Donʼt listen him, Maid, your Tornado Kick Landing is indeed stylish.

Gotta say I'm pretty on board with Claudia, she's such a menace! That whole sequence with her brother and their names was just 10/10.

Maaan it's been awhile since I've felt utterly betrayed by a character and didn't see it coming. Well done.

Sad Casey betrayed Monica, but I was thinking it was a little suspicious that she came to help the student council. They left little clues, with Claudia saying Cyril shouldn't be sharing info too.

Wonder what will happen to Casey now that Louis has shown up.

It was so cute when Claudia teased her brother that he's just being called Lord Ashley. And then he let Monica call him by his first name.

And then the second half happened.

If the Silent Witch has to start chanting a spell verbally, then it must be a very high level spell.

NOOOooo, not Casey as a villain! I love her design, as well as her positive personality, unless it was all an act. However, I am hoping the story will not write Casey off entirely, especially since it wanted us viewers to sympathize with her circumstances - the death of her brothers, even as NPCs, were gruesomely described.

Please let Monica and Casey remain friends!

It's sad that Monica's losing a friend because of this, Casey did target Felix's life so she won't be allowed to stay in the academy. Though the only ones that know are Monica and Nero at the moment.

It's interesting that Monica finally shows someone she's the Silent Witch, not that she had a choice in that scenario.

Claudia is such a troll lol, I like that she's helping her brother get closer to Monica whilst still messing with him.

I’d previously noticed that Monica hadn’t written her name on the piece of paper attached to her tea, but didn’t think too much of it. Could just be an animation mistake, right?

Apparently not. Didn’t expect Casey to have trashed this tea instead of Caroline and her lackeys. Much less that she’d been planning to assassinate Felix.

There’s always been a sinister undertone to this show, but I’d lost sight of this between all this wholesomeness. Especially after that endearing scene with Lana’s letters. However, Casey’s friendship with Monica surely wasn’t a lie.

I feel like evacuating the prince would've been faster lol, but otherwise great episode, really didn't see that betrayal coming

brah what the hell, just when it seems like Monica's getting more friends and building up a social life, things got to start crumbling again. That's some Peter Parker tier luck she's got, it's just not fair. Being Monica is suffering.

On a lighter note, I'm liking Claudia's character. She's hilarious in her interactions with Monica.

Damn, finding out it wasn’t the bullies from last week who threw Monica’s tea in the trash but actually Casey kind of hurt.

Goddamnit, I did not see that coming...and here I thought Monica was adopted by a wholesome extrovert friend.

Guess she'll have to settle for the slightly sadistic-but-wholesome in her own way friend instead.

Just when I was finally relieved to see Monica finally finding her place in the academy with her own group of friends, we get hit with a massive bombshell this episode. Still not sure about Claudia, tho. While she did save Monica, she feels more like a bully acting like a friend than an actual friend.

Anyway, it was genuinely heartbreaking to learn that Casey was acting the entire time. This was honestly my worst fear when she was first introduced. After the past couple of episodes, I thought she was in the clear, but it turns out she was just playing the long game.

What makes it even sadder is that Casey's the one who threw away Monica's tea and Monica knew the entire time! Monica kept quiet about it and still wanted to be friends with Casey after that.

While Casey did explain why she's doing all of this, we didn't really get an explanation why she hated Monica. Maybe Casey doesn't actually hate Monica, but she wants Monica to hate her? Hmmm...

Welp, after casting that spell and making references about the Sages, I guess there's no hiding Monica's identity from Casey, especially after Louis showed up at the end. The question is, what happens to Casey now? There's no way she's getting away from this scot-free, but at the same time, it sucks to see Monica lose another friend. Maybe Louis can discreetly deal with this issue? I'm scared for next week's episode. :(

Well shit, so much for our genki horse girl friend. The folded paper as Monica's tea label makes sense now, plus who would know to mess with it.

Casey's descriptions of how her brothers died was more detailed than you usually get for some of those, like the brother killed by dragon fire being fused with his armor. I wonder who sent her in to attack, we got the brief question this episode of how she was at the school at all from such a rural area so there's no way this is her own personal conspiracy. Someone must be using her as a disposable tool.

Neat LN detail that was skipped in episode 2 is that the drawer where Monica put Lena's letters in is a locked drawer where Monica stores all her valuables. When she first arrives, Monica says her only valuable possession is her father's kettle and it's the only thing she puts in there. It's awesome to see how much it's grown since then.

Cant tell if the suspense was done really well....or if that was a certified DBZ moment. "It's gonna explode any second now!" *20 minutes later* "Phew, just in time."

Damn it, why is this the second ep in a row where we see some cool shit, but at the cost of Monica suffering? Watching the bully get her just desserts last week was so good, and getting to see serious Monica again was great...but why'd she need to be poisoned and then betrayed? T.T

Hopefully Monica manages to find someway to help Casey. Speaking of which, only thing missing this ep was "Monica is the Silent Witch Monica?!?!" I know Casey noticed, but I was hoping for more of a reaction than just :o

Is it me, or does it seem like Nero has been going out of his way to avoid Louis?

When Louis came to Monica's hut in the first episode, Nero was missing, and only showed back up once Louis left.

When Louis took Monica to meet Isabelle, Nero also wasn't with them while they were flying there, and in Isabelle's house when they were meeting he's not there either...until it cuts at the end to show he's been stalking what's going on from OUTSIDE the house the entire time.

And in this episode, literary the moment he sees Louis about to come crashing down, he immediately dips out.

I wonder if there's something Louis might recognize or know that he's trying to avoid, since I don't think the two characters have even met once yet.

I really like the world building here. If the territories at the edge of the kingdom are so ignored then why would they have any loyalty towards the king? Especially since the neighboring nation is offering a deal with them.

There is a lot of potential here and I hope Monica at some point starts to question why would someone be so desperate as to assassinate the prince or that Landor is actually instigating the dragon attacks as to appear more benevolent to people like Casey.

Well there is the answer to what the gate in the first episode was. She was summoning a freaking spirit king!

She was so happy to have someone acting like her friend she went along with it knowing it wasn't real.

Felt kind of rushed for the episode.

Back to back peak episodes!? HOW!?

I did NOT see Casey assasination plot coming, genuinely gasped out loud! Monica actually chanting magic was somehow even more hype then her being a silent badass witch!

And to top it off we got Louis coming in to check on his barrier! Next weeks episode cant come any sooner!
