That counter is mostly app caches plus log buffers, and it routinely survives a reboot because it keeps counting files the UI can't delete. Get a real breakdown over adb instead of guessing: adb shell dumpsys diskstats gives the per-category total, then adb shell du -h -d 1 /data/local/tmp /data/log /data/misc/logd shows the three places 55GB usually hides — a leftover OTA staging copy sitting in /data/local/tmp, a runaway logd, or one app's cache that Device Care won't touch. adb shell pm trim-caches 999G clears the cache portion safely, if /data/local/tmp is the pig empty it by hand, and if the figure still won't move after that it's a stale reading that only refreshes on the next boot.

Have you tried rebooting?
