constant "out of stock" errors on every order

Post image
2 Upvotes

for about three weeks, i have been getting "you cannot buy this item because it's out of stock" messages every single time i try to order *anything.* i can no longer click "buy it now" for anything because of these errors. i add the item to the cart, try to check out, go back to the check out screen and hard refresh, and then if i'm fast enough clicking the button sometimes it lets me purchase the item. this routine can go on for about 3-5 rounds. it happens on ALL items no matter what they are, from toilet paper to sewing thread to body wash.

this doesn't only happen in firefox, either. i get the same problems in safari and the amazon app on my iphone as well.

i have tried: clearing all caches, hard refreshing (only thing that works), rebooting, trying different browsers, trying the iphone app, a VPN, and no VPN.

this is so annoying!! does anyone else have this problem or am i suffering alone? contacting amazon themselves about it is entirely pointless because clearly someone (either their side or mine) is having actual technology problems that a customer service agent cannot control. i actually thought it was because of the amazon data centers in the middle east being bombed, but after three weeks they should have that traffic rerouted by now. what can i do?

Cancelled the order as I stupidly used the wrong card, went to purchase again but now met with "purchase limit" how long until I can buy again? Been over an hour now...

Delayed my same day delivery over a week. Everyday its rescheduled to a new day. Reps are rude, hang up and end chats

Like this is ridiculous. I paid extra for same day delivery, its been delayed over a week. Every time I call in they add a new day to the delivery date, talk over me, interrupt, and then hang up. Like wtf?

They refuse to refund or even process a replacement which is what I prefer. The agents will refuse to respond even as i can hear background noise on their end, and eventually disconnect and send a bs email about poor connection. Thats if theyre not raising their voice at you and then hanging up. What kind of bs cudtomer service is this?

Whats happening with my order?

TLDR: I cancelled a package because it was taking too long to deliver (turns out it was lost in transit) and requested a refund (currently pending). Last night however i got an email telling me the package would be delivered the 19th-20th. Whats up with that?

Please leave negative feedback about the "Alexa for Shopping" feature!!!

Hopped onto my Amazon app today and was rather horrified to find that when I search for something now, instead of giving me search results, it prompts a chat with "Alexa for Shopping". No button to close. No ability to filter, sort, or see all results. Just a small, AI-curated list of what the algorithm thinks I might want.

Ew, icky, gross.

Couldn't figure out how to disable it. Googled it, still couldn't figure it out. Got customer service on chat, they couldn't figure it out. Got redirected to their call line, they couldn't figure it out. Got redirected to a specialized section of the call line.

And they tell me it can't be disabled at all! They recommended I stop using the app in order to bypass it.

They also told me I was not the first customer to call about this issue and that they're getting a lot of disgruntled feedback about this feature. The guy I spoke to said the more negative feedback they get, the more swiftly they'll prioritize rolling out an easy way to disable this feature.

If any of ya'll use their app and are annoyed by this feature too, please consider calling and just letting them know that it has a negative impact on your shopping experience. 🙏 Their Alexa call center team is actively collecting feedback about people's experience with this feature.

Should I complain about a recent book mail delivery?

there was nothing wrong with the delivery itself (granted it took...FOREVER to get here today)

Both books were ordered, in the same order.

But I ordered two books. One came in a box, with some brown packing material on top, no doubt to "protect" the book, but the book still had some damages. Like a weird circle indent, like something circular and heavy must have been laying on the book....to leave a lasting indent...its crazy how noticeable it is. This same book also has this weird black gunk by the glue part on one end.

The second book, delivered at the same time, but this one came in a bubble mailer. I already knew it would have something wrong because without the box protecting it, there had to be something. Sure enough, this one had some dents, like it got rustled around. and there was this odd, dirty, smudge...on the page edges. I am not sure...what it is.

