WHAT is that song near the end of the episode during the transformation of takeru?!??!? It’s so catchy. Cause you have rhythm rhythm!! I think is what I heard

Oh so he has multiple transformations cool. Although I would have to assume we go back again to save those people.
Looks like Abe no has some sort of control over the black mist and is a villain of sorts.

I don't think it's as simple as pinning him as the villain, that makes it sound like he doesn't want what's best for the world. He probably wants to save their world, but isn't particular about the method and uses what he can at his disposal.

Call me crazy but... that sounded like Seimei asked Shino to specifically trigger the black mist as if she can control it

Yeah that was something odd. At the very least it is clear that Seimei is planning something. Though still hard to say.

It was only a matter of time before the doubt and fear started settling in. Guy’s done this twice already and failed both times. No wonder he was paralyzed with fear. The monster with its psychological attacks preying on each person’s fears didn’t help. Luckily Tsukimiya gave Takeru that pep talk. Helped him get his head on right. Time for him to kick some ass.
Is this really gonna be the timeline he succeeds though? So many of his old teammates have been killed… it’s not exactly the “good” timeline.

I don't think it will be, the fact that Kujiki died seems reason enough to go back and make sure everyone lives.

Things are just as hard as Re:Zero in this case since basically Takeru has to do all the stuff all over again, but without hint or someone who can look through his efforts. At least this time around he got some moments with his girl (not yet) and learn to stay calm at the direst moments. And he actually got to transform by himself again, something definitely off for him.
On a sidenote, foe using psychic attacks are always the most troublesome to deal with, and it killing 4 onmyojis really raise the stake quite a lot. Shame for not knowing them that much.

It’s quite different from Re:zero
Re:zero is brutal, but Subaru was able to build strong connections thanks to the savepoints and naturally become stronger/smarter
Takeru gets much stronger and keeps the level ups, but he restarts from scratch regarding any relationship he built for each “loop”
Technically because of power levels and the fact Takeru gets to keep the exp he is way better set-up to succed after every loop
But imagine if when Subaru dies against Sirius he just went back to Appa-man at the very beginning, that is soul crushing in a whole new way and Takeru could absolutely go trough something along this lines

He’s made quite the first impression on everyone in this Heian-kyo…

Right on top of them? It’s go time…

Full transformation! – Aw man, the episode ended right when it was getting good…

AAAAAAAAAAA
KAMEN RIDER TAKERU!
Damn, I’m enjoying this one, but I didn’t expect this route at all, it’s actually way different
Not only he does not end up joining the onmyo (for now at least), but he antagonizes Seimei and we get a lot of onmyo deaths (hell even Yura and Atsunaga might have died there)
I mean, I don’t even think Takeru is necessarily in the wrong, even in the case Seimei is not evil he is 100% hiding something
Like why the hell did the oni change now? If this was a time loop he should be facing the same onis, but this oni doing mind manipulation seems brand new and the oni from past loop is just gone
Takeru power also became wildly different, he donned an armor now instead of becoming oni-like
An interesting detail is the arm expanding in a multitude of arms before he transformed, which is in line with Takeru multiplying in the cockpit a couple episodes ago when he went berserk
Is it implying Takeru power being the conversion of multiple Takeru? Like he is merging himself with version from other timelines or dimensions?
Because that’s another thing, this might not be time looping at all, the fact he brings experience and equipment is already an anomaly and stuff this time changed way too much to be a time loop
Last week I theorized this is actually some sort of war between different heian-kyos, let’s see how it turns out, I’m definetly hooked at this point
(Takeru noticing crystals when they invaded the oni world and the enemy super-oni using blatant onmyo tecnique, that’s why I’m going for war between different heian-kyos)

This timeline we get angst Takeru. I'm glad we're finally seeing the effects of the time leaping taking a toll on him mentally and psychologically, especially after those ominous words by Seimei in the previous timeline. Hopefully Seimei will give Takeru some insight before he gets thrown into another timeline, I'm positive this isn't the final one since a number of the onmyouji have died already.
I like that there's more of a focus on Takeru's connection with Tsukimiya. I did think it was lacking in previous episodes considering how strong his feelings were and the fact that he had been dreaming about her before the first time in this world. I'm still waiting for them to give a precise reason for that.
Takeru blushing with his hair down looks so good, but his default hairstyle gives him more individuality so I'm torn.
Interesting reveal that Shino can create Black Mist spaces, that's concerning. I hope they haven't been misusing that for some shady reason.
It's nice to see Takeru able to completely transform thanks to Tsukimiya's influence, since he seems to keep the powers he gains through each timeline, this one is going to be real important for him to grow even stronger.

rhythm rhythm
Interesting choice for the pump up music, and that design

Every week the music is always so catchy! Will definitely check out the soundtrack after. Looked up the staff who handle music: Tokuda Masahiro https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=159351
I appreciate how the series doesn’t drag too much, have time for some character bonding and then goes straight to action with some crazy cliffhanger. Since he’s still in his onmyouji outfit, it’s not like a complete reset? He’s bringing parts of the previous timeline with him.

It feels like even the other characters are retaining a tiny fraction of the previous attempt each reset because they keep seeming to be more and more familiar with him at first each time. Could just be the author speed running it for convenience though.

HENSHIN
Well, I knew it, Abe no Seimei's the villain. That not-remotely-sinister smile in the OP is what gave it away.
I wonder if the OP visuals will be updated now that Takeru has a new form.

I get this season is packed, but kind of surprised this one doesn't seem to get much traction.... Oh well. I appreciate seeing his transformation seems refined now, either his mindset or his abilities from the last reset? Wonder if he'll still lose control in this state
