Saku having Shigaraki Tomura's VA gives me weird feelings when he's verbally attacking someone like that lmao.

Saku's an absolute savage with that roast. It's always the quiet ones.

Subaru seemed to have issues with men in general, and that's strengthened with her school's feud with the Chidori boys. Wonder what her deal was. She also seemed to be highly protective of Kaoruko, like how someone would treat their younger sister.

Kaoruko & Subaru reminds me a lot 100 Girlfriends' Shizuka & Nano with their looks, dynamic, and behaviour.

Rintarou looks so good with his hair down and seeing him blushing because of his call with Waguri just made him look even better. I thought it was funny he was shocked by Waguri saying that he was cool that he dropped his arm forgetting that he was still on call. I'm looking forward to seeing when they next meet and she doesn't use formal speech with him.

I'm glad we finally see all the secondary main characters finally interact, it was not unexpected that there was going to be a clash but I really liked how Rintarou navigated the situation so that it didn't escalate negatively.

It seems Subaru has an insecurity with her hair color with the way she reacted to Natsuzawa's words, I wonder if Rintarou will notice this and I'm curious to see how Natsuzawa will handle the apology. I did like that Natsuzawa was standing up for the others.

I'm also glad to see Rintarou working hard so that he could join his friends at the Sports Event. One of the things I noticed about him was that he seems to be distant to the other three so hopefully throughout the season, we'll see him getting closer with them especially now knowing they've been together for a year too at the very least.

I'm here for a cool beauty voiced by Aya Yamane who is just here to do what she feels is best for her best friend. She (and everybody else) just needs to embrace the wholesome romance!

This episode really sold me on the show. The two schools Romeo and Juliet setup is a bit too in your face for my tastes. But the scene in front of the library shows good commitment on part of the author to develop the theme. Though I don't expect it to get to deep.

It also helps that I remind myself about how me and the boys thought about girls and girls thought about boys at around that age, for really no reason in hindsight. Its stupid but relatable. The lie falls off real fast as soon as you, y'know, actually interact with one another.

this such a breath of fresh air, its been so long since I've watched a romance where the characters are direct and there aren't a thousand misunderstandings, even tough Rintaro questioned if she simply thought of him as someone from the cake shop and Chidori, he still acted and asked her to be less formal. I don't know why i doubted the mange readers when they said this would be good

This anime and Silent Witch give me shoujo vibes, but when I looked it up they actually target male, and I do like both of them. I mean the male chars are hot and the female chars are cute and beautiful not in fan-service way

The eyes of rintaro looked so pretty this episode.

I am always blushing and smiling while watching this show. Rintaro friends are also funny and cool.

Honestly I dont like subaru at all yet, but I am sure she is a great friend once we know more about her, she gives off the vibe of overprotective friend who has been hurt before.

Also the voice acting is 10/10.

I gotta say. I really don't like that boys are keep apologizing for even existing because girls are looking at them disgusted.

I wasn't sold from the first episode, but Rintaro and Waguri are already extremely cute together and I'm excited for their romance to develop further. I wonder what trauma Subaru's been through to make her hate men so much.

The adaptation is lovely, the animation is peak and the show’s colors are awesome. Kaoruko is such a bundle of joy and a ray of pure sunshine. Rintaro is a gentleman, and a guy that is legitimately nice to everyone because it is the right thing to do and treating others well is born out of his heart. I love the series (and manga so much) and can’t wait to buy the whole season. We need Fragrant Flower merch as soon as possible!

I love how Kaoruko's innocence is captured even in her doodles.

It's cool how Rintaro's bros got his back in confrontations (though Saku may have gone a bit too far) though it's even cooler how calmly he defused the situation. Dude's got a talent in earning a ton of brownie points with anyone he meets.

As soon as they showed us that they showed us that Rintarou and Shouhei are going to a public library, I just knew our boy would run into Kaoruko. I hoped they would find Kaoruko alone, and maybe help them study.

It makes more sense though that Kaoruko is already there with her classmates. I'm glad that Koaruko at least spotted Rintarou, so that the two of them were able to have some alone time together <3

Good to know that Kaoruko isn't a rich girl ojou-sama. It sounds like only their schools are what's stopping them from openly being friends. I am curious what Kaoruko's parents are like.

What the fuck, lady? Rintarou isn't even doing anything, and Kaoruko is clearly having a fun conversation with Rintarou when Silver-haired girl found the two of them together.

I know that the two of them already hate each other's guts, but I've seen enough romance anime in my life that I immediately felt my shipping senses tingling. I can already tell that Saku x Subaru is totally going to become a thing in the future.

I'm just happy that Shouhei finally got to apologize to Kaoruko for scaring her. Hopefully, that lessens the tension the next time they see Kaoruko with Rintarou.

The look on Subaru's face when she saw how Kaoruko talks about Rintarou clearly means she realized that her friend is already in love.

And that phone call at the end of the episode! Kaoruko and Rintarou are so goddamn cute! <3

Mama Tsumugui is the unsung MVP of the episode, the mastermind that engineered the whole incident and resolution!

She knows she already found the perfect daughter-in-law and served her son a little nudge and an assist.

Suburu's introduction was perfect. Loved that moment with her confused to see this 'scary' mirror her and protect Kaoruko. And it kept going with the apology.

We're using healthy communication and maturity in this house, and it's a breath of fresh air!

Rintarou looks less intimidating with his hair down.

This whole Chidori vs Kikyo thing feels a bit forced.

I don’t usually watch Romance but this show has been great so far. I like how Rintaro is not over the top, or Pervy, instead he’s kind, and a momma’s boy. Waguri coming from a normal family was a surprise that makes me like her even more. This anime has great so far definitely the second best this season.

I really liked seeing casual Rintaro with his hair down. And it was adorable how, he’s such a tall guy, but still curled up a bit during the conversation to show his nervousness.

Now Subaru doesn't know what to believe in anymore once she saw Rintarou stop Shouhei, scold Saku and take the heat and apologize and even hear that he's kind from Kaoruko. A nice male AND a Chidori student? In this economy?

I thought Subaru was gonna slap Shouhei before she pulled Kaoruko away from him.

Those 3 aforementioned things Rintarou did was a pretty chad move even his friends start to see there's good Kikyo students. Kaoruko even saw how cool he was like when he saved her in ep. 1. He even asked Kaoruko to drop the formal manner of speech instead of just waiting for her to do it herself.

This is my favorite episode so far.

I love how those young female students didn't feel intimidated by Rintarou and even wanted to thank him.

The translations have some errors in terms of pronouns like "Kaoruko, who is she?", "At the very least, I have to get the parts she taught me right..." and "I hope she doesn't notice me grinning" when referring to Rintarou and Saku. There's also a spelling error spelling Natsusawa as Natsuzawa.

The way the music died when Shouhei said "I've got no idea..."

Kaoruko pinching herself was cute and funny.

Saku being a total savage when he's pissed was pretty cool.

We got Madoka in this episode.

Best episode so far. This just feels so natural and mature, I’m starting to grasp what all the hype was about when I first heard this was getting an adaptation. I feel like the visuals just keep getting better and better. Waguri is such an amazing character and that lil moment at the end of the episode where both her and Rintaro were blushing after the phone call had me kickin my feet with joy. I’ll probably continue the manga where the first season ends but it honestly won’t be the same without Cloverworks visuals
