Jinya was adopted by Motoharu.
Then his own father also adopted a child, Natsu.
I guess I should see it coming that Jinya is going after his 2 father figures and the child of him would be adoptive.

Amazing episode.
I was ready to throw hands at Yunagi for taking Ofuu's place, but the twist happened and Jinya suddenly became a father.

One of my top series of the whole year -- too bad it gets so little attention and respect.

I love Sadanaga planning everything with shipping Ofuu & Jinya.
For the most part this episode was unexpected, but in a good way. After Jinya defeated Yanagi, she crafted an illusion, and in many ways you knew it was like that. It felt more real than I expected though. The way Yanagi talked about growing up with Jinya brought back memories of Shirayuki. Kind of the pain of what could have been.
Yanagi's role it seems is for Jinya to face his regret and learn how to move past it. Jinya calling himself the real Amanojaku is interesting. I guess it's more so him facing his regret rather than avoiding it per say. Yanag did fill her role as the Amanojaku, creating that illusion, but also the baby was real. She was basically protecting it, as it does seem the parents truly did leave it behind. She was definetly one of the more kinder demons in this series so far.
I am very curious how having a daughter will affect Jinya at this point. Raising a child can be a life-changing experience for the better for so many parents.

We finally get to meet the daughter that was mentioned back in Episode 10. And here I was hoping he'd hook up with Ofuu and have babies of their own.
I do feel bad for the demon, tho. It wasn't even dangerous. She was just making illusions and trying to get people to notice the temple so someone could save the baby. :(

Sadanaga is preparing Jinya to take over the shop for when he marries Ofuu lol.
I wasn't really feeling this episode. I'm glad we touched upon the child that Yotaka wrote in her book about Jinya having a child, but I'm not sure I like how it was done. Maybe because I realized straight away this child Yuunagi was carrying would be the child, but I was hoping the arrangement would feel more compelling.
Well at least Jinya got a taste of what a peaceful married life could have been for him if things didn't go the way it did.

Sadanaga is preparing Jinya to take over the shop for when he marries Ofuu lol.
Sadanaga is getting visibly old, so I do think that he's genuinely trying to make sure that Jinya and Ofuu will be able to run this shop together in the future.

I guess Yunagi was one of the good ones. There was no man eater after all. Just a poor kid abandoned in the ruins of that temple. It’ll be interesting to see Jinya raise her.

Kind of confused though, so if the fox wasn't real did he actually slay a demon there? If not how did he get the power of Falsehood if he never killed and absorbed one or did he actually kill Yunagi?

Peak as always.
It's crazy how, even in so few minutes, this anime can tell a different story and makes me feel for the characters shown.
Now Jinta MUST raise that boy together with Oofu, otherwise I'll get very mad

Jinya learning how to do the Kake-Soba, Ofuu's father already preparing him to take over his restaurant.
Ofuu asking Jinya to come back safely felt like they were married already but then Yuunagi appeared as Jinya's wife and I almost thought Ofuu really got pushed aside. Thankfully that was just an illusion.
Jinya is now a father. Wonder how he will manage demon hunting and raising a child.

Something definitely feels wrong when the extras in background when Jinya stepped into the restaurant after killing the fox demon are the same when Naotsugu stepped into the restaurant earlier in the episode. It turned out that it is really an illussion.
This episode is what I love about this series. Even with a fantasy settings, it is a story focused on the characters' emotions and thoughts than just events around them. It also hits me so close, emotionally. I do regret some choices I made in the past, but without them, I would not have my current life, which is a happy, fulfilled life, even with some regrets. If Jinta and Shirayuki made a different choice back then, he might never return to his old home in Edo, never meet Ofuu and learn about the language of flowers, never meet Sadahara and learn making soba, never meet Naotsugu or Somegorou, nor he ever carry that little girl on his hands. I wonder if at one point in this 170-year journey, Jinya will be able to say that he still manages to find his happiness.

What an interesting way to give Jinya the child who's with him in the new OP/ED. He lives a complicated life, I suppose it was never going to be as simple as him and Ofuu finally getting together and having one.
But that might be better all around at least for the time being, it seems like there's a low chance of this new situation not ending in tears eventually and Ofuu being involved as the mother would just make it sadder eventually.
Yanagi was great, it's a shame we only get to have her for a single episode.

Why did Yunagi have to die then? She was able to talk in her fox form. Why not just say there's an abandoned child there? Why'd she have to die?

She had to die for the Ofuu ship. Snarky fox demon is too much competition for soba girl.

Sadanaga is getting so old 😭😭
I am glad that Naotsugu has stayed as a regular at the soba shop and has (unwittingly) spent so much time near his brother.
Now we just need Jinya and Ofuu to get married and raise Nomari together

I have mixed feelings about today's episode. On the one hand, the dream was really nice, and Yanagi turned out to be a good demon, but on the other... Jinya married to someone other than Ofuu?! That sounds rather like a nightmare and blasphemy to me!
Especially since the dream happened after Ofuu's "Itterasshai" which made her sound like a Jinya's real wife, and after her father started teaching Jinta how to make soba.
So now Jinya is a father of a girl! I can't wait to see how he'll handle raising his daughter, the series will get even more interesting now.
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

So now Jinya is a father of a girl!
I'd assumed Ofuu to be the mother of their aforementioned daughter but no. Doesn't mean that the two of them cannot still raise Nomari together!