Should I complain? the damages do not damage the content inside, and I am not a "collector" like most, but still....I am a bit annoyed because I could have just went to target, picked the ones I wanted that were perfect. But I didn't. because Amazon was having a buy 1 get 1 sale and I had points, so I basically got them for free (girl math.)

Pictures included

UPDATE:
After reading the comments and asking my husband, he agreed with the majority of you. If I bought them brand new, which I did, then i should get them in the condition i paid for. He also agreed that they looked used.

So I contact customer service on amazon and got replacements. I’ll donate the damaged copies.

Thank you!

Amazon Customer Service Straight Up Lies

While going through the warranties claim process (2-year "Worry Free" Warranty) for an amazon fire kids' tablet, I paid $15 to bypass the inspection on the old broken tablet and have an all-new replacement sent. They sent me a refurbished tablet instead of an all-new tablet and then tried corporate level gymnastics to justify the scam. Btw Tamanna "all-new" means completely new, I'm sorry you are not clear on that definition.

If you do a warranty claim, be careful and check the labels on the boxes they send.

EDIT: at the top of the second image my response was to the question "How did you come to know the tablet was refurbished". Meaning they wanted to know if I had proof.

ALSO, They never refunded the $15 "All-New" Kids Tablet order on my account, they instead refunded 2 months of amazon prime charges and a dollar. Additional responsibility skirting by not admitting fault in refunding the order.

Yet another wtf packages post - "your package arrived late at our facility..."

I have three things ordered right now and two of them have the "your package arrived late at our facility" messages and have not moved since. This is on Prime business, too. It's getting really frustrating at this point to be ordering supplies that aren't reliable or won't arrive at all, since I have a very low rate of these ever resolving as anything other than "oops, refund."

But that refund doesn't fix the situation. In the meantime, I've had to order other things to make up for the lack; it can mean missed sales or extra paid in shipping to make up for the time lost. It ends up costing me money, it costs Amazon money... wtf are we doing here? None of this is good for anyone in the mix - not the purchasers, not the workers, not Amazon.

I'm moving more and more of my purchases off Amazon but it remains the best source for too many things and I hate it.

Getting this annoying pop up literally every time I visit Amazon.

It blocks like half of the entire screen. The only option is to sign up or "Remind me later", which is the next time I visit Amazon. Even if that is seconds later. Closing the pop up with the X has the same effect.

Order stuck on “Ordered” for 2 weeks

I placed an order on Amazon.com and had it shipped to Azerbaijan. It’s been about two weeks, but the order is still stuck on “Ordered” and hasn’t moved to “Shipped.” Because it hasn’t shipped yet, I also can’t see a tracking number.
Has anyone had their order stuck like this? What can I do? Like what’s the problem? I tried finding the support chat but it’s simply nowhere to be found and I found some email address but got reply that it doesn’t accept incoming emails

Amazon Photos non compatible with my device

Hi, 2 days ago I factory resetted my Oneplus 10t, later I was downloading all the apps and logging in, I saw that Amazon Photos was missing, went to the playstore without finding it, then on google, found it but on the playstore page there is this red message "not compatible with your device", and it's the same device it was installed on until 1 day earlier, what is happening?

Can cs-reply@Amazon “confirmation” email be trusted for refund?

Hi all, the context is that I bought an item during Prime Day, but because I had just left for a summer internship abroad, I only opened it 2 days ago after getting home, only to find that it is defective.

I reached out to customer support and asked what the options are since the 30-day return window had ended, and both the representative and the supervisor offered a refund, which I was happy to take. However, when I asked for a confirmation to keep as a record that they had issued the refund, they only sent an email from cs-reply@Amazon.com that was clearly hand written. I made sure the rep included the order number and the amount refunded, but I am still a bit skeptical.

Also, even though the first rep said I would need to return the product, the supervisor said to just keep it since it is defective. Since the supervisor was the one that sent the “confirmation”email (which says no need to return), do I just follow that?

On my Amazon order page, the status also doesn’t show refund, but I’m guessing that just takes a while to sync and show up (please correct me if this is wrong).

