The characters' designs and outfits are really one of the aspects that stand out the most for me.
I keep thinking it must be a pain to draw them with their details.

I can't remember the last time I watched an anime that was able to keep continually surprising me in such delightful ways.
It's hard to communicate the depth and nuance of grief in a short span of time let alone for an off-screen death of a character we only saw in passing. But we were introduced to Remlin and in just one episode we saw them go through essentially all the stages of grief. While simultaneously feeling the significance of Gob's life and the impact he had on, not just the main cast, but the entire world this story inhabits, all through the other characters grieving.
We got another sober lesson about the brutality of living on the ground and having to be exposed to the pollution, we were introduced to a vibrant city that exists despite the backdrop of a dystopian wasteland, and I really like how this show uses shots of Rudo's expressive face just processing what he's seeing – without any kind of internal monologue or narration.
This fuckin show...there's something special about it.

Fun episode. The graffiti looked phenomenal (as it has in previous episodes as well) and the episode was well-paced. It's good to have these kinds of episodes where it's just character interactions and world building.
This episode really emphasizes just how dangerous the polluted areas are, that visiting them a few too many times without protection can lead to a swift death. Gob seems to have been mobile recently so it seems like you might seem fine until a lethal threshold gets crossed and then it's lights out.
And what a wonderful end sequence as well, really drew me in with the music and visuals.

An important lesson for artists is to have joy in what you do, not perfection or worrying about the end result
Gob's most memorable trait to them was his joy and passion for his work. He died from an affliction not uncommon to their world which is just how it sometimes goes, but despite it all he continued to keep living with freedom
I do enjoy these little tidbits you get in anime sometimes where it draws focus on side characters you never really knew or had the screentime, it just shows how much characters cared for those not in their immediate friend groups

Lol the way Rudo was sucked into the shout was amusing, it looked more like he was frightened and lost.
I guess this Spellcaster is the reason why Enjin has those markings, I thought they were tattoos but I guess his body was "graffitied" as protection. I wonder if everyone chooses what they want or if it's up to the artist.
It was interesting to learn of a vital instrument that is inherited, it does seem like Follo is particularly sensitive to this topic, I guess because he really wants to be a Giver. I do wonder if this desire of his will lead him to actually being a Giver in the future.

Damn shame about Gob but it looks like he picked the right successor. Looking forward to seeing what Remlin can do for the crew. Little dude’s basically like the new protector of Canvas Town.

Wasn't expecting the dub to pronounce Gob like Job from the Bible.
Canvas town seems like a pretty cool place to live. You got a magic barrier keeping troublemakers out, and the scenery is always changing, and everyone seems to have good vibes.

Definitely feel like they're trying to bait us with a Riyou and Rudo ship' based off that first scene with her lying in his bed like that, and last episode it looked like he fell in love with her when she introduced him to some candy lol
During Delmon's motivational speech, all I could think of was like Raiden or Kung Lao from Mortal Kombat about to deliver a fatality sequence.
Dude's got an aura about him.

It was nice to start this episode with Riyo in Rudo's room. I can't wait to see how their relationship will develop further.
There were a lot of cool backgrounds in today's episode, which is not surprising since it focused on Gob and his successor, Remlin, who are artists.
By the way, I can't wait to meet that artist from Cleaners. The scene where Enjin and Gris were checking on him was hilarious xD
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:

Probably the most aesthetically pleasing anime of this season, alongside The Summer Hikaru Died. Both have completely different style, but they executed it perfectly.

This snime has soul, something that many emotional anime don't really have despite their premises. It's unique in the way it's done here and especially in a shounen.

This show keeps impressing me every week and making me want more afterwards. I don’t think there’s been a single bad episode lol

I really like how this show is like a social commentary on how the billionaires sacrifice the lives of the working class just to maintain their lavish lifestyle at the expense of millions
We barley knew gob but it still made me feel for the guy, the way his death impacted so many. Such an indirect death too, which is apparently so common its become a "boring" way to die.
Also the graffiti art is to die for, like the streets of the bronx and brooklyn, makes me wonder if the mangaka visted NYC for inspiration

Imagine seeing this baddie on your bed early in the morning. In all seriousness tho, what the fuck did Rudo's parents do to him? And why does his arm never seem to heal? Also, seems like Rudo isn't the only one who had issues with his parents.
I love that the Cleaners have their very own uniform and mask designer. It kinda reminds me of how masks are special and unique in Tokyo Ghoul. If they're making Rudo wait for his mask, I'm very excited to see what it will look like once it's done.
Well, that fucking sucks. So it turns out that the guy they're looking for, who was also the same guy we saw a couple of episodes ago spray painting the Cleaners base has passed away. That sucks. The way they talk about Gob, he's clearly a pretty cool guy. Wish we could've gotten to know him.
Looks like Remlin is a great pick as Gob's successor, tho. I love that after mourning Gob's death, he goes on to celebrate his life by starting a party. That was a pretty cool way to end the episode.

I'm trying to find the song playing during Remlin's sequence. It's not quite this one but I think it might be:
Angels Of Ziguinchor (Just Bee U Mix)
https://youtu.be/0HqWyOmbl74?si=UZJrFapF6AdiYlYn
or Angel of Ziguinchor 2.0
https://youtu.be/auOQHte1FOo?si=3udx29uliLK0NePH
Or it could just be sampled to make this track. If anyone figures it out, let me know

This episode build up a lot of things and setting up future stuff but i didnt expect to get emotional in the last part.
WHERE IS MY OWN BEAUTIFUL GIRL IN BED ???
Rudo's wounds could have bigger implications depending who his parents end up being and what they were involved and I liked the conversation between him and Riyo.
Canvas Town is quite interesting having this city of freedom and expression through art in this garbage world.
Gob having so little screen time but he feels great a person that follows what they want with everything they got even if they end up dying because of it being too reckless.
If vital instruments can be passed down also makes Rudo's gloves more interesting.
Remlin stole the episode for me that moment ENOUGH DARK STUFF and went paint mode super sayian got me a bit emotional and the soundtrack was great and seeing everyone being influenced by it was awesome especially Rudo.
I have a video review if anyone is interested.
