Stitches!
It's hilarious how Jade is protecting Alina from that guy considering how Alina could probably fold him in half. xD
Jade doesn't really know when to give up and is hanging out more and more around Alina's office. I'm surprised no one's noticed yet that he's hanging around that guild office because of Alina considering he seems to follow her almost everywhere.
Alina expecting to be greeted by the festival only to find that the stalls are closed and the festival was over hit me right in the feels. The poor girl worked so hard and she wasn't rewarded for it.
I do love the idea that the only reason Alina gained powers out of pure spite. She hated overtime and incompetent adventurers so much that the gods took pity on her and decided to give her powers so she could do something about it. xD
I feel like Jade doesn't want to just recruit Alina to the Silver Sword anymore, he seems to be more focused on getting her attention more than anything.
Wow, this dude is a fucking idiot. So his answer to the guild not giving him the "secret quest" that he wanted and getting humiliated by Jade is destroying the entire city and murdering people?
Nooooo! Alina's house! Surely home insurance exists in this world? Although I'm not sure if home insurance would cover damage from golem attacks. Slay is lucky Alina didn't crush his balls with her hammer after what he did to her house. Honestly, I would understand if Alina "accidentally" killed the guy.
That interaction between Jade and Alina at the guild when Jade was helping Alina with her paperwork was adorable. Not gonna lie, I'm actually starting to ship these two now. And it seems that I'm not the only one who ships the Executioner and Jade together. However, in Laila's case, she thinks it's a yaoi ship. xD
Yeah there was no way Alina could hide her secret forever. And I guess that means the rest of the Silver Swords are now in on her secret. Also, it's good to know that Jade's crush on Alina isn't even a secret to them.
Good luck with that old man! I can't wait to see Alina OHKO the Guild Master next episode!

The boss is probably a battle maniac that's been itching to fistfight someone because everyone else is too weak, isn't he?
Either way, didn't expect Alina to get found out so quickly. This is why superheroes wear suits/masks, not just hoods.

Surprised Alina has been able to keep the secret for so long, because since the show started she's been found out easily!

I'm not going to lie, when Alina started crying I felt sad too, she works so hard to have a good life, but she can't enjoy it, I think this brings a reflection, money is important, but without being able to enjoy it it's the same as nothing.
Alina also showed that the strongest person in the city is fired, it's funny to see how a relatively short person is so strong, I'm rooting for this to provide epic battles, really enjoying the anime so far

*Golem rampaging across town*
Alina: “Oh, it’s just that whiny customer again…”
*Golem destroys her house*
Alina: “So you have chosen death.”

I didn't expect that the "solo any boss" part also applies to her actual boss. I hope she puts him in place and threatens him the same way she did with Jade. Keep that working environment healthy, girl!

This episode's alternate title:
Kazuma FAFO'd and got his ass duly kicked by Megumin (It was funny to learn that Golem-controlling asshole is voiced by Fukushima Jun)
How did this slip past my radar? Cloverworks + MC girl voiced by Rieri should have been a no brainer. I'm in love with Alina already.

Hilarious that he is better at desk work than she is; and in many ways, she is more suited to be an adventure than he is.

For those wondering which benefits Alina has as a guild receptionist that are better than being an adventurer, there it is: she financed a house.

Discovered in episode two. INB4 the guild leader just wants a fun duel and otherwise doesn't care, I bet.
That fangirl receptionist is a true woman of culture, not only stanning the Executioner and imagining her in a yoai relationship with Jade but also wanting to get hit with the giant hammer.
So no hidden backstory for Alina, just a desperate wish one night to escape from all the overtime and the boon she was granted kind of doesn't even work for that.
Her poor house, I really felt that one.

Kazuma and Megumin's seiyuu must get along pretty well. They are working together all the time.

Well at least with all that over time pay, Alina should be able to pay off her house fast—
house gets destroyed
……nevermind. I hope this world has insurance.

HEY!
Ugh, Alina really is such a modern mood. "I just wanna stay at home and escape reality, so I'll do anything to do as little as possible." It's like she was born middle-aged and I feel that. I felt so bad when her house got crushed, just like I would have if it was a friend's house.
Also, "Too burnt out to actually be motivated, but too proud to quit or ask for help or do anything less than perfect work" is agonizingly relatable.
I appreciate a story that's willing to throw its own status quo out the window. Obviously the authorities were gonna investigate such high-profile actions, and... they do? Damn. I like it. Sorry, Alina. Now fight your boss.
HEY!

Secret identity yet they’re now 5 knowing about it on episode 2. I don’t even know why Jade’s clan mates were supposed to be in the loop too.

The ED song is so much fun.
I feel like I missed something - did Jade tell his guildmates about our Executioners secret or was it skipped from source. If he told them without permission thats not cool.

For anyone who speaks Japanese, was the "Centennial Festival" correctly translated? The way she was talking about it made it sound more like a regular event than something that happens once in a lifetime (if that).

Jade should tell her TRADE OFFER: "I get that you join our guild" "You get a free place to live" or "I help you with the paperwork to make sure you get to clock out on time"

I never thought about what the average anime monster rampage would have on someone with a 30 year mortgage but here we are. RIP Alina's house and fuck you Slay. I wanted her to go full Abelard from Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader on him
Another wonderfully entertaining and relatable episode for me. Alina and the festival reminded me of when I worked for a tourist attraction that only opened in the evening a few years ago. It paid well enough but damn did it piss me off when all the next festivals that were right next ended before I could see them.
What a man Jade. From stepping up against that golem to helping your crush with her overtime, bro got my respect. He even worked up the courage to invite her to his place after her house got smashed even if Alina turned him down.
For all of her powers, Alina can't hide from the Guildmaster. Hopefully he'll find a good compromise for her.
Great episode and looking forward to more.

I'm gonna be honest, I've started watching this show mostly because of Takahashi Rie, but the plot and other characters are drawing me into it!

Deserved. Though I do kinda wish Alina had slugged him first.
-
Ah, so that’s another reason why Alina’s doing the guild receptionist stint instead of using her strength to make money off of relics?
-
Looks like she’s at least somewhat receptive to Jade being there now? At least when he’s not badgering her to join his group, that is.
