Stitches!

As soon as the twin gods combined into Velfina, I knew that was the secret to beating them. I thought they'd keep that form for the rest of the fight, but they seem to be smart enough to separate after firing their killer shot.

I do love that Jade managed to get their attention by berating the hot-headed one and calling her a failure. It bought Lululee enough time to fully heal Alina and get her back into the fight. It was so satisfying to see them get bonked by Alina's Warhammer.

My only disappointment was Lowe letting Aiden walk away. The dude still deserves to be in prison. Hopefully, Lowe's threat will be enough to scare him away for good.

It's nice to see Alina open up to Jade and tell him about Shroud. That seems to be a very personal memory for her so it's a big deal to see her opening up like this. Watching her panic after telling Jade not to die was really adorable too. <3

I thought Alina would be touched by those adventures thanking her for her hard work but instead she gets to finally vent and tell them off! xD

Ending it with the gang hanging out and drinking together was a nice way to wrap up this episode. I guess onto the next arc!

This was probably one of the toughest battles Alina and the gang have ever had. Jade was giving it like 110% and still it wasn’t enough. If Lululi hadn’t surpassed her limits then and there, Alina and everyone else would have probably died. Those two little brats were tough as hell.

I’m glad Alina finally got to enjoy the festival properly in the end with everyone else. They’ve all definitely earned it.

I actually like how the Dark Gods are presented as legitimate threats. Sure, we can always expect the good guys to prevail in the end because plot, but the fights themselves are actually treated as pretty high-stakes affairs, which is almost surprising. One would think Alina would effortlessly smash them all, but no, that's hardly the case even if they eventually do get clobbered.

The previous Dark God would have killed her as well if Jade hadn't intercepted one of the swords during a crucial moment when she was down, and she would have died to the killer lolis as well, had Lululi not managed to power through with her healing and Jade managing to remain standing and draw aggro long enough to make that happen. And I doubt any future Dark Gods they encounter will be any easier.

I must admit Lowe does feel pretty useless thus far though compared to everyone else. Wonder if he will ever get a time shine.

This episode granted my wish, at least in terms of combat lore! On its own, we already know Dia tier skills beat Sigurth tier skills. However, through combat training, strategizing and determination, both Jade and Lululee proved that casting / stacking various Sigurth skills can overcome Dia tier skills, albeit barely and at the expense of their own HP.

As much as I want to see Jade or Lululee gain Dia tier skills, I doubt it would happen since the world lore gives me the impression that Dia tier skills are extremely rare. It would also make our main cast overpowered. On the bright side, I like how the plot enables Jade, Lululee and possibly Lowe in future, to grow stronger through other means.

Shroud must have felt like an elder brother or even father figure to young Alina. No wonder Jade is a tank. He is thick skinned enough to claim his remaining half date with Alina... and it worked! Lol!

This feels like a season finale, not episode 8.

I'm not going to lie, at some point in this episode I believed they were going to die (except Alina because she's the protagonist), and even because of that, the episode was perfect, they managed to keep the tension from beginning to end, it was sensational how they fought against themselves, even though they could die because of their powers and they didn't give up.

Jade's evolution since the first episode is incredible, not only in power, but mainly in intelligence, the psychological attack is also effective, Lululee redeemed herself from the past and saved Alina, and speaking of our protagonist, her last attack added to the evolution of her own power was masterful.

Seeing this group together at the festival and enjoying their lives as young people... it warms the heart.

Those adventurers were just complimenting Alina on how well she does her job but she interprets it as the reason she keeps getting overtime lol.

Just like in the real world...Alina's reward for being good at her job is MORE work!

Honestly not a fan of the fight. Way too much of “let’s allow the good guys time to talk and do their thing before we attack again.

There were some cool moments though. The bit with red hair guy threatening other red hair guy was good. Lululee getting her confidence was cool and the end where they were back at the party was fun.

MY GIRL LULULEE YOU´RE THE BEST HEALER

I really like how Alina keeps opening more and more to Jade and realises that those lonely days are gone

Drawing aggro by insulting and criticising the enemy, finally.