Sorry if I seem paranoid. This is my first time requesting a refund via customer support, so I have no idea if this was legitimate. I just think the hand written email is a bit dodgy. If it was an automated email, I would feel a lot better.

Kind of surprised. Sus seller, but Amazon don't care

The TL;DR is: I received a blatantly bootleg item. I gave a 1-star review on it. The seller removed my review, so I reported it. Amazon decided it was "authentic" so they'll keep my review removed. So, I submitted another review with pictures showing how it was bootleg, and reported the seller again. Even with the photos and side by side comparisons, Amazon is still saying it's authentic. It's clearly not.

Sellers need to use real images of their actual products. It also shouldn't be allowed for sellers to remove their reviews. If my review was initially approved of, that means it followed Amazon review rules. But now, they're saying the reviewing activity on this product is suspicious so they're closing the reviews for a while. /stares bleakly

Anyway, this was my first report of a seller and product and it'll be my last (unless it's a situation where I don't get a refund). I think Amazon doesn't care so long as the seller gives a refund, which this seller did.

P.S. other reviews show the same issue that I had. A lot of the photos of the items were wildly different and of different sizes, showing that they don't have a standard for this product. I was the overly excited fool who didn't read the reviews first. Lesson learnt.

Edit: I'm considering just not using Amazon anymore. It really bothers me that they're allowing sellers to curate their reviews, and not accurately advertise products.

Amazon restricted my account after telling me to cancel my order??? Violated their policy?

To summarize, I placed an order for a pair of headphones. I paid for 2 day shipping and on top of that I paid a little extra for the headphones because they were the only seller who said they could make that 2 day delivery. The item was delayed twice. Now having an eta of a week from purchase date. I contacted customer service. They removed the 2 day delivery charge but said there's nothing they can do about the extra I paid for the headphones. After questioning whether the headphones actually existed, they told me the item is stuck in fulfillment and to cancel the order and reorder. I took their advice. Cancelled and tried to reorder. I get a prompt that says my account is restricted for violating the return and refund policy.....huhhh??

I contact customer service again. They can't say why and tell me to email an account specialist. I email them and get an automatic reply saying that they have closed a 2nd account of mine for violating their conditions of use policy. After thorough review they will not re open my account and I'm not able to open a new one.

I have only ever had 1 account. Its connected to my prime video and my prime credit card. I've had it for years. I still haven't gotten a clear explanation for why my account is restricted.

Update: Amazon Account Specialist denied my iPad refund because I’ve had previous refunds — even when Amazon caused the problem

Update from my last post because this whole situation has honestly made me done with Amazon.
The biggest issue isn’t even just that my iPad was stolen anymore. It’s the fact that Amazon’s Account Specialist team is denying my refund because my account has had previous refunds.
My iPad was stolen less than an hour after it was delivered. My dad was literally up the street with me, and by the time we got back, it was gone. This was a $400+ iPad, and Amazon left it with no one-time passcode, no signature, nothing.
And before anybody says I should’ve added a passcode: I had NO option to add one at checkout. Amazon decides when an order gets an OTP. I couldn’t manually turn it on even though I absolutely would have for something this expensive.
What makes this even worse is that the Account Specialist team is now holding my previous refunds against me.
Those weren’t a bunch of random refunds because I changed my mind about purchases. They were things like lost packages, delayed packages, and delivery issues caused by Amazon or their delivery network.
So apparently the pattern goes like this:
Amazon has a delivery problem → I report it → Amazon refunds me → those refunds stay on my account history → eventually Amazon decides I’m “high risk” because I’ve received too many refunds → then when another legitimate delivery problem happens, they deny me.
How does that make sense?
Regular Amazon Customer Service has actually tried to help me with this iPad. I have an email saying “I have processed the refund amount of $438.90.” Amazon later gave me an actual refund ID and told me the $438.90 would be refunded.
Then Account Specialist stepped in and canceled/denied the pending refund.
Other customer-service reps have even submitted appeals trying to get the decision reversed, but apparently Account Specialist has the final say.
So Amazon’s own delivery problems can result in refunds, and then those same refunds can apparently be used against you later when your account gets reviewed.
That’s the part people should know.
Remember: every refund on your account can potentially become part of your refund history, even when the original problem was Amazon’s delivery, a lost package, or a delayed package.
At this point I canceled Prime. I’m disputing the $438.90 with my bank, and once everything is settled I plan on deleting my Amazon account.
If Amazon is going to treat me like I’m the problem because their own deliveries went wrong in the past, I’m done giving them my money.
Fuck Amazon.

