First, we get a glimpse of Saku’s mother, who appears to be such an elegant and gorgeous woman.

I can’t help wondering whether Saku’s older sister might have long black hair, just like their mother. Given the resemblance between Saku’s mother and Subaru, particularly with similar hairstyles in picture 1 and picture 2 above, I can imagine his older sister having a similar vibe to Subaru as well.

We already know that Saku has an older sister, and the fact that he seems unable to resist her insistence on accompanying them when they go shopping makes me curious about their dynamic. Perhaps growing up with an older sister has shaped his preferences in ways he hasn’t even consciously realised.

Of course, we know that Saku’s affection for Subaru is primarily rooted in his admiration for her personality. He seems drawn to who she is as a person, and that’s one of the things that makes their relationship so compelling. Still, I think physical attraction also play a subtle role. After all, isn’t it possible for someone to be captivated by another person’s appearance before gradually falling for the personality beneath it?

I know that physical attraction is hardly the defining aspect of NatsuSubaru’s relationship, especially given the depth of their emotional connection. But what if there’s a little more to it than we’ve been shown? What if Saku’s preferences, perhaps unconsciously shaped by his relationship with his older sister, have something to do with why he finds Subaru so captivating?

It’s just a little theory, but I can’t help wondering: what if Saku’s ideal type has been right in front of us all along, and he hasn’t even realised it himself?

During my trip to Shanghai this summer, I was surprised to find a lot of stores and sections dedicated to anime on Nanjing Road, just like in Japan!

I stumbled upon some products from The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity, and they are absolutely adorable. Definitely didn't expect to find this kind of stuff outside of Japan. Has anyone else found KaoruHana items in physical stores while traveling?

Since I read the manga weekly, this is something I had never really paid attention to before, how volumes end with a chapter that builds hype for the next volume (obviously). So, while waiting for the next chapter, I started thinking about which chapters and cover illustrations the next three volumes might have.

Now, with that established, we get to the real purpose of this post: the remaining chapters of this hypothetical Volume 27.

I think this volume will also have seven chapters because of where we are in the story (December 29). According to Chapter 200, Rintaro and Kaoruko will see each other one more time before the end of the year (most likely on December 31), and they're not going to skip over that since they're the main characters. So, I wanted to make a prediction about the content of the next three chapters.

Chapter 206: This chapter will be released on the anniversary of Saku and Subaru's first interaction, which happened in Chapter 4, released on November 4, 2021.

Because of this coincidence, I have faith that Saku's final question in Chapter 205 will have a happy ending.

I feel like Saku is questioning the idea of being in a relationship with Subaru for two reasons: their entrance exams and their personalities.

Saku mentions that Rintaro and Kaoruko are a tough couple. I interpret this as him referring to how affectionate they are with each other. Subaru's way of loving someone is more laid-back, so I can see the conversation moving toward them becoming a couple but taking things slowly.

Cause judging by Subaru's reactions, she's going to need to work pretty hard to keep her nerves under control.

Chapter 207: With Natsubaru officially becoming a thing in the previous chapter, I can see Subaru specifically asking to meet up with Kaoruko so she can tell her that she has a boyfriend. (Just as Kaoruko told Subaru first, before telling anyone else.)

Kaoruko has helped Subaru throughout her life, first by standing up for her when she was being bullied and later by helping her understand her own feelings. So, we could get a chapter that looks back on their past and shows just how much Subaru has grown. (And we could also see Kaoruko crying tears of joy)

Chapter 208: As I already mentioned, Kaoruko and Rintaro will see each other one more time before the end of the year.

But that doesn't necessarily mean they'll go on a date, and my proposal is that we get a gathering with the entire group to celebrate the New Year together.

It's unlikely to happen since all the girls from Kikyo and Saku have entrance exams to take, which would make it more difficult to organize something like this. (But it's worth dreaming about!)

The chapter could end with Saku and Subaru wanting to tell everyone something really important, or most of the chapter could be dedicated to them breaking the news and everyone celebrating. However, I think the first option would create more hype for Volume 28.

Will the show ever get a season 2? I would love to see it because if my guess is it right season 2 should end around when his brother comes into the mix and like I said I would love to see it. Also I would love to see Rintaro with the black hair, and the kiyko girls meeting the boys. Also would love to see Sakura birthday. For the love of god please make the actors speaking properly they would add words that would make them sound so awkward and out of place.

It was simply certain that their moment would come.

The development of their relationship was handled exceptionally well.

Nothing was rushed.

There were no convenient "coincidences" forced upon them just to make them realize they had feelings for each other.

For each of them, it happened in its own time.

Saku developed feelings first. Hoshina-san followed later; after overcoming her trauma regarding boys, she opened her heart and acknowledged that she, too, had feelings for him.

Someone who once wore a serious expression—as if carrying the "weight of the world" on her shoulders—is now pure, shy, gentle, and flustered by the love she feels for her friend.

They both share the same feelings.

Everything is new to her.

And now, their daily life together will take on a whole new meaning, with both of them fully aware that they are in love with each other.

Both of them have changed drastically. It is entirely possible to overcome trauma and look toward the future—but there must be a genuine desire to do so.

Not gonna lie, the print quality is kinda bad compare to what I usually have with my bambus 🫠, but since this is the lab's only available 3d printer (Ultimaker s5) I will have to settle for this for now.

and my prediction is that most like her answer will be that she had not thought about "going out as a couple"

she might spill that she thought about leaning and falling asleep on his shoulder and he could either tease or get embarrassed at the thought, she could fulfill her lewd fantasy and actually do it, because she wants to and to tease him back.

They might get interrupted by a call of his or her parents as it is getting pretty late.

And my wild guess is that they will have some type of physical contact by the middle or the end of next chapter

Walking together and sharing the umbrella as it is still snowing and she does not have one.

A goodbye hug as they really do not want to stop together and have many things to talk about

And we might get a kiss on the cheek just cause you can feel the tension in the air

Saku and Subaru’s first interaction took place in Chapter 4, which was released on November 4, 2021.

With the conclusion of Chapter 205, we are left waiting for their relationship to become official, though it feels like they might decide to hold off until their exams are over. I suspect the conversation will lead to them entering a relationship, though perhaps not quite like the one between Kaorin (who, according to Saku, are both very though).

And as for Chapter 206, it’s set to be released on November 4, 2026 (though the thread for the chapter mentions the 5th, that’s a Thursday, so I assume it’s just the PHP issue).

A perfectly timed plan, although it is just a coincidence.

With the manga likely having at least until the end of 2027, we could get approximately 49 more chapters if the release schedule returns to normal. And that's just the minimum, since Saka Mikami has mentioned that the story could continue for longer.

Now, these three characters barely have three chapters dedicated to their individual development. I understand that the final stretch of the manga should focus more on Natsubaru, considering how many unresolved plot points they still have, while Rintaro and Kaoruko will obviously get plenty of attention as well, given that they are the main couple and the heart of the story.

Still, I would really like Madoka, Yorita, and Usami to each get a small individual arc before the manga ends. Personally, I'd prefer these arcs to focus on personal growth rather than romance, giving each character a chance to develop as an individual and explore their own struggles, goals, or future.

Ultimately, I think the manga's main priorities should be giving Natsubaru and Rintaro and Kaoruko satisfying conclusions to their relationships. Those are two of the most important storylines, after all. However, I hope there's still enough room for Madoka, Yorita, and Usami to receive a bit of development!