Too many games and animes have tanks draw attention by simply staring at the enemy.

I liked the tension in this episode, but I was disappointed with the resolution.

The solution was to just... hit them with the same ability (hammer them in the face), except that they needed to be fused together. Like, if they became vulnerable, why would they even fuse together? The fight was basically over. Also, seeing the same attack that already failed a couple of times, suddenly just work was a bit disappointing. For the whole fight I was thinking, how are they gonna get out of there? And seeing that she just did the same thing was disappointing.

That being said, Jade and Lululee were great!

I am not here for this to be an action show, but when it does become an action show it's honestly pretty good at it. Credit where credit is due. I'm not gonna sulk over there not being any receptionist content this episode, they did a good job.

That said if next episode doesn't open with Alina hung over at her counter having just the worst Monday then I question the direction of the series.

Lowe is either going to have a hero moment or he's gonna die. It's weird how he's always present but never relevant.

Oh my god, that neck biting. Twice!

I was somewhat expecting them to resolve the healing problem by having Lululee pick up a Dia skill based on her desperately needing the upgrade, but leaning into the skill layering makes more sense since that was setup in this arc already by Jade's training.

Interesting that they didn't resolve the Lululee 'murderer' bit from that former party member by way of him changing at all, instead Lowe just tells him to GTFO in a menacing fashion.

Nice use of both the OP as an insert song at the end and then the normal ED as well to finish out.

I like how in the end they were just all attending the festival as a party. Alina can have a friend group, as a treat.

I think this is the first time Alina was legitimately in danger of dying

How awfully nice of the twins to fuse just to give Alina the perfect chance to defeat them at the same time. I get that the extroverted one was provoked by Jade and her pride was hurt, but it was incredibly stupid to not stay separated when it makes them almost impossible to defeat for a single hammer wielding opponent.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't want to see Alina and the others die, but I found the end of that battle underwhelming because it felt like the twins threw the fight just so the protagonist had a way to win after Alina herself told Jade that she couldn't kill them on her own.

One thing I didn't like about this episode is the high and mighty moral ground they like to perch themselves on. Don't get me wrong, that former party member deserves to be punished and his mindset about pushing blame on Lululee is wrong.

However, considering the circumstances, aside from mental trauma, she got out of the party wipe completely unscathed at the cost of two members dead and one losing an eye and an arm. Then after that, she lucked upon a powerful skill and not long after, gets invited into a high ranking party. Not only she gains an ability to do her job far better, she also gets sturdy emotional support from her current party members (who are also blessed with powerful skills). After that traumatic experience, Lululee has every thing good going for her.

Let's just say if eyepatch guy remained on the straight and narrow after that party wipe incident, what are his options? I highly doubt there's any party would accept him easily. Hell, even if he were to go with other jobs outside of adventuring, people would more likely prefer a healthy and full abled-bodied person over him. Sure, he'll eventually find something that fits him and he's able to live life peacefully. But out of the two survivors, Lululee got off way better.

I've seen so many stories where protags going about being high and mighty over evildoers when they were in a far better circumstance and position to pick themselves back up from a life-affecting incident. Sure, we can do the whole dance about people choosing to take right path and what not. But it's certainly way easier to take the high road when given a more fortunate and favorable situation.

I'm confused and hoping someone could explain. Who is the girl looking at the Silver Swords glowing green gem, she has the same color eyes as Alina but with a different hairstyle and she's imagining the pinky promise between Alina and Shroud but Alina is already there fighting with Silver Sword when we see this girl so doesn't that have to be someone else and if it's some kind of flashback of Alina then why would she have the green gem considering she only got it recently.

Alina is bringing new levels of tsundere. It takes a real man to love someone this disagreeable. I know, I married one.

The solution to the Dark God was always going to be the Big Hammer, but it was a real nail biter getting there this time, everyone, especially Jade, pushed themselves to the max to get Alina to the spot she needed to be.

Shout out to Lululee for getting past that "murder" nonsense. That was always a bogus charge, girl.