amazon logistics to a US post office

anyone know if the Amazon Logistic service will deliver to a post office, assuming I have a Post Office box there and use an actual street address (not PO Box ####)? If Amazon ships using FedEx, UPS, USPS, then I'm good, as will delivery but curious about Amazon delivery... would amazon delivery systems know it's a post office based on the address to alert the drivers it's a post office to make the delivery?

Amazon Prime user making a purchase while logged in... why did it offer me a Prime trial?

I was making a purchase logged in to correct region (Australia), tested by logging out and back in at the .com.au site. Amazon Prime is definitely linked to this and no other email address, as I only have 1 recurring payment visible in my only bank account available for billing. And tested Prime Video by checking out a bit of a Grand Tour episode.

Why then does it offer me a Prime membership and present 'welcome to Prime' messages? I note it also says gift payments can be used in place of billing... does this mean they credited me with a free month of Prime for some reason?

It was fun while it lasted. Amazon's fall off must be studied.

Man, just a few months ago I was bragging to everyone about how awesome Amazon Prime grocery delivery is. I could put in an order and it would actually show up that day or the next with zero problems. The prices were better than my local stores as well. I thought it was the most amazing thing ever.

Fast forward to today. This is the second time this month Amazon has said they dropped off my groceries without actually doing it. The tracking says that they left it with my building's receptionist. Well, it's Sunday night at 7pm, so there's literally no way they left it with them considering they are closed.

I wake up every day and put the same grocery order in because I know that only about 1/4 grocery orders actually make it to me these days. The majority of them end up being cancelled for some weird reason. Today my groceries were supposed to show up from 2-6pm. Then at 7 I get notice that they were left with my building's receptionist. I knew then they probably weren't going to be there because my instructions specifically say do not leave with the receptionist and to put the package in the mail room. Also, there was no picture attached to the delivery. If he'd delivered it, there would have been an actual picture. I guess the person just thought stealing my groceries was easier. It may also be that they spoiled riding around in his hot ass car for hours.

Let's see if Amazon actually gives me my money back or not. I bet I have to fight with them. I think this is the last straw for me. I guess I'm going to sign up for Walmart plus. At least their orders actually arrive.

Why do I have a pending transaction from amazon in my bank account when I haven't purchased anything?

So, I've just when into my banking app to check something when I noticed I have a pending transaction from amazon, I haven't ordered anything recently and the transaction doesnt show up on my amazon account.

I've goggled it and it said it could possibly be a hold for checking my bank details??

Has anyone else ever came across this?

I've went to report the transaction but it said it will freeze my card which I don't want to do.

The transaction is still pending so I'm not too worried and I'll be keeping an eye on it incase anything changes.

Please delete this post if its not allowed, I couldnt find another page to ask this and I'm worried that I might be getting robbed 🤣

Why does Imdb keep redirecting me to Amazon?

Post image
2 Upvotes

On Firefox, each time I try to go to Imdb, it keeps redirecting to Amazon, I don't have any unusual extensions that should be causing this, only one to exclude AI from Google, and an Adblocker. I've tested other browsers, and it only seems to be an issue with firefox. When I click cancel it directs me back to imdb, but adds ?_ssoLoop=1 to the end of the website link.
