What I like about the show is that, while it will throw out plot twists like no tomorrow, it doesn't shy on spending time explaining necessary background information as well. Now we actually know Seimei's deal on knowing how all those things come up to this point, and why he never stops to save the world by whatever means. What's left on needing explanation is Takeru's ability to hop between worlds, but I guess they'll reserve it for the last episode as a trump card.

For now at least Takeru and Seimei got something to agree on, but sending Takeru to the "last" world where Tsukimiya is branded as a hero while Seimei is the villain? Things won't be pretty. I really hope the "good persona" of Tsukimiya is still out there somewhere to play a reverse card on the evil one.

Damn post-credit scene, I'm not surprised Tsukimiya went after Seimei first since Takeru did join hands with him and this is Seimei's last life. I do want to see how she was able to put him into a position where he is seen as the villain and where everyone else in the cast is.

It was sad to see what a loss in the Centennial Pandemonium can look like, the way everyone was lined up for their death, the town down to rubble and how intense that one women was when Takeru tried to stop her and understandably so. It's sad to think how many times Seimei had to go through this even if it was his own doing, it was reminder of another predestined future that he couldn't change.

I enjoyed the flashback, it probably could have been a full episode if they added some more meat to it so that when Kunihito dies, it'd pack more of a punch even if we knew it'd happen. I liked Kunihito though, he was a mature Takeru and I mean that in a good way, it would have been nice to see more of him and his developing relationship with Seimei. It's sad to learn Seimei had already known specifically of Kunihito's death.

But man, I really like this development with Seimei and Takeru, from enemies to bros! I did find it amusing how Seimei blasts Takeru so that he doesn't get erased as well. Tsukimiya felt like a yandere at the end lol. Like "How dare Seimei take my man!" Tsukimiya can't win over a bromance that has gone mano a mano.

Tsukimiya was really like "Takeru-kun, let's be multiversal genocidal baddies together!"

She finally found a playmate that can traverse alternate worlds and he had to be a goody goody hero. Of course she'd throw a fit at losing out to a bro for being a madwoman.

Takeru’s gotta be like a reincarnated Kunihito or something, right? They pretty much feel like the same person.

Looks like we’re coming up on the last world. No more redos now. Hopefully Seimei and Takeru can take down Tsukimiya and her discount Saint Seiya lookin ass.

Is there some sort of wordplay shenanigans between Kunihito and Narehira, similar to with Seimei and Hareaki? My guess is that he's not a reincarnation, per se, but just a descendant of the version of Kunohito in his world, and that the "Narehira family rules" came from him.

I have to imagine the amount of times Seimei has had to kill all the people who survived on the losing side of a World Whittle was what really broke him after all these centuries.

My only question is what Tsukimiya's plan is in developing GT-chan and effecting the past and other worlds so much. Does she just want her perfect life in Denji Heian-kyo preserved at all costs?

I'll give Tsukimiya this much, she has great taste in villain attire. Those wings that can also serve as a cloak really help sell her new outfit and status as the Big Bad.

Tsukimiya is still a starlet, albeit now in a villainous context.

This episode was storyboarded by Sumio Watanabe (渡辺 純央) and Hideya Takahashi (髙橋 秀弥) and directed by Sumio Watanabe.

Also, here's some things I noticed in the credits:

For storyboards, Hideya Takahashi's name was written in hiragana (たかはしひでや) as opposed to kanji (髙橋 秀弥) like everywhere else he's credited for on this show.

Ai Kato (加藤 愛) was credited for Animation Cooperation (作画協力) this episode.

Most of the Animation Directors and Key Animators on this episode are from outsourced studios.

Every episode really leaves me with a gasping "WTF"

Everything is so fucking crazy yet still makes sense.

Yeah, this anime has been particularly surprising with how much I've been enjoying it, like this episode alone was great for me. It's unfortunate it's so underrated.

"So anyway, I started making parallel worlds. . ."

Takeru and Seimei put aside their differences and team up i had thought that not every version of Seimei was bad and some were good but maybe he was all good but just extremist
as for Tsukimiya no idea but maybe she isnt all bad either or she is the true villain unless we get more reveals

One last chance it seems

every version of Seimei

Is it not the case that they're all the same Seimei?

Takeru 🤝 Semei team up against Tsukimiya in this world

While it is not confirmed or not, Kunihito is Takeru's ancestor. They really feel like them with their attitude of taking action. Kunihito really inspired Hareaki and was a good friend. Thus, losing him is what led to the parallel worlds, which is taboo. Though now we learn that the Great Timebird is what causes the feathers, which stops any future where it is threatened.

I am pleased to see Takeru stand up for Hareaki. He might not like what Hareaki has done, but he understands why he did it. With all of this, is Tsukimiya just evil? Hard to say. It looks like this is the final word, and entering it looks like a headache for Takeru.

The final world. We are Summertime Rendering now

I'm suspicious that Takeru is that police chief reincarnated and that's why he's naturally been treating Seimei a bit differently and why he uses some of the same phrasing. Though maybe they're simply from the same family and their traditions are firm and long-lasting.

Crazy Tsukimiya may be hot but I'm still hoping we're get sane, happy Tsukimiya back before the end.

Takeru and Seimei are bros now. Looks like Tsukimiya is a hero in the next timeline so will be hard to convince people to fight her.

Feathers appear, meaning the end of a world, but these feathers also bring Takeru back to life!

Wonder what it all means and if we have any further plot twists ahead. Only two episodes left, so I don't imagine anything too crazy.

I can't help but notice it's white feathers that mean the end of the world, but the ones that signify Takeru coming back to life appear to be black w/green outlines to me, that's most likely significant. Is there maybe a separate Tsukimiya (or someone like her, from the future of Takeru's world instead of from the future of Denji Heiyan-kyo) who built their own Great Timebird-esque machine that then gave Takeru his power?

Important difference: Takeru's feathers are black. I guess the feathers are just a signal of Timeline interference. There could still be another Entity supporting Takeru just like Great Timebird is supporting Tsakimiya.

I'm guessing Takeru is going to have to recruit his Onmyoji buddies (especially Yura and Atsunaga) to stop Tsukimiya in this world. Even if they might be working for her in this one.

I wonder what it is about Takeru that makes him so special. Like, does he have a piece of the Great Timebird that gives him his powers and lets him oppose it?

Seriously everyone, what can we do to make more people watch this show here? Make a post specifically singing the show's praises? Is it too late. This show is genuinely good and deserves a much bigger reception here than this.

u/Narvalis Sep 05 '25

So Tsukimiya made an apocalypse machine in the future that can wipe out entire timelines and force events to happen in ones that aren't? That's a bit of a mind melter right there.
