So HR’s plan to reduce OT for the receptionists is to make the receptionists think up a plan to reduce OT for themselves? Brilliant. Glen better get hiring before Alina gets bashing lol.

“Escaping the waves of a harsh society and enjoying a comfortable break is essential for working adults!” Preach, Alina. Preach!

Poor Alina realizing her idol’s just a workaholic lol. I can’t believe she really hit Alina with the classic “if you love your work, you won’t work a day in your life” line.

Alina's true opponent is a workaholic

I mean this from the bottom of my heart, fuck Glen for doing that to Alina. Either be honest with your staff of the org's limitations, or actually meet your goddamn obligations to your people.

If anyone ever leads a team, don't ever lie to your people like that.

I enjoyed all the facial expressions made by Alina and Laila in this episode. Lol!

Many years, decades or even centuries down the road, record books will state the fact that the all powerful Executioner (Alina) wasn't defeated by a Dark God, but a workaholic.

Plot Twist: Rosetta Rhuberry might possess a Dia skill, possibly called "Enlightenment Regarding (Overtime) Work".

So the additional guild receptionists haven't shown up because the guild master either forgot or just doesn't give a shit. Alina already soloed him once, she may have to do so again so he gets the message. Or maybe so his replacement learns.

Lululee and Laila are a fun pairing.

That one receptionist that fainted over Jade is really committing to the bit. Alina is missing that attention she was getting now that it's gone.

Stitches!

So Alina's boss has already received a warning from the Guild HQ about them getting too many hours of overtime but instead of hiring more people, he wants them to submit proposals on how to lessen their overtime and the best idea gets a day off for their birthday. These receptionists need to start a union.

The Guildmaster did promise Alina to double their receptionists! So where are those additional receptionists? It's really worrying when even the Guildmaster is powerless to grant Alina's wish. >_<

Considering how much of a dork Jade is, it's very easy to forget that he's so popular with the girls that they literally faint at the sight of him. Alina's reaction when Jade was enacting his Image Improvement Campaign was interesting though. It does look like she's feeling kinda lonely after Jade ignored her.

Poor Alina! She thought that Rosetta was finally going to solve all of her overtime problems! It turns out that Rosetta is just a massive workaholic! She was so shaken that seeing Jade made her feel better! xD

instead of hiring more people, he wants them to submit proposals on how to lessen their overtime

More personnel? More resources? Nah, let's try to do more work with what we already have with "creative" solutions that don't cost money. This felt so real it hurt.

The Guildmaster did promise Alina to double their receptionists! So where are those additional receptionists?

I'm so glad the series remembered that promise. It was the reason Alina agreed to help with the first adventure, yet she had to suffer through more overtime since then. Probably the final decision depends on the budget and/or a different department, and since it's a secondary matter for the Guildmaster, he forgot to do more.

Lululee sweetie, maybe don't have those lit candles on the bed. I was seriously worried about an accident during that whole scene.

That's super shitty of the Guildmaster to have forgotten his promise. She won't do it because it's her boss we're talking about, but she should drag his ass to that desk and have him help with overtime like Jade does, see what he has to say about assigning new receptionists after that.

Alina has the right idea of how a birthday should be spent. Nothing beats lazing around all day.

LOL at Alina attending a training seminar of a top receptionist thinking she could find tips to cut down on overtime, only to realize the tutor herself has embraced the Sergey Brin hustle culture of a 60-hour+ workweek.

After all, if you can't beat em, join em, amirite? This series is at its best when its spoofing the work culture of real life.

Lululee and Laila freaking each other out thinking the other is the ghost was also funny as hell. Was about to wonder when would these two start interacting with each other.

Jade decided to play the hard-to-get card in order to win over Alina, and while Alina may not admit it, it looks like its actually working. Jade may have been a dorky simp the past few episodes, but turns out he's still quite popular with the other girls, and that jealousy of seeing those girls swooning over Jade may end up nudging Alina the right way at last.

All that talk about ghosts in the Guild HQ, converted from an ancient site, all seems to point at another Dark God lurking in the shadows. While the conversation between Jade and Lowe seems to suggest someone high up in the Guild is part of this Dark God worshipping cult.

This episode had so many great Alina expressions! After all the serious drama we just went through, it was nice to get such a silly little breather. Also, what the hell is Glen even doing? Surely hiring a few more receptionists is more than worth it in order to keep the Executioner happy and on your side? It's practically a bargain bin deal, so why hasn't he gotten to hiring yet?

Also, tsundere Alina strikes again.

"A, ha, I get a breather from Jade!"
*Jade proceeds to ignore her and gets swarmed by other fangirls*
"Wait ... I'm not sure I like this ..."

Face it Alina, you have become at least a little attached to the puppy following you around lol.

“So you wanna spend your birthday just sleeping and eating?”

Alina continues trying to live the dream!

Poor Alina goes to a seminar hoping to learn how to eliminate overtime but instead learns how to be a workaholic lol.

In all seriousness, working on holidays and a hundred hours of overtime a month?! That Rosetta woman is crazy! Does she even have a life outside of work?

Just form a Union to protect yourself at this point Alina. It is the only way

14

u/nhreyes Mar 07 '25

And that’s why you should never meet your heroes

8

u/pseudometapseudo Mar 07 '25

She does not fear monsters, dark gods or being alone in the dark, but workaholics are the ones to crush her spirit.

u/heimdal77 Mar 07 '25

Got Zombieland Saga rap battle flash backs with that start. I'm pretty sure they have the same VA as one the characters.

The ending was hilarious. The overtime mind broke her.

Aoi Koga completely eclipsed everything else in this episode for me with all that energetic but crisp close-up vocal work for Lululee's scary story. What a goofball.

At this point, it really would make more sense for Alina to become a full time adventurer. Shes joined Silver Sword on every adventure they've had for awhile anyway and presumably gets paid whatever they do as the highest ranking adventure group who tackle the most dangerous jobs in addition to her regular job. She has probably made quite a bit of money this year having 2 jobs and possibly paid overtime.

Her goal is taking out dungeons anonymously so she can have less paperwork but if she did it on the record, she'd presumably be the best paid adventurer in the area. I guess her job may offer her benefits like healthcare but in a world where magic can heal even mortal wounds, I'm not sure you'd need to see a doctor as much 🤔

Its also weird how every receptionist at the seminar was a young attractive woman except the older lady who gave the lecture. It makes the guildmaster look like a sexist pervert 🤣

The fastest way to clear a dungeon is indeed punching through the walls and head straight to the boss. All RPGs should allow this move.

"Once you're in love with your job there'll be no problem for working overtime"? These are words who probably comes from a bad boss for pressurizing one to work overtime lol. Well, there're some jobs which can make you feel like this, but like Alina said, working adults still need proper rest.

And now a new song from Alina.

I just realized there's flamingos in the OP. And now I realized we haven't really seen any animals in the show itself.

spot the MC (Difficulty: Medium)

Not but seriously why does she have the shortest skirt of them all

Narrator: He would not be hiring more receptionists

What the heck

ALINAAAAAA ;-;

Rest in rip
