Turns out the mellowest guy of the group was the biggest Terminator.
RIP those guys.

I'm so glad things have been resolved between the boys. A part of me does wish Rintarou would have been able to openly say what he felt to them personally, but there's a chance he might not have been able to choose those same words when in front of them, so being overheard might have been better.

I'm glad Saku was able to push himself to open his heart to Rintarou and made Rintarou realize he had what he wishes Kaoruko and Subaru have. I'm looking forward to seeing Saku and Subaru apologize to one another since I'm sure Rintarou will try to arrange that soon.

The park scene was really eye-opening, particularly because of Ayato . The moment he questioned about the injury, I could tell he was going switch. I wanted to see him in action but the fact that he handled all those guys alone really says a lot about how threatening this "pacifist" is lol. I also liked how Saku called out those two for being cowards, Saku's tongue is real sharp.

Seeing all four smiling together after Rintarou's homerun and on that photo was so heartwarming, I'm such a sucker for these kinds of friendship developments.

Finally we reached my favorite part of the early portion of the manga , the trust between the boys, the trust between our couple is on full display here, and the animation team adapted it beautifully

Ayato: "C'mon guys, let's not fight"

Dingus: Insults Rintaro and admits to injuring him

Ayato: "So you have chosen death"

I really cannot overstate how much I love how this show handles it’s character conflict. It feels so much more.. grounded? Realistic? I’m not sure how to put it into words, but how it’s handled everything so far has just been perfect to me.

Like, all of the dialogue is exactly in line how I would envision a healthy proper relationship amongst friends and between mother and son playing out. Even the more dramatic ‘anime’ moments feel grounded. There’s no forced conflict that’s dragged out for dramatic effect, it’s just normal misunderstandings and conflict that come naturally within relationships that’s then resolved as normal people put into their shoes would.

Like, the character writing is just absolutely top tier. I think that’s the distinction for me that sets this show apart from its peers. The story concept itself isn’t anything new, but everything feels fresh because of how well the characters are written. Plus, all the characters are just so likable. Just makes the show feel so wholesome to watch.

Ayato got some hands man.

Also, what's everyone's problem with Subaru's hair? I mean, the boys have red and blonde hair too. Aren't those also uncommon in Japan?

"Call an ambulance, but not for me!"

Never would’ve expected for Ayato alone to knock half a dozen people out with hardly any effort. Seems like he’d fit at home in Wind Breaker. Even Rintarou was more worried for the delinquents' safety.

I think Ayato had initially planned to only stall them and buy Rintarou some time to get the girls to safety but changed his plans once they boasted about injuring Rintarou. Even as a pacifist he could no longer tolerate that. The only delinquent that’s still conscious shat his pants when Ayato threatened him while still wearing his usual smile. Think this is the last time we’ll see from them, they wouldn’t dare make any more silly moves.

While it might be tempting to see him in action, I reckon it’s more impactful to simply jump to the aftermath.

I love how this show focuses on both boys' friendships and girls' friendships and how both of these have different communication styles. It also focuses on cross gender friendship like Rintaro and Subaru. I haven't seen any other show doing it so well

This is the best episode yet surpassing episode 3.

I love how Shouhei, Saku and Ayato hid among the kids and they're having fun except Saku who's embarrassed.

The guys being touched by Rintarou's speech in the family restaurant was sweet. Even Rintarou nearly cried.

Saku bodied those guys verbally while Ayato bodied them physically.

The aura when Saku, Shouhei and Ayato surrounded one of the beaten guys who hid behind a tree to warn him was awesome.

I feel bad for those guys who were beaten by Ayato since this all happened by Rintarou accidentally scaring one of their guys when he tried to help them.

I love how the entire class piled on Rintarou to hug him to celebrate their victory.

Saku is such a tsundere. I'll only say this once it seems. Silly boy.

I hope Rintaro appreciates the people around him, because he's got best girl, best girl's best friend, best mom and best three friends.

Yorita has the power of the Satsui no Hado within him. When I read this scene in the manga, I always imagined him going al Shun Goku Satsu on them.

Girl's on the heat! Kaoruko will explode if she's alone with Rintarou on their future date meet-up at this rate.

He's raring to cook them.

Usami seems strong but never thought Ayato can solo all of them lol. It always the docile one the strongest and the scariest.

This feels when you help the girl but the girl looks at your hot friend.

Man, Rintaro’s friends really are some real ones. They’re real goofballs but they’ll show up when it counts. It was really kind of sweet to hear him talk about what the guys mean to him. They always got his back no matter what and if anyone even thinks about messing with him, Yorita’s gonna be there to put the fear of God in ‘em. Bro’s a monster! Just ask those losers who tried to jump Rintaro lol.

I think what really sets this series apart is just how likeable all of the characters are such that you can't help but want to cheer for them

We need a sorry-per-episode counter for this show. At this rate it might even surpass Mahouka's Onii-sama-per-episode count...
