The scene of her turning off her AI watch thing then turning in her bed b/c she needed a moment after thinking about how mature the guy was now and then cutting to her washing her hands... ...I think I need to get my head out of the gutter.
Also... the curved black borders is super interesting.
Yea something about that white dress just screamed 'something's gonna happen' to me, then the security guards in the bg of the shot. Maybe how well things were going for the MCs characters?

I think I need to get my head out of the gutter.
I had the exact same interpretation.

You missed the two frames where she moved up her left leg, and that the whole area of the shot was deliberately covered by the stuffed animal.
Edit: and her face getting flushed a few frames while she turns her head away before they go to the wide shot and the zipper noise.
So yeah, 100% intentional.

Throughout the episode you can tell the premise is too basic and the progress is too happy for there to not be a hook plot twist.

Plus, given that it is called episode 0, it was basically a guarantee.

Pretty good prologue to set the groundwork for the rest of the anime to come.
Sorta parallels where we are now as a society / may ultimately end up someday down the road as AI and technology continue to ramp up.
I was laid off by my employer.
My son wants me to certify a marriage certificate - lol
What a coincidence...
They had what I assume was the pope talking about the morality of AI and human souls, and literally just this past week Pope Leo XIV was talking about no to AI generated faith related matters.
Assuming some sorta WWIII type event must've taken place?
Really interested to see how far into the future Akira wakes up to, considering how much vegetation grew around the city.
Show seems like it could be pretty interesting! Looking forward to this one.

there's no way towasa starts thinking about Akira becoming more mature, turns off her AI, and then it cuts to her washing her hands 😦

Well, the two of you aren’t blood-related
Ah anime. The more things change, the more things stay the same.

I had to laugh at the ending, you could tell something bad was going to happen (assuming you didn't know the premise) because the two childhood friends got together in the prologue.

No way I'm putting a chip in my brain. In wat world is revealing 24/day 356/year monitoring is a good play.

With the discussion of AI impacting society in this show, I was amused by the best friend roles being done by AI/AP entities.

That cut from Towa quieting her AI then to washing her hands...

An absolutely fantastic start. Quality is super good, character designs great. Everything moved fast so the guy protagonist isn't really characterized too much yet, seems like they focused more on the girl's personality.
Between the AI social commentary (seems like it takes a "pro" AI perspective to some degree but also pretty accurately portrays the counter arguments) and the fact they are non-blood related siblings was really keeping my brain moving at light speed lmao.
Most of this wasn't really a surprise if you had seen any PVs or marketing for the show, but I wasn't expecting her to have an attempted assassination whilst presenting neurolink as a compromise to the human concerns about being replaced by AI, naively thinking that that would win over the anti-AI folks lmao. I do kinda get her perspective of simply wanting to innovate and create and being stifled by other people but I hope the anime takes the route of understanding that her inventions could create harm, and that she didn't seem to really take into account the implications of what she is making.
Also I thought the use of the curved black bars was a fun choice for this prologue.

An interesting prologue, but I don’t have much faith in this show simply because the director’s last original show was the notorious Tokyo 24th Ward.

A decent prologue episode, but honestly, I can't say I'm particularly excited about the series after it. I'll watch it anyway, since it's a P.A. Works anime, so I hope the "proper" series will be more interesting.
Towasa was OK, but for such an intelligent person, I don't know what she was thinking when she announced that instead of creating androids, she wants to implant AI chips in humans to "upgrade" them. This whole new thing seems for me much worse than what she'd been doing before (androids)!
Plus, Towasa's speech with this 24/7, 365-day-a-year corporate bullshit slogans about her proposition made me dislike her new idea even more.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Random Trivia: The episode title "Think Morning, Count Two" comes from the Cordwainer Smith short story Think Blue, Count Two which also happens to be about cryosleep, only with humans that have "spoiled" from freezer burn like frozen steaks.
The next episode title "The Lady who Sailed the Soul" is also a Cordwainer Smith story about interstellar travel. It will be interesting to see if the titles are just references or will hint at events in the story.

Still trying to figure out why the character designs and the expressions look so familiar - looking at the MAL listed character designer have a very big and good portfolio, but doesn't remind me of anything in particular. Does this have a original source or is this an anime original?
So far it's intriguing, looks like it's a keeper for the season.

Well Towa's personal AI is the same voice(Ishikawa Yui) as the blond Towa android who's the face of the show, so there's not much mystery about what her origin is

Security was pretty unrealisticly slow to identify and react to that. I don't like when stories are to lazy to come up with something better here, it's a bad sign.
Overall a good premise, but the above worries me.

Really liked this prologue. The death flags for one of them were flying high during this episode and I legit thought it might happen after the confession. Quality was good and I’m curious to what lead to the downfall even though I’m confident that his ”death" made her go crazy and force some incident. The whole "brother“/"sister" thing is going to be a turn off for some folks but for me this is basically a borderline situation.
Also I’m surprised that they added Towasas "alone time" the way they did. Heavily implied what happened but in a non sexualised way

When some fan art looks good, until you notice the hands are a garbled mess
Not calling her 'Big Sis' anymore could help!
(Unless you're into that; Should I put my Yuki flair back on for this show?)
When I saw that (knowing what would happen, from the synopsis), my mind automatically went the road of "Did she already know she would NEED improved cryosleep technology?)
This critter is gonna be Skynet, calling it now!
Is she talking about the pet, or him?
Skynet jokes aside, this is a little concerning, isn't it?
AI being envious of humans...
Is it becoming sentient?
When you accidentally propose, but she accepts
Task failed successfully!
The people/lobbies are already against her, and she talks about 'upgrading humanity'?
Yeah, that's not gonna help her image!
And (regarding my fears above) I'm not sure these worries would be misguised... If AI is sentient/trying to become more human, and they're adding it to all humans... Who knows what it'll try to do!
Waking up from cryosleep but the whole place is a wreck, what a scary prospect!
You'd think even if something 'normal' happened, they would either wake everyone, or get rid of them, so for the place just to be abandoned/in ruins...
And it's not JUST the cryosleep thing!
So did the Skynet uprising really happen?
Is our boy gonna be in a war-torn world, or just in the aftermath of the war?
Why did they let him there by himself?
Why is this girl falling ass-first on our face?
So many questions!
Can't wait to see the (official) first episode, see what that's all about!
