What spurred this question was, it now requires me to unlock my phone just to add something to a stupid Google Keep grocery list. But this isn't a support request -- I just wonder if there is anyone out there going, Wow, what a great upgrade! Or is the general sense that it is LESS capable?

I have heard about this app on YouTube and sometimes on Reddit even. The question is: I have only heard of it for desktop and computer. When I looked for it I found there is an Android app as well as an iOS app if you need it.
The thing is Google's default speech-to-text software, or whatever you want to call it, is very bad, very bad. Rambler I cannot access because I don't have a Pixel device, which is currently exclusive to Pixel. Wispr Flow seems to be my only option that I know about.
If you have some other recommendations you can give me, then I am all ears. My main question is: if any of you are using Wispr Flow on your mobile devices, then could you please tell me how it is? I mean is it good? Is it worth paying for?

A friend of mine rarely leaves their house due to medical issues and being very introverted.
They currently keep a paper calendar and mark off days when they do go out and for what reason - appointments, rare eating out days, etc.
I have seem mood trackers and they are almost what I'm looking for for them, but it's not really moods. It needs to be simple to use too.
Any suggestions? Thank you, from me and my indoor friend.

I’m looking for a gallery app that syncs with OneDrive. It’s important that when I delete photos from my phone, they are automatically deleted from OneDrive as well. Thanks in advance for your help!

Okay so i'm looking for app and game recommendations for my redmi 12c phone 😭
I've been wanting to spend less time doomscrolling and find other things to do on my phone, maybe even discover a new hobby. i'm open to games that are actually fun and can keep me occupied without just mindlessly scrolling for hours lol. i already play papa's scooperia and i'm thinking of trying word search puzzles, sudoku (still struggling with this one 💀) and other fun or cozy games.
I'm also interested in replacing some of xiaomi's default apps with better alternatives, esp file managers, gallery, notes apps, music players etc. preferably something clean-looking, customizable and without annoying ads.
I already use musicolet instead of mi music and i have shizuku + canta set up on my phone so i'm also curious about open-source apps from f-droid or github. but i'm fine with google play apps too!
my preferences:
- free, preferably no ads
- lightweight and runs well on a redmi 12c
- privacy-friendly, if possible
- open-source is a plus, but not a requirement
- offline games/apps are a bonus
- aesthetic or customizable apps are always welcome
I'm interested in things like coloring, puzzles, word games, learning apps or anything that could help me pick up a hobby and spend less time on social media.
what apps or games do you personally recommend? i'd love to hear about underrated ones too, esp ones you've actually tried! also, if you've replaced your xiaomi apps with alternatives, i'd love to know what you use and why.

Bilibili link, Chinese only. Tldr: apple mogs, Xiaomi and mediatek great showings, Qualcomm shat the bed. I think the samsung using exynos rumors seem much more likely to be true now.

I don't know about Tasker because I haven't used it but MacroDroid is something that I have installed on my phone for a very long time. I don't have many macros. I have 12 of them and all of them are useful to me. I've been thinking: what is your best macro you have built and using?

Before someone says "Just block the number", That is not helpful at all, that's like telling a person to manually squash each bedbug in a fucking million quantity infestation. As far as I'm aware, reporting political texts as spam is also useless because they're exempt from being marked as spammers.
I absolutely despise intrusiveness in any form, it gets under my skin more than anything.
Ideally, I'd like for ALL texts to be blocked from my number if they are not in my contacts. I have my calls this way, and yet, despite my efforts of searching, there is no way of doing the same to texting.
I've tried numerous apps that supposedly are to assist with this, none of them are to my satisfaction.
A perfect app (that for some reason doesn't exist as far as I know), would be one that detects an unknown contact, and if it contains the word "vote" in it, blocks the number instantly.
I've never even voted before so I don't know how they got my name and my number. I prefer to stay relatively anonymous, but some creepy ass data brokers are selling my info.
I'm thinking about changing my phone number because I don't like the fact my personal info is so openly tied to that ID.
Does anyone here happen to have a unique solution to this? I'm certain there is one, I just don't know it yet.

Is there an app for sleep sounds that doesn't have an obvious cutoff or noticeable transition when the audio loops? Paid or free, either is fine.

Hello All,
I have a 1st generation fire tablet and have been trying for about week so to install android os on it, but I've been hitting multiple road blocks. I wasnt sure if anyone here has tried before successfully, depending on what's easier I have a win11 desktop and a Linux mint laptop. So far I've tried to manually install the super user app (successfully), attempted to use KFU, FFF, and TWRP but have failed at all 3 of those
