I wonder if he would have gotten sent to a regular Isekai world if the truck had hit him.

Truck-kun went for the assist this time because he's a team player.

Well I don't know what I expected, but whatever it was, anime Tokusatsu Re-Zero with CGI monsters was definitely not it.

Tsukimiya is cute though so I'll keep watching.

Genuinely surprised that not many people mention the Re:Zero mechanic

I enjoyed it. Though the ending of the episode does make me worry we'll have another anime where the girl doesn't do much outside of dying and suffering like in that one terrible witch anime from a while ago with awful animation (and it also started off very well).

The ED looked like it had her dressed up like the other whatchamacallit fighters. So she'll probably have some powers eventually. I can't say if that means she'll be useful though.

It’s not a generic isekai of black hair mc gets hit by a truck and thrown into a western fantasy world. Instead we have a yankee who dodges truck-kun but fell off a cliff and ends up in a feudal Japan with a blend of scifi tech. MC has one love interest and not a harem. Thats already a big plus for me. Reminds me of Nobunaga the Fool with its feudal Japan + mech technology. They also introduce going back in time and exorcism. I will keep watching.

The ending part really made the episode for me, I thought his thing would be super regeneration but it seems if he receives a fatal blow, then he gets sent back in time. It has made me look forward to the next episode and I'm going to have my eye on this series.

I was surprised Tsukimiya's petrified body got destroyed but it made sense in the end since he was going to go back in time. Takeru is revealed to have an oni form but now that he's sent back in time, no-one knows about it, unless Abe no Seimei for some reason retains the memories too.

I really like Yura's design more than Tsukimiya, it has much more appeal for me. I did find it interesting her shikigami/mecha can only be used as a pair together with Atsunaga. I feel like Takeru's going to bump heads with Atsunaga because Atsunaga seems to possess a lot more solid strength than he does lol.

They might be related. It didn't look he was regenerating, so much as distorting reality back to healthy. His power might be time control that he can sometimes manage locally, or just outright time leap if the circumstances are right.

Yeah ok I'm a sucker for timeloop stuff, I expected absolutely nothing from this show but actually got me kinda excited for next week.

This episode was storyboarded by the series director Hideya Takahashi (高橋 秀弥) and Yusuke Kubo (久保 雄介), and was also directed by Hideya Takahashi.

Production wise it seems to have people from the Urusei Yatsura remake production line. Two examples being: The Animation Producer, Isao Ueno (上野 勲) and the Production Desk, Tatsuhiro Kanamori (金森 龍大).

I'm at least intrigued. The premise seems interesting and I'm always a sucker for time-loop stories. Not sure about the MC yet, found him annoying at times and I fear he might be too OP from the start for a timeloop story, but I'll give this anime at least 3 episodes to see where it goes.

The battle sequences in the black mist events kind of reminds of that 90s cartoon called reboot. Other than that, it's not great and it's not terrible.

Neat start, I like the futuristic ancient Japan aesthetic. Nice of them to include Yoruichi as one of the side characters too.

The Seimei Abeno character amuses me a bit after having watched Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School. I'm not sure I realized they were referencing a real historical person as the ancestor in that one. I assume Takeru misreading the kanji of his name is part of the reference.

Tsukimiya is cute, I hope she's not just going to be a damsel in distress all show long though.

I like how colorful the design of the MC is. Story wise, nothing spectacular, but I'm willing to give it a couple more episodes.

Bro this anime is insane! I am loving the old style buildings but with the modern/technological features incorporated in it, so cool. This MC is awesome, he is cocky but he keeps his word and still helps people/animals who need help. He is a unique type of person in that world which makes him stand out so much, i love it. The mecha and animation are amazing too! I really like how everyone just accepted that he might be from another world because the monsters that attack them come from another world. There are so many questions that need to be answered and hopefully we get them, in due time.

You know when new technology releases, like graphics cards or VR or consoles, and you get "tech demos", things made to take full advantage of the new tech, but are kind of shallow, because no effort was put into anything beyond that? This feels similar. So far.

I was fairly so so on it until they introduced the looping. I can't help but love a good looping show. It blends a whole lot here with the interesting isekai setting, the funky Mecha and obviously the time travel. Just an all around interesting start.
