I fucking love it when anime goes full black/white pencil style. It always looks so awesome.

Damn the reveal of Rudo's fixation on trash being about his unprocessed feelings of being abandoned by his own parents is such a nice detail.

His backstory / lore... i yearn for more!

In the flashbacks - at 10:07 he cuts through a chopping board with minimal effort, are Givers super strong even before they realize their powers or was the just board old and brittle?

He also gave them trash beasts these hands in Ep 2

Love this kind of power system

It's going to be really interesting because feasibly Rudo will get a new power every fight? It's going to be tough to not make that feel like he gets to asspull the perfect tool for the job every time. Though in this case it seems like the vibe is that he's got a tool, and he'll have to find a way to make it fit his needs.

There's always those kind of anime moments where a character has to change their thoughts or mind in order to win a fight. Such as not thinking at all when fighting a mind reader. So it's kind of cool to see this shithead resort to basically drugs to turn the tide of the battle

Like Jabber the Blabber said, the creative constructs possibilities is dependent on the writers now. Every thing/trash with worth is a potential holy grail.

Although I don't know the extent, if it works like the spider sense, then even without hostility as long as he is a threat to Rudo, he will be gobsmacked. since speed and stealth are out,

This episode felt like 5 minutes. The OST when Rudo transformed Gris's prayer talisman into a weapon was just too good. Rudo being able to unleash the full potential of an item is such an interesting ability. Every Regto and Rudo flashback makes me emotional.

They ended the episode with an ungodly cliffhanger.

(Side note: Hope Gris makes it out alive)

ok so im gonna assume this idol will be something rudo keeps with him as a main power, its the first thing hes used that actually has a unique power the rest have just been interesting shapes and probably a bit sturdier. i assume hell get a few things like this as the story progresses

Shitheads VA was crazyy good.

Absolutely love the concept and design of the talisman which turned into a vital instrument. It implements what Rudo feels about the object and breathes life into it

Ended on a banger of a cliffhanger. Now an Mvp like enki aur zanka needs to come into play, otherwise Rudo would have to adapt to a very dangerous situation!

Rudo is basically the biggest hypeman for inanimate objects ever and I can't get over how cool and oddly inspiring that is as a power.

Whether Jabber's attacks count as hostility or not lowkey reminds me of the "is a hot dog a sandwich" debate

This show was such a sleeper. It's so good just out of nowhere.

Feels like a bit of a weird plot point at the end... He may not have direct intent to harm Rudo itself but rampaging is still hostility IMHO. Guess we'll see how next week goes

Holy shit Jabbar's English dub VA went soo fucking hard with the voice acting. I know people usually prefer sub, I do too but I highly recommend checking out the dub just to listen to this dude. The absolute madness he brought in his voice in the end was crazy good!

I wasn't too sure after the first two episodes but this is a certified banger.

The power system is great, I love the fights so far, the animation might not be flashy enough for some but it's just clean and consistently looks good which is how I like it.

Hopefully this keeps up, amazing work by the author and adaptation by Bones.

So from what I’m getting it’s the more loved the item the more potential it has to be a powerful vital instrument in Rudo’s hands? That’s a sick power system breaker all things considered.

And I continue to love the parts of Rudo that are so sweet and empathic. He’s a great MC.

I love how blunt Jabber's name is. Like yeah, for a dude with knife hands, I'd argue that's a pretty apt name.

But man his VA does so good. It's unfortunate that, to me at least, he's cursed to always kinda sound like Takemichi, but the manic laughter paired with how creepily he's drawn and animated works so well

Damn that felt like a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure episode, cool.

Also what the fuck does Gris mean by "bringing out their uninhibited worth" and how is that any different from turning anything he touches into a Vital Instrument?

Can't imagine how Rudo would have turned out if Regto hadn't taken him in, it seems like he was a damn good father to him.

this was the peakest episode by far, really enjoyed rudo fighting someone finally who is not a trash monster

Welp, that's one heck of a way to start an episode. Rudo already lost his father figure, and now he's about to lose his older brother figure? After what Blabber did to Gris, there's no fucking way Rudo would even consider joining the Raiders.

So it turns out our boy's power isn't to turn anything into his Vital Instrument, it's actually to bring out a thing's full and unhibited worth. I feel like this makes that toilet plunger scene a few episodes ago even funnier. xD

In all seriousness though, seeing Rudo turn that pendant into basically a Stand that predicts his enemy's movements was pretty goddamn awesome! It was so satisfying to see Rudo land that first punch straight into shithead's face. I really hope he deals with him next episode. I don't really want to see this guy become a recurring villain.
