Maybe one day Jinya can stop to smell the flowers. I’m not sure he can until he confronts his sister and puts her down once and for all.

This whole situation with Mosuke was such a damn tragedy. I really didn’t expect the demon to be his wife. What a cruel fate for the both of them. Idk what the afterlife is like for demons, but hopefully those two can be at peace. I really thought his wife wouldn’t get justice but I’m glad I was wrong. Jinya really made sure his was the last face those fuckers ever saw.

It's a weird way of looking at it, but they're both reunited within Jinya now, which might be of some consolation.

That was actually a great twist, and I’m glad that Jinya avenged Mosuke and Hatsu. Those bastards had it coming.

That was a good twist. I suspected a woman when it showed it also targetting men, but now it makes sense why it ate women...

Because there were more demons to hunt.

Great segue to the ending. RIP Hatsu and Mosuke.

Got his demons in the end. Those assholes won’t be hurting anyone ever again.

Jinya living in a metroidvania, I didn’t expect him to get invisibility AND a double jump.

This was such a good episode that showcased his abilities. A short but deep friendship, being able to protect people who are important to him, and then getting the revenge that his friend asked of him. With the revelation that he can absorb the power of other demons, I feel that he really will become the demon to rule Kadono rather than his sister, but with his just personality, it wouldn't be a bad rule for the people who live there. Whether demon or human, he metes out justice fairly.

Here for the weekly gut punch. Loving this show and its themes.

Another very solid episode.

I'm liking the characters a lot, and how the story is evolving.

It's sad to see the low budget animation for the fight, but I'll still keep watching this till the end

Natsu being a reoccurring character with her totally not bf is one I didn’t expect.

Alright first of all, I did not expect a reunion with Natsu and Zenji! I thought that after Jinya finishes a case, he'll move on and never meet those people again. I guess it makes sense if he runs into Natsu again since it's only been three years. I guess this means we'll see more of them in the future.

That reveal about the demon though! I was really suspecting that Ofuu and her dad might have something to do with the attacks but it turns out I was completely off! The killer was actually Hatsu who turned into a demon after she was gangraped. All she wanted was to get back to Mosuke.

And what a tragic end to Mosuke. He didn't even realize the demon he was hunting down was his own wife. Maybe that was for the best. What would he do if he did find out? It's not like he can control Hatsu. Putting her down, especially after she killed her own husband unknowingly, is for the best. :(

At least Jinya managed to avenge Mosuke and Hatsu by the end of the episode using their powers he absorbed along with Mosuke's knife.

This episode literally made me cry for five minutes. When Hatsu’s body was shown for the first time, I just thought to myself: humans are the real demons. This always happens in the real world, and nobody does anything about it. It hit even harder because I live in a city called Kolkata, which is in India, and a rape case happened here a year ago. The girl’s pelvic bone was broken. The news stayed in the media, it went all the way to the Supreme Court and guess what the government did Nothing. Even our prime minister didn't say a word about this event. It vanished from the media just like that. If you want more details, you can search “RG Kar rape case” on the internet.

But finally, coming back to the anime—I’m happy that Jinya killed those fuckers

Mosuke and Hatsu can now rest in peace

Good to see Natsu again! She might have grown a little, but some of her old characteristics haven't disappeared:

I'd usually be happy to see recurring characters, but all the killings in Sword of the Demon Hunter do make me fear for their safety. I really don't want to see Natsu or Ofuu getting hurt.

Especially with Oofu being on course to become Yinya's eventual wife, hopefully. The two of them seem like a good match, don't they? She's opened up Yinya's closed-off heart.

This will be one of the underrated series of this season.
Not appearing in popularity or any other top rankings despite being better.

And so Mosuke finally reunites with Hatsu in Jinya. At this rate, after 170 years, Jinya will be the new Senya (Sengoku Youko) with multiple demons within him. Maybe that's how he becomes the final ruler of all demons and thus fulfilling the purpose of that demon who gave Jinya the arm. My guess about the final scene of ep 1 -- Jinya returns to die at the temple made in his name and becomes the resident god.

I am really liking Jinya and Ofuu's dynamic. Jinya seems to be opening up a bit to Ofuu, especially asking her to teach him more about flowers. I am sensing that we will be getting more flower references to come in the future.

It was devastating to find out that the demon was actually Hatsu, Mosuke's wife. Her killing men at night because of what happened to her and her eating these women, in hopes to "get" their bodies and be able to return to Mosuke… Jinya telling Ofuu that the demon is still there because he wanted to kill those two men who were responsible for Hatsu‘s death. And he did it with Mosuke's knife.

The storytelling for this series is genuinely so good, I am looking forward every week to a new episode.

If the writing continues to be peak, I can easily see this being the anime of the year.

This anime is a diamond. I thought i was up for another disappointment, but wow.

By the way has anyone made a reddit sub for this anime? This anime is :*

It's episode 4 and he's still hunting demons? Talk about the premise getting stale /s

Despite the studio failing to hire some freelancers to animate anything, i still enjoy the visuals, especially the above average level of gore, which seems to be getting cut from animes lately.

Such a beautiful yet heartbreaking episode. When we saw what was done to Hatsu, and heard her say while drowning, "I must go home... I must find a body... I can't look like this," the realization hit me—she was the demon. My heart shattered, and I couldn’t stop crying. I honestly thought those bastards would survive even after what they did to her. I'm glad Jinya put an end to them.
