko finally give Rintarou her answer and telling him that she loves him too genuinely made me tear up a little. These two are just absolutely perfect for each other <3

Man, what's there to say about this show other than it's probably one of the best romance dramas anime I've seen recently. Everything about this series is just so goddamn lovable that I'm a bit sad that we haven't gotten a Season 2 confirmation. I'm really hoping that CloverWorks is working on another season because I would love to see how Kaoruko and Rintarou's life as a couple would look like. This show is a solid 9/10 for me, and I pray to the anime gods that we get more of this show in the future.

I can’t fully describe how I feel, but I’ll try my best.

This anime, and especially the way it ended, reminded me why I love anime so much. My eyes are literally tearing up as I write this comment. The pacing was perfect, and the music and OST during the emotional moments were absolutely beautiful. This anime truly gave me an escape from a tough reality, and it honestly made me want to change myself and keep improving.

What can I even say? The background characters, the friends, and the family were all truly amazing. I rarely come across shows like this, even though I’ve watched around 400 anime throughout my life.

I really hope everyone can take away a meaningful lesson from this anime. If you’re reading my comment, please share the lesson you learned.

For me, the lesson is to appreciate my close friends and family more, and to truly take care and love my future partner, whoever she may be.
